I’m looking to have my grand piano mic’d up in another room. I was planning on using Dante cables to avoid a giant snake but here you are showing off your giant snake. Is Dante overkill if I’m only needing like four mics?

Love you channels but $11,000 Barefoots are not home studio monitors except for ultra wealthy or crazy people. I make great money at my day job but could never justify the cost of these speakers.. Is your next video going to be on buying vintage Neumans?

I have these speakers. In a well tuned room they translate so well you don’t need anything else at all. I don’t even bother with the MEME options or a second set of speakers

I remember the first time hearing these monitors. They'd just come out. I was in a treated room, and for some reason we put on a Bob Marley track. WOW. They sounded fantastic with ZERO hype. Zero. PS: Does anyone know what brand/model those lamps he has in front of the console? There are a pair and they point towards the floor. Thanks!

I mean, if you're gonna have a console - get a CONSOLE. Nothing against the Trident, they're "fine". But I don't think they really add much - they're very neutral. But if you're tracking, you want one with really good preamps. If you're mostly mixing, you want something that adds something (like great eq/dynamics), line amps you can drive a little bit, etc. This is why you have the old school guys tracking on Neve 80XX or API - but mixing on an SSL 4000E or G+. Yeah, having a console is expensive, they break, recall can be a real factor - but if I had the choice to mix ITB or on a 4000E, I'm going SSL every time.

Hearing you talk about these is exactly how I feel about my Footprint03s. Barefoot makes great monitors all the way across the line. To anyone watching this that can’t afford these I strongly recommend checking out the Footprint03s.

It'd be awesome to hear those in my studio. I'm sure the bass on them is amazing.

I had an antelope interface once and it was absolute rubbish spent more time back for repairs than i had it in the studio so now i use only universal audio interfaces which are amazing not one day in for repairs since i got it 7 years ago . Glad you are getting value from yours just be careful of their non exciting after sales service ,again rubbish . My antelope became a brick so i will never ever buy one again .

Nice vid, but imo you really should disclose if you paid for these or were gifted them or just paid to make this vid. The whole thing wreaks of being "sponsored".

I paid a $200 for some monitors that sound fantastic and added a subwoofer. Most folks are not going to listen to $11,000 speakers. Musicians in the 60s, 70s, and 80s would listen to a final mix in their cars ( where most people listened to music ). These days most folks use ear buds.

Congrats on the upgrade. You never addressed why you switched out the FOCAL TRIO's so quickly for the Footprint 01's. You seemed to love them too, but the then FP01's were in their place and no explanation. What happened?
