I'm not having even a little bit of trouble imagining why your home studio with live-room setup didn't work out. Something about the combo of wife and kids with paper-thin drywall just seems destined for a rethink.

My issue is not space or treatment, it's freakin isolation. No way of living in a stand-alone house here, have to live in an appartment where I can't make too much noise and I am bothered by outside noises a lot. I'm gonna order an isolation chamber because building one myself is probably gonna cost about the same and be way less effective.

I have the bassement to do it ...... but my teen (amost adult son) takes all the 1000fsq basement 🙄🤣😂 I guess I'm no far away till he put a closed door to the basement and make it is place 😅...haaaa kids😅

Matching eq curves does NOT mean the two eqs sound alike..theres transient response, crest factor, harmonic distortion etc etc ..I call snake oil on that matching eq marketing bs and you will never convince me that this thing sounds like a neve or maag or pultec 😂 like.. please

We need a tour ASAP!!!!! Also, it would so cool to see a video where you do a cover or session without multitracking. And try and get the musicians all playing at the same time in the different rooms.

What’s that chair?

My studio is in my finished (but COLD) basement. Year-round, its about 64°F. If I'm tracking drums, it's perfect. But if I'm doing anything else, I have to run 3 oil-filled space heaters to keep warm. They're silent and do a pretty good job. Pros: it's inside my house, so it's convenient. Cons: it's inside my house, so my wife goes berzerk every time I want to bring the boys over to record. Either its too loud for her, or she's wanting to do a live Paparazzi video. Also, the cielings are only 7.5 feet above the drums and 7 feet above the control room area. So having it in a seperate building would be EPIC! I DREAM of having a building behind my house, where I can go to record.
