I can't remember his name, but the guy playing guitar to the left of Eric in the blue jacket used to be lead guitar for Hall and Oates. He a terrific guitarist. As to this song-awesome- I bet -Bob Dylan never heard it played so bluesy. I like both versions but this is so damn soul catching blues.
It was a bit touch and go, Clapton obviously just flew in and did this performance before heading out again. G.E Smith did an amazing job as musical director and it shows the magic of live music, by the last vocal verse they have their shit together. Love it!!!
Rio , me aguarde!
Incredible performance… totally took the song and made it his own.
Love the look on Steve Cropper’s face at the end .. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

That is G.E, Smith.
Gee, this is a great quality clip! Thanks, man. Outstanding guitar playing.

Bob Dylan song from 1962 .. Peter Paul and Mary also did a great cover of it
Sorry, meant to add that’s the legendary Donald ‘Duck’ Dunn on bass - he of The Blues Brothers band…
He was in Eric’s band for years!!!

Good God,you’re dumb
And Steve Cropper on the right of Eric…
