JT, I love to see the older machines still grinding it out in the fields instead of rusting away in the scrap pile. Thank you for making it happen!

Nice to see the 1800 in the field, doing what it was intended to do. We had an 1805 that had a 250 hp 3208 cat in it, it would pull pretty good. I loved working it hard on the soil saver at night, it would make the exhaust manifolds glow and blow a flame out the top of the stack about 6”. Once I figured that out, I watched it for a little bit then dropped a gear. It was always a fairly reliable tractor, we updated the dog bone and traded it off on a 2870 Case, that old tractor was a horse, but slow down the road. Thanks for the Videos, JT. Hopefully you got beans planted in time for the rain.

That tractor sounds perfect, she sounds really good with no wear sounds in her engine and gear box and with the Hydraulic tank moved it lets more air around the engine. Out of all your tractors she really sounds the best. Not to mention these big flotation tyres, she will cause very little compaction to the ground resulting in better field drainage and letting your crop root better. I bet you have the best crops using that machine, weather permitting of course.
You did an amazing job on her, she will be a credit to you and your work..
    Now, the yellow peril?

JT: on older cab tractors, we used to get seconds mudflaps from a local manufacturer. We would line the floor with them. They cut down on noise in the cab. They also cut down on the heat coming from underneath.

Good to see the 1800 working out. Free beer and a grilled steak from JT's grill.🤔 I know I could find a tractor driver for fall harvest or spring seeding. What a sight turd ferguson and the red tractor with a wide backend in the same field 👍

I hope that you get more time working on the MF1800 this summer before the harvest.
Do you have any idea why the engine oil pressure is little bit low?
Is the previous mentioned engine blow-by excessive or normal?
Have you done a cylinder pressure test yet just to know how even they are?
I am impressed how good tractor you got for the price you payed.

I don’t think the blow by is bad at all, I haven’t done a compression test on it, I only have a gas tester so I wouldn’t be able to. I’m sure I’ll be running her more. Still have to do fuel filter and change the oil once more

Great job on the 1800 JT!!! Shes a beaut! Those CAT motors really run great and pull well! I know your 1805 has a 3208...is that one turbo or NA?
Our 1805 had the motor swapped with a 3208 turbo from a truck. What is in the 1800? 3160?
    Great video as always!

Yep, 3160 on the 1800. The 05 has a NA 3208. I can imagine a turbo would really wake that thing up lol
