I will be buying a mower in the coming weeks and I’m stuck between this Grasshopper stand on and a Ferris Z2. This comparison couldn’t have come at a better time. Can’t wait for the 52” review!
Ferris rules🤛been running them 6-7 yrs, and the Z3X’s I have are great! Replaced some belts, and that’s it in all that time👍had a PTO switch go bad at 525 hrs
@leonardomigot4040zero turn destroys your back. Constant on and off up and down is bad for your knees. I’ve had a knee replacement from the military and always feel better standing. Your body absorbs the bumps better standing instead of the jolt running through your spine sitting. It’s great for my business.
Great review. I'm in my 5th year using Wright stander, but really been looking at the 52" grasshopper a local dealer got in last week. Love my Wright standers, but closest dealer is 2hrs
@ramirocortez6392 my Wright has never been to the shop once. It's been great. I do all the regular maintenance myself (oil, hydro, filters, valve adjustments, and belts). I did have to replace the starter in the beginning of the season
@premierlandcape was curious about striping?? I currently have a Dixie chopper and love the stripes but it beats my lower back up !? I have watched some TH-cam videos where they claim do not stripe well? Thank for responding
Good review of the grasshopper man! Look forward to seeing the 52" one. Never ran the stand ons yet looking at picking one up next year but i do have the ferris isx 2200 61" and like the cut and ride quality
Always appreciate your informative videos. I sent you a text this morning (thinking about trading in my Walker t27i -it only has 150 hours in it and the blower fan needs replacing already).
Mower needs a Grass Flap brand chute block on it. I love mine. I like the 29hp Kohler Efi. The loaner V ride 2 61 40 hp Vanguard I have been running uses a lot more gas than my 29hp Kohler. I feel 29-30 hp is plenty for weekly mowing.
Nice mower and nice review. Def room for improving. The adjustable height operator controls are very nice. Agree the 61" deck is a bit much for that engine. 💪👍😎
I switched from Ferris Z3x to a Wright Zk .. and after running the Wright for a while the Ferris feels like junk. I will be trading my other Z3x in for another ZK when I'm able to.
@@PlemonsLawnCare I just bought a 52" VRide2 with the 24hp FT Kawasaki, enjoying it so far. I wish these mower companies would broaden all their engine options since they have access to them all. Would be great to be able to truly "Build Your Own" mower....
Great review as usual.well done. Richie do you still have the FW 15 ? Also, if you do how many hours on it and do or did you like it. I’m way down south in Savannah Take care

Glad I could help out. Hope to have the 52 videos soon

Ill be around a 1000 on this one soon
@@PlemonsLawnCare my 1st set was Z2’s, then went to Z3’s. On my 2nd set👍I guess I’ll upgrade next yr @ around 750 hrs
That grasshopper looks like an absolute beast of a mower. I've been wanting to get my hands on one for a long time now
They are built very well
I wish Ferris would move the fuel level indicator to the control panel.
Lol Jeff I couldn’t agree more
I’m looking at a new stand on so thanks for the comparison.
I’m glad I could help.

Yea David I think the 52 is gonna be great
Any issues with your Wright stander I have a local dealer but not much info on them??
I am between a ferris and wright?? Both local

We gotta get you on a stand on bro
@@PlemonsLawnCare yea i want to get on one and try them out see the difference
Scag 61 V-Ride holds slopes well.

I like the 33 vanguard oil guard too. It sips fuel and has plenty of power
Good review! Looks like a nice mower but, has lots of room for improvement. That 52" should be much better with that engine
😉👍
I agree J of course there really isn’t the perfect mower
Nice mower and nice review. Def room for improving. The adjustable height operator controls are very nice. Agree the 61" deck is a bit much for that engine. 💪👍😎
Thanks Josh. Yea the taller control tower is super comfy

Wright makes a great mower
@@PlemonsLawnCare yes sir great stand on mowers and a great cut... now sit down mower wise I'll never leave Ferris.

Yea I haven’t seen a Stihl mower since the expo
@@PlemonsLawnCare one of these days you are going to see one of those in action
Great video we run all scag you should try a scag vride 2
I’ll have to try one

Do you know what the "upgrades" are? Man I sure wish it had a foot pedal assist to lift the deck over roots and crap!!!
Not yet I dont

Take care
I didn’t use the fw15 much. It was always to big for the areas that we pushed and too small for the larger areas.
What is the price difference ??
Whats the speed comparison?
Ferris is faster
I relly like my Z3X but i absolutely hate the 72" deck and cut quality
Fun fact grasshopper mowers are seen the least by mechanics In shops
That is great to hear too. Thank you
