Just because you're only going to the grain elevator doesn't mean you can't take pride in how your rig looks and you've made that old truck look really good. I can't wait to see it with the hood and doors painted up and back on it.
From my farming experiences, helping my grandpa in the day.. a truck like this would handle at least 40 thousand pounds of grain, he also bought a cam etc kit..and so on, so as a youngster, learned to drive this beast. All us kids helped on all the family farms...busy summers
Watching you DA gave me an idea. Watch for a vertical air compressor thats cheap and remove the compressor stuff and install the tank in the new shop. It will increase the air capacity you have and reduce run time on the barn compressor. AL.
I'm restoring my 1059 IH 340 utility tractor. With a few upgrades to make it better. And enamel paint is still there for 63 years now. So more enamel is going back on the old girl 😂. It's a Great looking farm truck, JT. Can't wait for the finished product before harvest time.

You make that work look so easy JT! Looks like a new truck when you get finished! The IH i bought is two years newer, a Transtar. The cab is aluminum, diesel engine. Less rounded body, windshield is flat. Ugly brown but paint isnt too bad so will keep it. I have some old tractors like yours however that i would really like to paint. You are an inspiration sir! Love that ending btw! 😂

Nice work the neighbor had to 64 ih grain trucks both lp gas used them till they went to semis. We couldn't run 2 da air sanders with our system so we went to a porter cable electric...over 25 yrs later and 3 on-off switches im still using it best buy ever

That single air horn reminds me of the truck from the film Duel, but when you drove it out with no doors or hood, I thought Mad Max. Then I noticed the Bufort T Justice T shirt, and I think the Fiero needs to be black, with a Firebird on the hood, with JT as the Bandit. It’s a 70’s movie fest. 😂
I'm working on self control regarding my projects as well. My 65 F350 was never intended to be a trailer queen but it's still hard to smear a little seam filler over a couple imperfections. Once the paints on, nobody will know except me.😮
@@jtsbarnngrill6873 I did a 82 S2155. Originally a tractor stretched to a dump flatbed. Cab supports and floors gone along with many other things. I'd send a picture of that paint job but I don't know how on this format.
Ain't nothin' wrong with those silver wheels. Once you're all done with the paint and reassembly, I think if you just clean up the sidewalls of your tires, you'll like those wheels a lot better. Lookin' good.

Paint colors: Story I had my ‘79 Ford redone once. Wanting the orginal color the body shop found the paint code 3D at NAPA. It was magenta and grey mixed together. Probably no surprise to an artist like yourself. Lol
looks nice! since you now have a "fleet" of trucks you need to get some decals on the doors that has your farm name so no one has any questions on who owns the best looking trucks in town when you roll into the elevator lol
Next time... Try some Battleship Gray (or is it Grey?) on the wheels. That's kinda what the factory would have used, and it covers well. Yea, I'm with you on the silver. It'll grow on you, but it's not my 1'st choice. But it does make for a good base for the Gray... or is it Grey?... Oh well, another Inspiring Video from the mind behind JT's Barn and Grill!!!!! 👍🇺🇲

In my opinion this is not a good idea because it will take a lot longer to pump back up. You need more pump volume not more tank capacity.

I did, just did it off camera, small section that I hand sanded with a paint stick wrapped in sandpaper
