I’m on week 13 and have lost 38lbs … I am on Mounjaro and was supposed to start my 10mg dose this week but NO WHERE has 10mg in stock in my area so I skipped 10mg and went to 12.5 . I’m on day 2 and side effects aren’t nearly as bad as I was expecting for skipping 10mg. I started at 2.5mg and go up by 2.5 every month.
You couldn’t take two 5mg shots? I’m on Ozempic & the side effects have been pretty severe. I’m glad it’s not nausea & vomiting, but it’s “the other way” around. I want to know when these side effects will subside! (Im on week 5)
@@MDNELLEY Hmm.. I never thought of asking to do two 5mg and my doctor never mentioned it either. I am doing okay on 12.5 and dropped 9 lbs last week once I went to 12.5, That’s the most I ever lost in a week though..So I’m down 47lbs now..Side effects hit me EVERY time I change dose , it happens about day 2 or 3 but only lasts a day thankfully. I do get nauseous every once in awhile but only lasts a few minutes and yes I have it the other way around too lol but again that’s only when I go up a dose , so only have to deal with that once a month thank goodness.
I have type 2 diabetes and have a hard time getting my Ozempic shots because weight-loss doctors are giving them to their patients to lose weight. Because of this my A1c has gone from 6 to 11 since October. It's a ridiculous situation that can be life threatening to those of us who need this medication to control our sugar.
How did you become a type 2 diabetic? That’s like telling you to just eat right and exercise to help your blood sugar, you can fix that with diet and exercise. It is reversible, just like weight loss? Obesity can lead to type2 , so seems both need this medicine.
@@Carolann17 Those are the first advice you get when you're in risk of type 2 diabetes and should also be given to overweight people instead of starting with medication.
Just started Mounjaro for T2D and 80lbs overweight. I feel like so much better and I am not thinking about food all the time because I feel full. No Diet soda too?
Although some of the medicines have been approved . Are there research data on these medicines the side effects they have on your organs like kidney, heart etc. or do FDA will wait 5 years and say the drug is bad?
I think gastric emptying is when food actually leaves the stomach. These medications slow the process of stomach emptying to make you feel fuller longer.
I have just got a script for this for weight loss where I live in Australia we can't get it atm tho but people need this drug for diabetes also they should be able to access it before any of us using it for weightloss
Talk to your Dr. about metformin if you haven't tried it in the past. It does some similar actions on the body in terms of insulin sensitivity. Its working great for me and isn't in a shortage and is basically free.
You do not gain 15 lbs by drinking a can of soda per day. It largely depends on your overall calorie consumption and your activity levels. Not saying soda is healthy, but this is a very ridiculous tip.
The content in my videos are based on scientific evidence. The weight gain associated with soda can be found in the medical textbook Steelman,M., Westman, E. Obesity Evaluation and Treatment Essentials, 1st Edition, pg 1
Because “just” eating 20 carbs is difficult in general. And maybe someone doesn’t want to be on a ketogenic diet. It is extreme. IF fasting… sure. Lower carb sure… but you don’t need to say just.
What you think leads to diabetes? And no I don’t take this, but they approved a medicine for weight loss. A person that is type 2 diabetic, How do you think they got there🤷♀️
Girl get over it, blame the medical companies not people with a diagnosed medical condition (obesity) I could say to Diabetics why are you omit stop drinking soda and eating cake
Blaming patients isn’t the way to make improvements in supply. This was a foreseeable issue the pharm company should have considered. Monjouro, Saxenda and Wegovy is specifically for obese patients. If you truly believe millions of people are overweight bc of too much soda and fries you have more to learn. Compassion goes a long way.

Stop eating carbs, meat and green veggies grown above ground is all you need.

Do you think majority of patients taking Wegovy haven’t tried decades of what you recommend? You are lacking the data. Please consider compassion.

By slowing down the emptying of stomach, would that benefit someone with IBS-D?

Diet soda is as bad or worse than regular soda which is sweetened with corn syrup!

1. No soda 2. Ear protein 3. Exercise. Blah
What's a lean protein for vegetarians?
Tofu
Should i also give up club soda?
Only if it has calories
Delayed gastric emptying , what ?
Is that constipation
Yes yes and yes it’s awful.

It stays in your stomach so you feel full longer. No constipation for me at all

also you can add the semiglutide later once the shortage is over. people are allowed to take both
Exercise isn’t effective for weight loss. It’s all about diet.
Even DIET SODA? What about iced tea with stevia?
Drink water or green tea
