I just looked at that very same mower! You're right. That's, without a doubt, the best mower I've ever seen. I will thoroughly enjoy every minute of watching you and Tiffany mow your acreage! Enjoy!
I so enjoy watching when Tiffany joins you in making content. I know she works outside the home but she definitely adds to the your videos when she can participate. ❤
That mower is awesome. An old friend of mine, RIP, had a 72” Ferris diesel, he put an array of spotlights on the roll bar so he could mow late into the evening. He could cut 20+ acres of 2 week old Bahia grass in under 4 hours
That's awesome and a crazy amount of mowing! When I worked shift work I use to come to our property and mow anywhere from midnight to 4 AM depending on if I worked over.
2023 was my eleventh season mowing with my Grasshopper front mount deck mower model 727K. Best mower I’ve owned. Never have had a problem with it so far. Just regular maintenance. Grasshopper makes great mowers.
i am so glad you are enjoying your new grasshopper mower they are one of the best out there, i have been employed in the fabrecation department at grasshopper mower company for the past 27 years and they keep makeing better improvments every year that keeps this mower at the top of the line, A little known fact that most people dont know is the Grasshopper mower is one of the offical mowers that mows the White House Lawn in Washington DC and Grasshopper mower is from a little ol town in Moundridge Kansas, enjoy
I would have loved to have one of those to mow the pasture at my old place! Andrew, you know it's only fair that Tiffany gets to use the mower more than you, since you have practically laid claim to HER tractor LMAO. Now that you have the electric one to play on, maybe we'll get to see HER run hers' sometimes🤣 You are really crankin out the content Andrew - I am thoroughly enjoying it!💜💜💜
Another great video my dude! I agree I want land... a mower and grass to cut to take care of! Forget fancy cars and vacations! I'm subscribing to your channel! Keep up the great work my dude!❤❤
Definitely my favorite mower when I worked at the cemetery! We had a 430D mid mount as well....62" I think. The front mount rode so smooth compared to the mid mount, plus the added trimming ability of the deck under trees etc. We also had a Buffalo turbine blower for it and an aeravator. Loved that mower!
Own 900d 72” with tweels and canopy. Do my own maintenance on mower including: lube, oil change, blade sharpening and deck cleaning. After cleaning use WD 40 every 6-8 hours of mowing. Previous mower was Hustler SuperZ hyperdrive 72”. Great mower but not as easy to service. 900d is not only the best mower I have ever owned but at 73 yo my last mower! Way expensive up front but hopefully the sunk cost downstream will provide value. BTW, great video!
Agree with you that it's the last mower most will own. A lot of people don't see the value you do, higher initial up front cost. But the cost gets you an extremely well built machine that should outlast many others. Diesel, premium hydraulics and thick well constructed metal everywhere screams longevity.
I have the gas version of this mower. Make sure you run the blades after you wash under the deck to wring any water that could be sitting in those plastic spindle cones. If enough water is in there, it will reduce the life of the spindle bearings.
I wish I would have looked at Grasshopper when I bought my Bad Boy a couple weeks ago. I used a friend's Grasshopper a few times before and the front mounted deck is so much easier to get in tight around trees and stuff than the mid mount is. I didn't think there would be much of a difference, but there's something different about the weight on a rear caster versus front casters that change how the machine works. I won't lie though I'm happy with what I bought and maybe after a couple more times I'll figure out a trick or two to make up for the differences.
Did Tiffany say briskly cornering? Lol, tell Mrs Mario Andretti she can cut my grass anytime! Really enjoyed watching yalls excitement using the new mower! I look forward to seeing more!
You talking about the deck cleaning ease I seem to remember my family owning a Toro way back when i was young that had a hose attachment on it and you just ran it with the water on and it would clean its self. But heck your's looks pretty daggone easy too
I would like to see you make some brackets so that you can mount a string trimmer and maybe a hedge trimmer onto the roll bar for when you're mowing far away from your garage.
Very nice mower! Go buy you some of the gallon jugs of WD-40 and a plastic spray bottle and after washing off the deck give it a good spritz with the WD-40. My grandfather did that to his mower religiously after each use and 20 years later it looked practically brand new.
I have a mid deck ZTR that I love, but that front mounted deck would be great for getting under pines and hedges. If you get into dusty areas does it toss a lot of it back at you?
Not that I've noticed, the key there is leaving the chute on. Tiffany was mowing under a lot of pine limbs yesterday that we have never mowed before. It really helps!
You need to run the deck after you wash it so the bearings want rust and the pulleys to it don’t take about two or three minutes a lot of people don’t run it after and they will rust I know we replace a lot off them at Hoyts in Thomasville
I've seen where people ceramic coat the mower deck and the grass doesn't stick. I'm planning to do it after I have mine sandblasted and repainted it. I have an old Wood's 3pt side discharge in good condition for its age.
@TKCL I first saw it on GCI Tirf. I believe he is in Florida or somewhere in the south. I was amazed how it kept the grass from sticking compared to not using it.
Of all of the mowers I've been on or have even heard of, Grasshopper is the ONLY mower that you don't have to have the parking brake on to start the engine. They have it down to an artform in Moundridge, Ks. The 1st ever zero turns introduced in 1969, Moridge Manufacturing definitely hit a home run with the Grasshopper brand.
As far as a test goes I'm thinking of getting a diesel mower for mulching my yard since it looks so much better. Would it be possible for you to try mulching with this thing? I'm very curious as to what the results would be. Thank you.
@@TKCL that's fine, I don't plan on running over any sticks, just keeping the grass from blowing everywhere. I'm just curious how a diesel will handle some thicker grass when mulching.
I've not tested that yet since I have a tractor. If you want to mow thick brush, they offer a flail mower that replaces the deck on this model. That's going to be a better choice for the thick material.
I buddy had the same mower. It broke 2 transmissions and frames in 180 hours. The diesel vibration and torque is to much he saying. Hello from Siesta Key Florida
Something must have been off with that one or things have changed. My Frame is huge and very thick. If he is curious he could contact Grasshoppers customer service and see if hangers have been made over the years.
Poor Andrew, she's gonna take your new toy away from you:((( But it seems to me that Tiff has more of NASCAR temperament than lawn mower, Still, she can ride a mower like a racing car over the property! Have fun, Tiff:))))
For amazing mowers, check out Grasshopper www.grasshoppermower.com/
I just looked at that very same mower! You're right. That's, without a doubt, the best mower I've ever seen. I will thoroughly enjoy every minute of watching you and Tiffany mow your acreage! Enjoy!
Nothing like a quality machine purpose built to perform. Thanks for watching!
I so enjoy watching when Tiffany joins you in making content. I know she works outside the home but she definitely adds to the your videos when she can participate. ❤
Yes! Thank you! We love having her home a little more, she is eager to help keep our place beautiful.
Tiffany mastered the new mower really quickly. Outstanding.
Yes she has, now it's winter and mowing is almost over 😕
now you can be a grasshopper working along. a nice trim yard.be bless
Get that girl a canopy! Deb loved the Ventrac...I'm sure she'd love the Grasshopper too!
I'm considering one, problem is all the trees and limbs. 🤔
@@TKCL You need to feed Josh so he stays longer and trims your trees!
🤣

I have a Z930m and I bought a set of the cheap harbor freight rock lights and I only mow at night now
2023 was my eleventh season mowing with my Grasshopper front mount deck mower model 727K. Best mower I’ve owned. Never have had a problem with it so far. Just regular maintenance. Grasshopper makes great mowers.
That's what I've been hearing for decades, I've always wanted one. Your model seems to be very popular.

Awesome! You build great mowers, ive always heard praise for how well built they are. I love the front deck and how smooth it rides.
Just get another one and you can have “dueling” mowers!🤷🏼♂️
problems solved!
Looks like a great mower glad you guys love it!
Lol I guess that's an option, she's literally using it more than me and I'm jealous.
I loved to mow too, back when I had my horse farms.
Mowers sure have come a long way since then.
Yes they have! Nothing like the 30 inch snapper rear engine riders of the past 🤣

That sure looks like one fantastic lawn mower. Good job Tiffany!! You look like a pro operating that mower. 👍👍👍❤️❤️🇨🇦
Such a wonderful piece of equipment for our property.
Hi, Andrew and Tiffany! I love this mower!
We both love it, makes taking care of our property enjoyable.

We all have different priorities in life, but this seems like the right path for us and is so fulfilling.
It's a good thing Tiffany put that seatbelt on 🤣🤣 Go speed racer!

Good day to all. Getting it done to move on to the next one.
Good afternoon sir!

After running it I can promise you'll want to 😉

I need one of those in my life!
I didn't know what I was missing!
I would love more videos on this machine
I have several more videos planned soon. Plus there are quite a few more on the channel, let me know if you can't find them.
Morning guys
Good morning!
Awesome video. 🤠
Thank you for watching
Sure is a nice mower. Really like the diesel engine and front mounted deck.
Those two things are game changers for us.
Looks like Tiffany has a new toy, 😎
It appears so
Nice mower, I was looking at those. Thinking about a kubota F2690. I spend more time on mower than in my vehicle during the summer.
I honestly do as well, many hours a week more than my truck.
I have the gas version of this mower. Make sure you run the blades after you wash under the deck to wring any water that could be sitting in those plastic spindle cones. If enough water is in there, it will reduce the life of the spindle bearings.
Good point

Did Tiffany say briskly cornering? Lol, tell Mrs Mario Andretti she can cut my grass anytime! Really enjoyed watching yalls excitement using the new mower! I look forward to seeing more!
Lol that was her tactful way of saying I speed 🤣
@TKCL LOL! There's only two speeds, Andrew, stop and goooooooo! Lol! I hope you get to use the new mower some!
It looks like you are going to have to take turns mowing now! She had no problems getting the hang of using the new mower!
Your correct, she loves it.
AND HAPPY HALLOWEEN🎃🎃🎃
I did not even realize that it was today until Adam reminded me.
You talking about the deck cleaning ease I seem to remember my family owning a Toro way back when i was young that had a hose attachment on it and you just ran it with the water on and it would clean its self. But heck your's looks pretty daggone easy too
That works too. The raising deck is also awesome for blade changes.
I would like to see you make some brackets so that you can mount a string trimmer and maybe a hedge trimmer onto the roll bar for when you're mowing far away from your garage.
I wouldn't be surprised if they already offer that. But I could for sure make something.
Looks like you just lost your mower! GO Tiffany GO!
I sure did! 😩
Hey we just got starlink in cottondale fl and we are getting 300mbps down and 17mbps up. It is now available in all of Florida
I heard, I've been running cellular for a while now and I'm happy with it until fiber makes it to my area.
That’s cool I remember you wanted to check it out.that would be nice if that would head my way

Nice tip!
If you’re trying g to chew into some tall brush can you run the mower with the deck slightly lifted?
Yes but you really shouldn't use grass blades for brush. There is a flail offered for this mower for brush.
I have a mid deck ZTR that I love, but that front mounted deck would be great for getting under pines and hedges. If you get into dusty areas does it toss a lot of it back at you?

That's exactly what I do, let it sit at an idle with blades engaged to blow dry it.
I've seen where people ceramic coat the mower deck and the grass doesn't stick. I'm planning to do it after I have mine sandblasted and repainted it. I have an old Wood's 3pt side discharge in good condition for its age.
Interesting! This one is powder coated underneath, but sand seems to destroy anything. I wonder if the ceramic coat can hold up to sand?
@TKCL I first saw it on GCI Tirf. I believe he is in Florida or somewhere in the south. I was amazed how it kept the grass from sticking compared to not using it.
I owned one for about 3 years and had nothing but problems. Ended up practically giving it away
Interesting, here they are considered the best available. Did you have diesel or gas?
@@TKCL gas
Steers just like a shopping cart.
LOL never heard it described like that. But yeah I guess it does.

I'd love to test that for you, but I don't have many trees with leaves around the yard. No doubt it should work just fine.
@@TKCL that's fine, I don't plan on running over any sticks, just keeping the grass from blowing everywhere. I'm just curious how a diesel will handle some thicker grass when mulching.
Hey Andrew. Just wondering how it does on ditch bank. Some mowers make you feel unsafe. Maybe like there a little tip heavy.
Not at all here, we have a steep ditch by the highway and this feels very stable. You've got 6 wheels on the ground and a wide stance.
Nice mower...now fix those bull holes. 🙂
I have to agree with others in the comments in that you lost your mower to Tiffany. At least you have the two tractors as a consolation prize.😃
Lol I guess I'll make do.
With no brush how tall can you mow grass without it bogging down.
I've not tested that yet since I have a tractor. If you want to mow thick brush, they offer a flail mower that replaces the deck on this model. That's going to be a better choice for the thick material.
👀
That is not nice a lot more love it nice to have
Yep, you lost a mower😂. Please look into a lightweight sunshade top for it.
I am seriously considering one, I use to have one on my last John deere. I need it to be removable for the tree limbs.
looks like your going to buy his and hers mowers
It's looking that way!
How many acres do you mow?
We have a total of 14 acres we mow, the pasture is usually mowed via tractor. This zero turn will be taking over more of the mowing.
I buddy had the same mower.
It broke 2 transmissions and frames in 180 hours.
The diesel vibration and torque is to much he saying.
