It's about time Grasshopper got some social media time!
I’m trying to get them a lot more brother.
Just now realizing that it's the deck that truly stands out from the rest. The engine and power behind it depends on what you are cutting and the blade style you prefer. I've been truly excited since Grasshopper came out with a stand-on mower but I need something that will fit through an average fence gate. Currently working with a 325D and it has been an absolute unit for five solid years! I've cut up to 6' tall brush and it just keeps on keepin-on.
Great point!
Excited to see how this holds up for you. Looks like a beast of a mower
So far so good
Two of my absolute FAVORITES right here I'll tell you whaaat!!!
@@moneymakingmikeg.9555 but I’m your favorite favorite right?😂😂 sorry Jon lol
@@PlemonsLawnCare 🤣🤣🤣
I currently run a Z3. Local Grasshopper shop gave me a stander to demo for 2 days. I really liked it. The Ferris is still king of the hills, but the Grasshopper was much more light and nimble. Loved the short frame. Cut quality was excellent wven in wet grass. Striped very well but the Ferris is a touch better at striping on nice fescue. Overall i liked it and pricing is very good on them so we are now discussing a deal for one.
Heck yea Rob I can’t agree more on your points
Yoooooooo Ritchie, I'm so glad you came to your senses & put your Tonka Truck away!!! I missed your lawn video so much!!! The Grasshopper mower is so cool looking IMO. Hoping all is well Bud, Dirty Jersey out!!! #broinlawns!!!
Oh & I hope my comment made you laugh. I know you ain't NO snowflake Bro.!!
Dude I always look forward to your comments. Always puts a smile on my face.
My large Tonka truck was the best toy I ever had. It mage my childhood better !
thanks for you time. my two cents for the most part commercial mowers these days comes down to price and dealer support and preference.
Totally agree. Most all commercial machines will get the job done.
Great video brother.👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thank you
That's all we had in 1984 Grasshopper Dixie Chopper and Walker 😮
Keep up the good work brother.👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thanks brother
I've been wanting to get my hands on a grasshopper stander for a long time now. I'm jealous 🤘
I can get with my rep and see about you getting a demo in your area
@Plemons Lawn Care that would be awesome. Right now I'm possibly moving so give me a few days to figure out if we are but man I'd appreciate any help I can get
Nice! These grasshopper stand ons extremely hard to get! However i did find one in valley outdoor equipment in grain valley Missouri hope you are enjoying your stand on grasshopper btw they are made in moundrige Kansas about 3 hours from me 😊
Glad you found you one. They are some machines
Good video ,nice mower as well.Grasshoppers are everywhere here in Eastern North Carolina,I do wish they offered it in 29 hp for that 61" .The 329 zero is an excellent machine. I understand the weeds that pretty much all that's here too.
I would like to see a bigger option as well
Yeah, for the weekly subdivision yards ,it's probably perfect ,but I mow some fast growing country yards and a little extra would be nice. Definitely has my attention and thanks for the videos.
I have 3 329 big block grasshoppers and they are great. 2600 hours on my original one and I’ll use it until it dies. Built like tanks.
Everyone I’ve spoken too that owns one swears by them
I’m hoping they will add the bagging system to the stand on and then I’ll buy one. We bag a lot of grass in northwest Ohio and their bagging systems are phenomenal.
I can say I love ferris. However the past two years of trying to get parts is starting to be a pain. I've been looking at other brands myself because if need something I can get. I tested a spartan, the platform feels better than ferris. Glad to see your back.
may not be better anywhere else.
Some of those weeds look like thistle weeds that Bermuda grass will pop up when the weather gets hot I knew a guy who had a grass Hopper sit down z.t.r with a Kubota diesel engine hopefully you like this mower
They are. Can’t wait for warm I hate being cold lol
@@PlemonsLawnCare I agree with you on this matter young man 👍😎
Hey Richie, I currently run a Wright stander and have no problems with it other than the closest dealer is 2hr away (purchased at Master Mowers) so been looking at other options and really liking the Grasshopper. The only problem is that they are hard to come by. The dealer near me only has one, so he is not letting it go out as a demo. I know Grasshopper has a good cut quality. My big question is, how does it handle hills.
Grasshopper is a great mower if you choose to go that route
What kind of tires were those on there? Did they tear up the turf at all?
Barely see Grass Hopper but that thing looking mean and cut great. Mow on brother👍
Thanks big j
If grasshopper comes out with a good bagger system for the stander I will probably make the switch.
Let’s see if we can talk them into it
Im trying out a Wright Stander ZK .. im fairly impressed cutting wise, but ride wise nothing compares to Ferris. Its weird going from a pivoting front to a straight front.
Yes the ride of a Ferris is tough to beat
I have the 52" and love it!!! I'm glad to see the factory chute blocker on yours as that's the one I'm considering for mine! Thoughts on it??
This one is for a zt. I would wait on one for the stander
@@PlemonsLawnCare It's my understanding they aren't making one just for the stander. I'll have to check w/ my dealer
@@charlesyielding9786 they will have one coming
how is the blades deck and baffles compared to ferris? can you do a video on underside deck and blades possibly
I can get one together sure brother
That's a fierce looking machine man! Looks like a good cutting mower. How does it feel to you power wise with the 26hp Vanguard? Do you think it should have a little more HP? I have never ran a Grasshopper mower, maybe you could get them to send one up here to SC few a week or two...lol. Enjoy buddy!!!
So far it feels plenty strong. Of course our properties are all weekly and a bit of a drought currently
Haha .. that grasshopper definitely looks mad, almost has a face, with the LED lights as the eyes. It looks like a nice mower
How are you liking the grasshopper compared to the z3? What's the cut quality compared to in wet grass?
I’ll have a video out this week on that
Just bought a new z3
Since you're using a ferris. Do they have grease inserts on their spindles?
Ferris or the grasshopper
Ferris.
@@mihatsu2336 they have bolts in the grease ports you remove then add zerks when greasing
Great video ever tried a scag
I have not brother. I’ve tried but can’t ever get anyone to let me demo one
What kind of sunglasses you got on?
Costs fantails. I’ve had these awhile paint is starting to peel off
I’ve been running Grasshopper for 17 years. They make a great product but their Grassflap is a complete joke! I bought it when it first came out, it’s just terrible engineering and design. I made adjustments, repairs from bending it, removed the plastic flap, and still hated it. I threw it in the trash! I should be getting the stand on soon and plan on finding another grass flap option.
I have always had good luck with grass flap and quick chute.
My only complaint is the “Grasshopper” chute blocker. I have a Grass Flap on my 226 and have one orders for my new 328.
@@PlemonsLawnCare was about to ask about the windrowing it was doing. Glad someone mentioned the grass flap. Does yours always do that? I really haven't seen windrowing from flaps before.
Ferris is hands down top dog, of course everyone else is gonna be mad
Ferris has been my top choice for many years
Why stand up , is normal zero turn not a lot more comfortable ?
You would be surprised. Standing is actually better for your back.
👍🏽
thanks brother
💯🔥💪👍
Thank j
The guys mower blades must fell off with him realizing it
🤔
Love how these companies have areas next to supermarket and complain about the trash I did this type of work for about 20 years grass cutting, snow plowing, trash pickup people are just slobs
Lol I can’t agree more. They are slobs for sure.
@@PlemonsLawnCare your not lying there n the employee are guilty also that was part of job also was keeping a strip mall clean n mowed n plowed in the winter
@@jaymeyers950 I actually had an employee of a restaurant watch us pick up all the trash while they took a smoke break. Once they finished they literally tossed the butt on the ground at my feet. Talk about red faced and they knew it after I asked them what they were thinking. Fortunately they apologized picked it up and from then on they were instrumental in helping keep there lot clean by having workers walk the lot 2-3 times a day.
