its remarkable the backsteps that cod has gone in. they used to have about a year to make new maps and a new game and they were 5x better than the ones today. pick 10, iconic maps, good 3rd modes like co op survival from mw series and of course zombies.
2 years of dev* and 3 years with the addition of SHG to the cycle. The whole era of half baked CoD was because of SHG messing up and Treyarch being forced to get Cold War out 1 year early
@@andreberclet3733 True. The gameplay of call of duty is just unrecognizable imo. Every year it gets quicker without much regard to enjoyability. The last call of duty I played before this beta was cold war and I stopped playing because of tac sprinting and gunsmith. I just want to run around with a red dot and maybe a dual mag.
It’s ran out of steam after Infinite warfare, the “FUTUREEEE” was their last original idea and if they had scruples they would have just ended it, but since they are making so much money they keep making these boring pointless games that have no reason to exist beyond filling in their yearly release schedules
it’s because making any type of software has gotten so much more complicated. a good way the average person can understand it is like how your laptop has gotten literal thousands of times faster from 10 years ago but still takes a long time to open applications.
It's quite interesting to see this now, it really shows how many different directions the UI and vibe the game really gave off could have went. The UIs were all very interesting, and had all sorts of small changes which affected it in such big ways. Such a legendary game, the UI in the official release carried such a vibe, and a lot of the UI in the alpha builds is just awesome!
omg the campaign railgun was in the alpha build! This was an interesting video, thanks for sharing. I have a lot more respect for the full game, knowing the had the same ideas i had. At least they tried to have as much fun as possible, but probably could not allow everything due to balance.
funny that their best maps were the ones that weren't finished early, either they put more time in to those ones, or those ones were quickly made with little thought behind them. I would say the latter, because you can end up overthinking a map and it just becomes complete bullshit
To anybody who sees this the multi-player theme in the 2011 pre-alpha is use in the LA mission in the campaign (final version) Also the captions in the 2011 build looks like there from the wii version of bo1
Hey, I was kinda wondering what would happen if you played those campaign missions and zombie maps at that bo1 placeholder LUI part. Have you tested that yet?
How did you get it to boot on a modded xbox 360? Every cod 4 build I have launches fine, but the bo2 builds just launch with an error and boot back to the xbox dashboard.
In order to get these builds running on a modded console you need RGLoader. Some of the builds (July 2012 in this case) require a dev kernel to boot to my knowledge. Remember though: The imitation is never as good as the real thing. If you want to play these builds & more natively it's probably best to get an XDK.
Probably there is nothing that can be found that isn’t shown in the menus and gameplay. Mostly Black Ops leftovers, lesser and lesser as development continued
@@agustinvivar629doesn’t work on an RGH either, trust me I’ve tried many, many dev builds. You need a dev kit in most instances to run a prototype like this because a devkit has, as the name suggests, different tools devs need to make games that an RGH wouldn’t have
It's probably in a other bulid we don't have access yet or an expansion of the greenlight alpha because I remember hearing about a video showing the greenlight ui on a early version of raid
Well if you put it that way, yeah! All the BO2 builds you see on the internet were from a mishandled hard drive. This video was originally uploaded in 2020 where Activision was still striking down videos about these old builds, so we didn't know what could or couldn't fly. Thanks for watching :)
Insane how alpha version of BO2 looks more finished than most of the released games nowadays.
That's because most developers back then were determined to put effort into games. The same goes for older movies.
back when they cared

Crazy that Aftermath and Yemen technically existed before MW3 even came out.
Standoff never had a sign!!!
It does now. Proof...
aftermath was mostly complete. i really loved how they changed the maps so much over the time into a real masterpiece

bruuuuuhh ty maps look incredible. wish i could've played once on all pre-alpha maps for sure. ty for this sir. you need more subs and views
The build has been public for quite some time, so feel free to take a look around and check it out for yourself! :)

true
mathematically true, (taa)
pre-alpha more developed than modern cods
damn I really miss this time....
I hate this nostalgic feeling
1:23:25 the FSS Hurricane 😮
Good spot, looks pretty much like a ps3/Xbox 360 era fss hurricane that’s cool
The Future is present.
The suppressor sounded so good wth
Yoo Plaza’s layout looks completely different

purgatory sounds fun
great vid
I wish someone could leak a map editor for mw2, mw remastered and bo2
have you got footage of all the unreleased weapons?
Cod bo2 alpha tranzit >>>> cod bo2 multiplayerzzzzz
Hijacked pre alpha was too close to the island than the final released

Thanks for the info i always wondered why it sounds familiar

They don't work.
Standoff without a sign? 🤔

Your homie KingSmurf on the check in you heard
Do you have a download link for this?
Is this gameplay from Treyarch
No, this is original gameplay from leaked builds of the game.
No one has tried to datamine this??

Bo6 beta fun u js bad at the game
@@kgoon4689 Are you on the right video?

I would've liked to see Alpha Plaza.

no, the discord was unfortunately taken down due to dramas and internal discourse :(

Why does some of the music sound like Avengers or Paper Mario music?
Creative decision lmao
