I'm beyond excited to see your review video. I am literally days away from making a decision on which brand to purchase. Your videos are so informative and I know that they take time to film, edit and publish. Thanks for all the help you are providing.
Scag v ride2 and Ferris!!! Great mowers. Loading and unloading not a small detail!!! A lot of accidents occur at that moment. Keep up the great content!
Grasshopper for the win! Most likely the only one running traditional pumps and wheel motors plus the tandom (T-drive) pumps are so smooth! The other 3 that stood out in smoothness were Hustler, Scag, and Spartan.
PETE Go get a flipping Bradley stand on, please. It's the cheapest commercial grade mower out there, but I promise you it's just as good as at least 1/2 the brands you loaded
I like all the mower with the operators platform hanging off the back. Don't like standings between the drive wheels. I still have a Great Dane Surfer, not a super surfer, a surfer.
It looks to me that some of the company engineers who have designed their stand-up mowers haven't gone into the field to actually see their design flaws.
Top 5: 1. Grasshopper (completely smooth and steady) 2. Hustler (so fast it almost took out the back window) 3.Cub Cadet/Ferris(didn't see it go forward though) 4. Spartan 5. Wright Drama Queen: Gravely Speed Demon: Hustler Turtle: Bad Boy(when the foot plate didn't get stuck)
Should've done the drag race video today on Kentucky derby day. Just thought it wouldve been fitting. Looking forward to the rest of the comparisons. Would like to see a scoring system of some sort but I know it's mostly personal preference
@@GCITurf From what I saw, the ones that raised up all had platforms that extended father back from the axle center than the others. I personally own a Ferris Z2 and I am so satisfied with the way everything is centered over the axles. It helps it shine on hills and hillsides due to the center of gravity and weight distributed directly over the axles. Even the fuel tank is just in front of the knee pad which also helps keep the center of gravity low and centered.. Great test Pete as always. God Bless you my friend.
@@GCITurf when you start going into the nitty gritty of these machines in your videos for each, this might be an opportunity to highlight if weight kits are available and what the added costs might be for the manufacturers offering the options.
The only standers I've ever tried out are the Ferris (about 3 years old) and the gravelly from last year. I thought as always, the Ferris cuts great, but in my opinion it's a little jumpy. In my view, for a machine to be flawless, it's jumpiness tells me whether or not it's a good fit for a new employee. The gravelly I tried out at the dealership and they wouldn't let me turn on the blades so I didn't get to see how it cut, BUT, the way its back wheels ease into turns was so smooth you'd have to really really try hard to tear up the turf. To me, that's a perfect mower for a new employee, and if it cuts as well as the others, then it would be my choice.
Not a fair comparison seeing some were loaded way too fast and should always go in reverse for a stand up. This will skew the capabilities of many of these mowers for the novice who are watching.
Pete, you ain’t gotta apologize for anything. You’re the hardest worker on TH-cam.
The Hustler didn’t even blink an eye at that incline. Steady and smooth
That hustler definitely had a wheel in the air going up forward 🤔🤔🤔🤔‼️

Love that grasshopper
Patiently awaiting the next installment of the series
Grasshopper .. I love grasshoppers so much
Great video I’m scag guy so I like the scag vride 2

Grasshopper looked impressive to me!
Great job Pete.
Great comparison. I'm hoping to get my hands on a ramp rack style setup this year hopefully

Grasshopper for the win
Yeah I agree, that thing is mean
crazy is I think the spartan handled that event the best and with ease. I have a pro stance so I knew a wheely was coming lol.
Grasshopper then a few tied for 2nd.
What happened to the Bobcat…?
Will you also be giving your own opinion after all the tests are done? Thanks
I like all the mower with the operators platform hanging off the back.
Don't like standings between the drive wheels.
I still have a Great Dane Surfer, not a super surfer, a surfer.
The one's with the little wheels on back are nice and easy
That Spartan is a beast
Ferris gonna take it all! Beast of a mower
You should sharpen all mower blades for each test with your sharpener so that 'factory edge' sharpness is not a variable.
Good video !!
The Cub it’s a moose cub
Great examples of why to never drive forward up a ramp with a stand on.
I would never want an employee to do this!

5. Wright

Turtle: Bad Boy(when the foot plate didn't get stuck)
Gravely drama queen???
@@jason6325did you not see it almost come off the trailer?
@@Bkob1471 no.i seen a slight mishap. I did not see it almost come off the tailor.
Hey buddy, thank you can load one of those bad boys in my truck? 😅😅 I promise I'll return it 20 years later.

Always back up the ramp with a stand on. Grandstand is the most capable stand on.
Multiforce is the most capable stand on.👍
Ferris
I would love to have all those mowers side by side on the same lawn to see which one is the absolute hands down best stand on.
Toros and Gravely were wicked-scary.
Hustler and Grasshopper.
I like the wright looks the easiest to load
Amazing how many either had difficulty getting up or tilted back.
Several of them are a little lite in the front end for sure
@@GCITurf i would imagine you will run into the same issue when mowing hills. Which can be very dangerous. Have fun!! This is awesome
I always back into a trailer regardless of stand on or rider much safer

I thought the Grasshopper and the Spartan did the best. Most stable.
look put the bad boy gun metal grey back on that trailer pete lol that sucker looked mean lol
Bobcat was missed!!
You forgot to load the Ferris mower frontward
That gravely almost got my boy Pete. Lol. Also what was the total value in mowers? First million dollars worth of mower video? Lol
Ferris z3x
Ferris was the one you missed doing both forwards and backwards. What's my prize?
That’s a very steep angle
As someone who wishes they made a stand on for residential use, im just gonna say whichever model is cheapest performed the best in this video lol
Ferris all the way
Scag or Hustler was the best.
Grasshopper was by far the best followed by spartan
No kubota?
Spartan and scag
Spartan
Casually flexing well over 100k worth of mowers is the real point of the video lol.
Going up the incline way too fast on some of them.
John Deere
Not a fair comparison seeing some were loaded way too fast and should always go in reverse for a stand up. This will skew the capabilities of many of these mowers for the novice who are watching.
I can't even count how many mowers you damaged.USE a tilt trailer.
Scag baby!
