hello, can I ask you how to take advantage of the NPC time addon? for example the harpies at the lake show 3hr alive timer, but when i fly over village the blue drakes show 20hr timer. what does this essentialy mean? I'm sorry just trying to understand it. ty
I finally got to see the blue dragon for the first time today thanks to this guide! Hopefully it leads to me getting that protodrake in the future!
It will, I am sure of it. We had 3 groups that farmed during different times of the day and all 3 groups managed to get it in a matter of 2 weeks.

I got super lucky with my TLPD spawn on retail during WotLK. Logged in after months of not playing and it was flying by - now I’m trying to farm it for classic

Many years ago I got me a Time-Lost Proto-Drake during Cata after a few weeks of trying. I dismounted too high up and died from fall damage, but luckily had Reincarnation up so it wasn't a waste. It was so much fun as a Tauren shaman to stack size boosting items and then use Bloodlust while on the drake

I was camping for weeks and killed Vyragosa SO MANY TIMES.
I was so crazy, I tied my keyboard to a rotating fan to tap jump to stay active ingame while I slept.
One day finally, I was pouring a cup of coffee at like 4pmish, and suddenly TLPD spawns DIRECTLY ON TOP OF ME!!
Coffee spilled, but mount achieved with attack/spell macro activated.. Definitely takes time.

@@MarcelEntertainment HAHA yes I did! I remember Silverdragon blaring on my screen, looking, actually seeing TLPD and then spamming my attack macro. I think I saw it 2 times before being already dead so it only encouraged me LOL

Hey, i installed SilverDragon, and it seems to have all these scanning features, but how do i enable the paths for my map?
I decided to try and camp this while im waiting for arena season to end. Had nothing better to do, figured id spend the next two weeks standing on a spawn as much as possible. I started at 10AM server time. Npc timer on mobs beneath was at 8 hours and 30 minutes. At 11 server time, Time-Lost Proto spawned, and I killed it and got the mount. Stood there for 1 hour only.
This was on Mograine Wotlk classic just now. Im so hyped. Talk about luck.
Worth to mention, I had one alliance rogue come up to me who wanted to camp same place, which I killed ofc. So i wouldnt need to share the spawn location. He did not return. lmao

i have been camping it on and off, i joined a group once waiting for it and we all got excited when vyragosa spawned... i also saw the time lost protodrake once but that was in wod nagrand...
Yea it spawns way less than Vyragosa. In Nagrand they out an Time-Lost-Proto-Drake Easter Egg to prank players. :)
The most important point in this farming is to have a lot of friends. We shared a lot of information with Marcel and waited together. And we get this mount. Best regards - Karabatak.
Yes, having every spawn point in check and having multiple people scout different realms/instances like wm on, wm off, timewalking for example, checking timers makes getting it much faster.
Got mine tonight. Classic is way more cut throat, you have 20k people and 2 layers, 8 spawn points total. From what i can tell maybe 1 spawn/week per layer, every reset there's a single spawn. You gotta camp people, dont go on dead layers, there's a group of people who know the last spawn/layer, there's a discord.
And no group loot
Yea, if you get 1 on retail people are like: "woooow good mount." Classic: "woooow you are a legend!" I wonder how much of the playerbase on classic owns the time- lost proto-drake actually. The % must be super small in comparison to retail.
i've been casually looking for this since literally wrath, never for hours but just here and there i allways do at least a lap a week, ive seen 14 Vyragosas i fkn hate that dragon

I have a questions about NpcTime tho:
I got to realm where NpcTime shows like 20min on every npc, so obviously realm is fresh BUT the first question is "do rare npcs spawn timer only started? So it will be like 23mins out of 4hour for example or they might be alive?"
And the second question is "what's forces to realm be fresh? Is it like the first person entered the realm or is it like realm refreshes sometimes( or something like this)?"

Wich addon you used on map for see the dragon route/spawn?
i have 2 questions , was this on clasic mode ? all members of the party can get the drake ?
Anyone else seeing more spawns from the southern most spawn point by the gorge? Maybe it's just confirmation bias, but that spawn has over twice as many as the next highest (feels not facts) on my classic server
Taunting counts as tagging it, and doesn't do damage. Could I do that until my group gets to me?
So i almost got it today. After maybe 3 days and total of 2h waiting. But before I could react someone killed him.
Also since I’m a new player, I must say that toxicity of this game is out of the roof.

Yea some people are very selfish and sometimes there are groups camping but they don't invite someone even though they have 1 spot free, it helps to do this with guild mates or people u have known for a bit they will wait and call u once they see it and pull it for everyone. There are still nice people in this game, I would say from personal experience it's a mix of toxic and nice players but don't let the toxic players overshadow the nice ones that still exist out there.

Does this works on actual classic WOTLK? I mean that all party members get it too.
could you explain to me what the alive timer of a random trashmob has to do with the respawn of the rares ?
It means that the phase you are in has been up for the minimum amount of time for any of the rares to spawn. If on wednesday for example the server resets or nobody was in this whole area/phase for some time all mobs get the time 0h0min meaning you must wait for many hours till you can get even a spawn of either Vyragosa or the Time-Lost-Proto Drake. The rare timer for those 2 is at 2-8h so you never want to camp if mobs have a 15 min timer or less since u wait 2h+ in vain.

@@Shammikaze I have not tested it yet, I would need to try it. I know that there are also addons that work in WOTLK classic but not sure which addon there is similar.

How do I sort out Silver dragon to alert me? I have been spending 14 hours-ish per day on a dead RP server with WM on, just lost the mount while watching a TH-cam vid and to top it all off it had died right over my head so I was inside the dead drake....... still no alarm....I think there is something in the settings I need to turn on, there are some options and it says TLPD (boring) what ever that means
It is possible that you have the wrong settings or using an outdated Silverdragon version. I just logged in and checked mine, all seems fine here and alerts work. I recommend if you do not know what happened that the alerts do not work to go on the addon settings under profile and then click on reset profile. This should put it back to base settings in case you accidentally deactivated it by misclicking. Then go to regular rares and see if u get alert sounds as a test.
@@MarcelEntertainment Thank you, I figured I'd move to my other computer and did a fresh instalment of silver dragon and only took more 2 days and 4 spawns, 3 Vyragosa, 4th one was TLPD

Yes it does, however u will want to have flying unlocked first (lvl 30).

On retail WoW if you are near to your group then yes.
If anyone is farming it, I’m down to team up with you! I have the addons he mentioned in the video and I have characters on 2 different servers including some on one server that can use chrome time to get a different phase. Let me know here if you’re interested in teaming up!
what if on every spawn point there seem to be 24h+ on the npcs?
It means that it spawned already and was most likely killed and the phase was not reset but this is not a bad sign it just means that he can spawn again. Phases with a low spawn time like mobs are just there for a few minutes means you must wait long. 24h means it could have been killed 5 hours ago or longer so it can spawn soon again.

Dude, for some reason it didn´t aggro me so I threw off the mount and kill it middle air.. it landed in a place where I cannot loot it
There is a trick but maybe I am too late. I heard you can loot from a 2 seater mount and auto loot (maybe) with this toy that makes you fall very slow.

I dont get one thing bruh. When I click on random npc near spawn time... One is here for 13 hours, second one is for 30 min. What does it mean.
That means another player killed this 1 mob that has been respawned 30 min ago while this whole phase started 13 hours ago. Neutral NPCs often get spared so if you try to find the timer look for friendly or neutral npcs just in case unless hostile ones have a longer time already.
Can everyone loot it at the same time?
Only under 2 conditions (WoW retail). 1. you need to be near the Proto-Drake before it dies. 2. It must be killed by your group mate so you must be in group with the person that kills it.

Then you must wait until you see Vyragosa to get a new time or you are lucky and the Time Lost Proto Drake spawns.

Yes, this is how we got it. It spawned on me and I called my mates to me before killing it.

Yout won't have one for some days I guess. It's better though with an 2nd screen or by watching TV while camping. It's a nice mount though, I felt super happy when I got it.

5:28 This is just straight up false. I've learned alot after farming this for 4 days straight, after 30 Vyragosa kills the TLPD finally spawned.
Me and another party member instantly tagged it because there were 2 other people there. The other 3 members in our party was at the other spawn locations. When they arrived, they tagged and all got the mount aswell as all the other people that tagged it too. I think like 10 people got the mount, in 2 different parties. There is so much wrong info about this spawn which made my camp so much longer. Now, these are my tips:
1. Always go in Chromie time. No "one-shot" mistakes, and it gives more time for party members to come.
2. Always camp this in a group if you don't want to passively spend 2 months to get it by scouting every now and then.
3. Use a weak aura that announces at which person it spawns at, because silverdragon does not say where.
Where can I find a weak aura, that tells the location if the spawn?

What do you mean? Look at the date I made the video and you can see it from the models, skills as well as my race (Dark Iron Dwarf) immediately. I did not say it in the title because WOTLK was not even announced then.

It was so far the hardest mount that I farmed for. The Voidtalon comes close though.
