I'm planning on upgrading to these from my Focal Alpha 65's once I'm done mixing a big project I'm on. I've been eye-balling these for months now. First time seeing your channel, great content and great production!
Thank you man! Great channel as well. I've always been curious about the Focal Alpha's. Still stand by the Footprints though, you gotta try them, solid across the board, I just don't have any complaints.
The sound test was hilarious to listen to on my KRK’s. I have the 02’s in my other room and I love them. But those aren’t enough on the bottom end for me. So these may serve a different purchase for those looking for 35hz or lower.
@@jacksp8de I would rather get the 310 neumanns imo, but at the barefoot price point it’s unmatched!! I understand that the phase coherence could be a deciding factor on a two way system but the benefits of the three way is just too much to ignore! The extension of highs and lows alone makes it worth it!
I'm looking my next studio speakers. Thank's you for this video. I have some questions now: 1.- Do these speakers works for mixing and mastering? 2.- What's the best audio mode (MEME) for do a mixing project? 3.- If I do not have a treated room will work for me? even if I use the IK Multimedia ARC Studio? 4.- Have you worked with Dynaudio LYD-48 or Neumann KH-120? For get a comparison, which one translate better once you already had finished the mixing project?
1 - Absolutely! 2. I constantly toggle between "Flat and Cube" for mixing 3. These would work, My room is calibrated with Sonarworks/SoundId. ARC Studio should work just fine. 4. Havent tried the LYD-48 or KH-120 yet - I hear the KH-120's are amazing.
I was waiting for your review on these since I saw your post on insta with these on the back. I'm pretty pretty close on pulling the trigger on these and ditching the dynaudio's. Have you experienced any self noise or any of the white noise some of the users are experiencing? Great video and demo! The low end sounds amazing, the decay and punch of the 808 was clear as crystal. Keep the great videos, dude!
Hey! No issues here. For me no self noise. Very quiet. I always wonder if some users are experiencing feedback loops, plugging their monitors into faulty power sources, cheap unbalanced cables etc.
Im thinking of getting these and selling my kh120II but my room isnt the best. Its treated but i still have big problems in the low end and the ma1 system is a game changer for me. Do you think the barefoots are worth it when I use them with arc 4 or sonarworks?
I don't have barefoots but i have their competitor the Dynaudio lyd-48 which are fabulous monitors by the way. I actually have the Kh120a (first version) as well. That said, the reason why i replied on your comment was because i have the arc studio hardware and I've used So sonarworks in my studio before (trial). In all honestly, I wouldn't use the Arc studio with ANY high end monitor unless you are trying to change a specific characteristic of the monitor intentionally. The reason i say this is because the Arc hardware changes the "sound" of your monitors in a way that takes away the benefits of why you bought those monitors in the first place. When i turn the calibration on for my arc, yes it does clear things up a bit, but it also takes away the characteristic of the monitor. This affects the impact i need when I'm mixing or producing. For cheaper or budget monitors, the Arc is fantastic!!! An absolute steal in fact. For instance my Equator Audio D5 sound better with the Arc. You have the M1 and some FANTASTIC monitors in the KH120II. I absolutely would NOT swap that out unless you just want to go for a 3 way sound.
So you did your "Soundcheck" by comparing the direct stereo WAV of that song to the recording you did in your room of the speakers playback. Hmm,...well, the WAV definitely sounds better and that's not a surprise because you're really just recording your room. I'm sure these monitors sound great (I'm interested to try that's why I'm here) but I don't think that's the best method to showcase them. For reference I'm listened in my treated mix room on a pair of Kali Audio IN-8 v2's and through a pair Austrian Audio Hi-X65 headphones. Great info overall though -- thanks!
Man what are those nice monitors clamps for the 03's?
Nice monitors btw. Enjoy and rock on!

It’s wild because your video on the footprint 2 inspired me to get these a few months ago, keep listening cause they get better wt time
Thats crazy. Yea, I love them more the more I listen to them! 🦾🦾

I just got mine last week and I'm in love with these monitors. I came from the Adam Audio T5V and it's a different world... than where I come from.
Yes!!! Adams are good, these are a different world from the T5V!

Just what I was looking for! Tryna pick between these and the Neuman KH120ii this is helpful.
same!
@@NathanWolfxx which way are you leaning?

@@NathanWolfxx yeah I can’t afford the 3 way Neumanns but I want to stick with Neumann since I have the MT48. The barefoots are tempting though
Good stuff. Thanks for the audio comparison. Wish we could do it with 01s and 02s for comparison!

Do you know something about "hiss" sound that comes thru the way ?someday?
I haven't experienced any hiss, but I've been wondering if people are experiencing "feedback loops" with their setups.
@@ZndBornMixedIt I had some of the 1st pairs. They did hiss.Barefoot paid both ways-and fixed the amps.DEAD Quiet now.

I read on another review that it just depends on the serial numbers you got, and if you mail them to barefoot they will fix the noise issue for you
Focal trio 6 or footprint 03? Thoughts?

In going to buy it just because of that Denzel impression 😂 I know it ain’t no joke now

These are amazing monitors, ive had them for a week and since sold my adam a7vs
💯 Man I love them so much! I'm not going back.
The Barefoots are Nice! But I love my New A7vs with Built in Sonarworks" Game Changer.

Agreed lol. Yea, not much of a critical listening test, scratches the itch of anyone who's curious maybe? idk. Thanks for watching!
Response down to 45Hz doesn't seem like much while mixing edm/house music, is sub needed with these?
I was wondering the same thing
Can you make a comparison barefoot 02 vs 03
💯SNAKE EATER💯you know whats up🔥 M.G.S. fam✅
Bass woofer should have been 7inch at least..
Dude you don’t have to show me stuff like this. I already have the 02

Not to get off topic but Metal Gear Solid was that game. The Start to all these games out now !!! I'm Just sayin...Bow Down !!!
I don't care if speakers sound good i want to know whats it like to mix on as that is what they are for
What are you using now? - Footprints are tight and unhyped, honest. 🤷♂ I don't see anyone not enjoying mixing with these.
the video is good, but the focus is shit
