An early prototype of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare for the Xbox 360, dated May 3, 2013. This build pre-dates the final version of the game by about a year and a half. Back at the time, I was a writers for a gaming news website and I remember chatting with one of the devs on Twitter to confirm a few details and he was telling me how the engine was so bloated, there was still code from COD3 in 2006, where they had just written ADDITIONAL code to disable that code. They were having tons of issues during early development because of the engine, so they literally just gutted the code and started over, and then had to bring in a bunch of additional developers to help keep things on schedule since they only had like 3 months to basically rebuild everything where as most games have to spend a year or more when rebuilding their engine. So Advanced Warfare was kind of a miracle that it turned out as good as it did.
@@IAmNeomic That’s astounding, really remarkable work from the team. That's because MW3 wasn't supposed to be MW3. It was supposed to be "Modern Warfare II - Part 2". But sales were down compared to MW2019 and so in order to appease their shareholders, they reworked all the marketing for the game at the last second to make it Modern Warfare III.

When we see the final product whether good or bad, lately bad you can tell they had an idea but rushed out a bad one cause of Activision. I think of bo4 and vanguard of two different reasons. In my opinion, this Call of Duty is the last one I liked the most overall. Single player was fun to play through (even on harder difficulties) and the story overall was pretty intense. Coop mode was a blast to play (Zombies was kinda meh in AW to me, but I only ever had the first DLC so I didn't have much experience on it). Multiplayer was also a lot of fun, and what I liked the most was the highly customizable scorestreak system and weapon drops. I know that pretty much everyone nowadays hates lootboxes with a fiery passion, but I really liked the way it was implemented in AW.
I always knew that the first mission in AW didn’t make any sense. That supposed “brotherly bound” always felt tacked on last minute whenever i played the campaign. Now i see why, cause it was never planned. Crazy how these things are coming out now.
I wonder if you were meant to lose your arm at all. Supposedly an early build of the game had you shoot Irons rather than cutting your arm off to drop him off the building. That whole first mission felt rushed and out of place.

I think this mission was originally created for the E3 demo, and in the release, familiar moments are transferred to other parts of the game. This often happens with many games.
exact same sequence and animations too just with burke/gideon instead of cormack
@@helluvaboss_999 it also could have been the opening of the game but they repurposed the mission for some reason
@@XICrOokZz No, it became known that this mission was specifically initially made to show the heads of Activision, so that they in turn would look at the idea and approve the development of the game. In any case, let's see what happens next. They have already promised to post more leaks and builds of Advanced Warfare and Ghosts
Oh, it was Burke being replaced by Gideon.
Not replaced, renamed.
prototyp gideon kinda cool
lol very familiar scene .. the emitate modern warfare 2 gulag mission
Interesting. Looks like Modern Warfare but a bit in the future with some little futuristic elements. Probably would be good for single player campaign. I mean, I like Modern Warfare OG campaign. It was amazing. So this one could probably be cool one too. But we will never know.
it looks modern warfare because it's a prototybe build based of mw3+ and it looks futuristic because that's the goal + this mission is in the game it's the same almost 1 to 1 the main change being that in the released version the moment where mitchell lose his arm isn't in this mission but the dialog/animation are 1 to 1(17:29 ) , the protagonist is the same the enemy faction is the same
also even though we don't see any exo skeleton i'm pretty sure at 99.99% that they were planned anyways :
8:08 we can hear the exo suit sound when he take down the guy and that match what we see
13:07 also here we can hear an exo suit sound when he bash the door
Where have we seen the M160 reload animation before.. i cant remember but i swear it was reused for another gun in another cod game
Looks way more fun than black ops 6.
this goes hard
BASED
Need more!
Would have been nice to have the M160 in the final game. They could have taken the UB Shotgun off for MP.
The underbarrel shotgun was added for the mission
Looks like a reskin Bo2 with the futuristic aspects but not enough to have jet pack. But the amount of tech seems similar tO Bo2
It's mw3
so they decided to split this to 2 levels on the final product
No
Aw man, you missed using the MT
is there any pre build of mw2019? i wanna see the infinite warfare aspects
maybe too soon for this i guess
Is it me or is Burke voiced by Hesh's voice actor form Ghosts?
Maybe
Wow whaaaat!? Does this game have a fully player build like NX1!?
Alternative timeline: after COD Ghosts in 2013, Neversoft developt their first take on the franchise to relase on 2014 and Actvision gives Sledgehammer one more year to polish and finish AW and Neversoft would release FW (Future Warfare instead), then we would got AW in 2015 and BO3 in 2016, IW would release Infinite Warfare in 2017 and Neversoft strikes again in 2018 has Sledgehammer would launch WW2 on 2019 and Treyarch would release BO4 on 2020 and IW would Release the MW Reboot in 2021.
Love how all these people got laid off and suddenly upload these OG builds and prototypes to show how awful corporate greed really is.
would it be possible for someone to publish the executable + symbols (pdb) and map files?
We need that fr
the gun used ingame does not seem to be in the final game does it?
It’s in the files but without the fancy zoom optic and all the animations were removed. It cut content sadly it’s surprisingly more complete in this build than the cut version in the final game
Yes
I'm blind. It's in the description
Where can this be found now that its not on the archive? Thanks.
bruh they shouldve kept it like this
They needed something fresh for this game.
I have all the files, how do I start this on Xenia?
How are we getting these? Through leaks?
Yes
Somehow, the beanie stays....
