  • In this video, I go over how I run 100 miles in under 24 hours. I made this video because I think running 100 miles in 24 hours is a common goal among ultra runners and I wanted to share this tip to help those runners accomplish this goal. Running 100 miles is never easy, but I hope these tips make the journey easier for my fellow ultra runners.

Awesome tips. I agree completely. Eat early and often, get in your electrolytes, and slooooow down. I need to remember that last one.

Agreed!! Not stopping is massive for your mindset and taking 300-500 calories per hour is huge. Awesome video.

Can you tell us how MS affects you during these ultras and your training long runs in general? For example, do you go numb at any point?

It wouldn’t be the best video. I honestly don’t get any symptoms. I’m very fortunate to not have any symptoms!

@@KevinHoegler fair enough, that’s great to hear though. I remember a news story of a high school runner with MS and her dad caught her at the end of her finish line because she was numb, pretty incredible. What you’re doing is still amazing, and I believe it takes a lot of discipline and mental calmness to minimize the risk of flare ups.

@@illyphill yes! I’ve watched that too! Catching Kayla is what it’s called I believe. Thank you so much for the kind words!

Do you have any walking strategy? Bang out miles first, start from beginning?

I keep it slow for most of it! Usually walk some during the second half. I don’t usually have a plan, it’s more of going off how I feel!
