Great looking machine, personally i would have done that first pass in the other direction so the cuttings were being blown onto the ground to be cut rather than onto the road
Well, yeah since many North American municipalities have bylaws against it. You can't shoot anything onto the roadway, be it snow or grass. I can't say if it's the same for the UK/Europe/Asia/Australia/NZ.
Hi James, great review on this stand up mower, looks a good cutting machine, good cuts on that rugby pitch you can score some tries with that. Great video take care
I have always liked the build quality of Grasshopper machines and when I had the opportunity to buy a used Grasshopper zero turn, I wish I had $1500 to get it. That said, I can think of a few problems with a stand on that aren't covered in this video and that's the problem of mowing residential properties with low trees. It doesn't work too well for me. If I am standing to mow, I would rather walk behind the machine or have the option of a standing sulky behind a larger walk behind. The other issue with having a stand on mower is, yes, those advantages come in handy during mowing season, but what can it do in the Winter for snow maintenance? Grasshopper makes some of its standard zero turns capable of taking winter attachments like snow blowers, power brooms and blades, but I don't think you get that kind of option with a stand on. This is one of the reasons I own a Walker as well is because of that versatility. I also despise Briggs and Stratton engines. I have been burned one too many times with Briggs engines, both home owner and I/C/Vanguard. If Grasshopper offers Kohler Command Pro or Kawasaki, I would opt for that instead.
That thing is a beast. Just put a deposit down on GRIN XM90A with the stand on plate. Personally I don't like side discharge for the finish but I was on a budget too😊
Be good to see the Husqvarna R112 & R214 on next. I’m looking at both of these for my next mower. Getting on for half an acre of grass with a Hayterette has worn thin.
Stand-on riders are awesome machines, cause you can get on and off quick. You should try out a walk behind mower with a sulky to ride on also. Like a Ferris or Snapper.
That's how I would go, as my legs would probably get more fatigued standing still than walking. At least if I want to use the sulky, I have that option. I would love to have a fully loaded Ferris FW15 with the Honda GXV390. That looks like a beast of a mower.
@@WJCTechyman I can tell you Ferris Mowers are awesome machines I love it. And those Walk-behind mowers with a sulky to ride on are very nice to operate if you take your time to get used to it, you never want any others

They seem to look better than any brand a year or two down the road. The other colors looks worn and don't seem to handle getting dirty. Grasshoppers seem to look brand new even years later.

JT doing an amazing job promoting this incredible brand in the UK top machine and top bloke!
He really is, great guy and doing a superb job 👍🏼

We did have a clip of me trying to kick the power aid bottle over the posts but I missed 😂😂
Great review, top job with the hand tools, they are ideal for hopping on and off and doing other work at the same time 👍

Both are only domestic machines, but I would 100% avoid the R112, it has poor balance and is only suitable to a dead flat small lawn with easy access.
@@MachineryNation thanks for the reply. That’s interesting feedback. Access is no issue, but I do have some sloped areas.
