I ordered them from music city acoustics. They built all of the panels I have! I'll put their website in the description. You can have them delivered to you or designed for your studio.
Feel this, just like the console that Andrew preached about and then sold one year later. But I guess everyone’s progressing and learning about what they like and what they don’t like.
@@AudioWonderland He talks about his changes of heart honestly, it seems. Any studio geek understands that going through gear is just part of it. I doubt you your setup never changed.
Hi Andrew, I don’t know if I missed it along the way but would love to hear what went wrong with the new studio that you moved out of so quickly. I think there is a story there perhaps worth sharing. Cheers
They are great monitors... But if you want to hear a set of monitors that puts them in their place and makes them sound like a lower budget monitor in comparison, then take a listen at the Ex Machina - Quasar mk2 ... Worked on barefoot 27's and Ex Machina Quasar, and honestly it was day and night..
@@jimc2384 I’ve heard conflicting opinions on monitors sizes relative to room sizes. If you have larger monitors just turn down the volume is what I’ve heard. But ultimately for a normal size 10x8-10x12 room the 02’s are awesome.
Congrats on the upgrade. You never addressed why you switched out the FOCAL TRIO's so quickly for the Footprint 01's. You seemed to love them too, but the then FP01's were in their place and no explanation. What happened?
I have - tricky thing about this TH-cam thing is people all tune in and out at different points. The focals are excellent speakers. They just became really difficult when I moved into my room I was in upstairs, I was constantly fighting them with the imaging and low end. I had a sub and the trio 6s and it still gave me crazy dips in 70-85 range unless I placed them over 10’ away from me. I tried the footprint 01s and it resolved the low end issues and allowed me to use my speakers as near fields again. The room sounded better than ever. I got to try both in several of these rooms during this move and obviously that’s what I’m sharing here.
I have these speakers. In a well tuned room they translate so well you don’t need anything else at all. I don’t even bother with the MEME options or a second set of speakers
Is it possible you can do a episode on production desks.... I' m really struggling on coming up with the right choice. not enough rack gear, can't hold 88 keys not enough expand-ability with out absolutely destroying the budget.

PS: Does anyone know what brand/model those lamps he has in front of the console? There are a pair and they point towards the floor. Thanks!
Yeah it’s pretty tough filming sessions when you’re engineering / producing. I do work really hard to capture some of them if we are able to. So coming up with ideas for videos that can give some insight or value, and be interesting to watch tends to fall close to the stuff we all use on those sessions.
