Been on it for 2 years now. A1C down to 5.2 from 14.8 . Weight is down from 364 to 220lbs. This stuff saved my life. My Endocrinologist recommended it and I am so thankful he did.
What dosage are you on. I’ve just began taking it a month ago. I had diarrhea and nausea for the first month but it has stopped now. Congratulations on your weight loss and A1C. I weigh 240 and hope to go down to 200.
@@colleenjones757 hello Colleen, I was started on 0.25 for 2 weeks then 0.50 for 4 weeks then moved up to 1mg. I did have diarrhea for around a month but didn’t have any nausea. My only suggestion would be not to set a goal weight. Definitely aim for an Excellent A1C but let the weight loss be a fantastic side effect of getting your A1C under control. My plan was to try and lose 50 pounds, now 3 years later I am sitting at 205 pounds and I never thought that was possible. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Good luck Colleen
I’ve been on Ozempic for about 6 months. I’m 45 years old and have been a paraplegic for 12 years. I blew up to size 56 pants post injury. Since ozempic I’ve dropped down to a 44. 3 sizes more to go to get back down to my preinjury size!! This stuff has brought me back to life!!! I’ve wheeling 5 miles a day, and back to rolling off road.
Started me out on 2 MG. The side effects were bad, mainly severe nausea. Just took my 6th shot today, and am from 241 lbs to 197 lbs. I was pre-diabetic, too. Key word, was. Life saver!🎉
I am 63 years old and have been on Ozempic for 6 months and it has changed my life! I have lost 56 lbs and my eating habits have changed considerably. I have cut out all sweet things ( sugar, chocolate etc,) and check all foods for sugar content before I eat. The gym bores me, so I walk everyday - to the shops or the shopping centre and use the stairs instead of lifts ( elevators) . I have an exercise bicycle in my room and watch films when I'm on it. I was amazed at the weight loss ( I've had to change my clothes size from 3XL to L ) and feel much better, both physically and mentally. I did suffer some side effects ( flatulence / nausea ) initially, but they only occur if I succumb to the odd 'treat' . I would have no hesitation in recommending OZEMPIC in combatting Diabetes Type 2.
I have been taking .25 mg doze for over two years. Loss of appetite, nausea, and diarrhea were side effects. It did bring my A1c by 1 point. But now after 2 year use it has gone up. If you are going to take it, make sure you walk everyday. Cost is prohibitively high. With insurance it is $240 per month. If you don't have insurance it is close to $1,000 per month. From what I here, both Canada and Mexico, cost is much lower.
@Declan Kennedy can you elaborate the side effects when you eat certain things? I will be starting mine tonight at bedtime and really want to avoid the sick feeling. It is when you eat carbs/sweets or over eat in general? Thank you for your post!
Started on Ozempic 7 Month's ago. As of today, 43# down. I Love this stuff. I have changed the way I eat. It's a lifestyle change. No sugar, little to no carbs, and lots of water! Still need to lose 50#'s more. Can't tell you how much better I feel! I can walk much better! No wheezing, my whole body just feels so much lighter! I'm 68 years old, beginning weight WAS 257..TODAY 214. YAHOO!!
I did not have any trouble with vomiting at all. I've just not had any desire to eat! (By the way, I've never been a big eater, I don't binge eat or snack. My problem was I was eating way to many carbs/sugers. Like 1-2 cokes per week, had potatoes at dinner with meat and veggie, ate bread if I had lunch with chips. Since being on Ozempic, I have changed WHAT I ATE! Low carbs and low sugers is the new way I eat. It really isn't hard for me. As for today, I'm down 50 lbs.
I am not diabetic but on Ozempic for weight loss and it’s an absolute game-changer. I’ve managed to lose 25 pounds so far, nearly 10% of my body weight. This has resulted in increasing my stamina and tolerance for more exercise, something I really struggled with before. Just an amazing medication.
That’s what I want and am searching for the truth. I don’t have blood sugar but my weight isn’t going no where. I am low carb and keto but I only maintained not to gain but not losing either. I want to take of 40lb and be able to exercise which is painful for me now. Thank you 😊
I have used it during almost one week, on my 5th day. I feel good, a bit nausea only. Lost cravings. I am so hopeful that this will curve overeating and craving for icecream. I am very grateful to my doctor who perscrived this medication to me.
What was your starting dose? I took 1mg and vomited for 2 days…. Decreased it to 0.25 still had morning sickness. Just increased back to 1mg today waiting to see what happens again
I am 79 and my A1C suddenly hit 7.9 and I was put on this medication. This is BY FAR the very best video I have seen to educate yourself on using a prescription product to reduce your A!C. Information and production values are perfect!
Greetings I’m a 72yo with hypothyroidism I take Levothyroxine 137mg…I’m about to begin using ozempic my Dr. prescribed 0.25 subcutaneous once a week. My question to you is will taking this medication interfere with my thyroids?
I've been on Ozempic 5 weeks, strictly for weightloss. I originally wanted Saxenda, and my doctor recommended this instead. I do have a history of Gestational diabetes and family history of type 2. I've lost 15lbs and no unwanted side affects! So happy!
Ive been on Ozempic for 1 month. I am exhausted and no energy. I had nausea, constipation, Gastro problems. I also have retinopathy however I have not noticed any worsening in my eyes. Next week I’m supposed to be changing my goals to .50. I don’t think that’s gonna work. I can barely handle the .25. I’ve already notified my doctor and I’m waiting on a response. Thank you so much for this video. It particularly help me to understand how to inject myself. I’m already on insulin but that flex pen really was confusing. By the way, I lost 9 pounds so far. Now that feels good!
@@shirleyoldham8773 I would try everything to stick it out the side effects gets better. The lack of energy hit me hard at first but that was to do with my food intake dropping drastically. I'm now six months in 100lb down and with blood at none diabetic levels
I'm glad it worked out for you, Michael. I just took my first dose about 30 minutes ago. I'm hopeful. My A1C is nearly 12 and I'm afraid of the side effects. Continued good luck and good health. 🍀 ☘️ 🍀 ☘️ 🍀
I was looking for a "How to," and yours was MUCH better than the one I watched first. Yours was much longer, but also better. You went over all of my questions and answered so many questions I didn't even know to ask. Thank you!
This is the review I needed to read!.. I didn't want to take the surgical route so this was my next option. I was rejected by my insurance. My doc waited 5 months to prescribe again and here I am about to take my first injection tomorrow. Praying for results like yours
Hi i just started mine .25 dose last week havent had any symptoms when do we see wait loss result after how long and what type of diet we have to follow
I watched this video as I administered my very first dose of Ozempic. Thank you for explaining the little dashes!! I was so lost 😳😂 I was on Mounjaro previously and suffered debilitating back pain, that stopped after I stopped taking it, then started again when I resumed. I told my Dr I had no intention of taking Mounjaro again. So she suggested Ozempic. I managed my diabetes with diet, prior to taking any injections, to get my A1C down from 14 to 9.6. Mounjaro and my diet got me from 9.6 to 5.8. Today, with no injections, my daily spikes are what concern me. I’m hoping Ozempic will be the answer to keep those from happening. Best of luck to you all!! 🫶🏽
Its my first week on Ozempic. No side effects yet. I feel great. The one thing ive noticed is that i am less hungry and feel full a lot longer...if my last meal of the day is at 6-7 pm i dont feel hungry until the next day at about 10-11 am. prior to ozempic i was feeling hungry all the time.
I’ve been taking this for 4 months and I’ve lost 42 pounds . For me it really just makes my appetite go away completely and in return helps me keep better eating habits.
I am six month into ozempic, I built up slowly and six months in I am down 100lbs and my sugars are way down to the point I am no longer considered diabetic. At the age of 37 I learnt what it meant to be full after a small meal, and It allowed me to switch to a healthy eating pattern very easily, something I have never achieved with all the many diets I have tried. I did go through all the tummy issues and still need to take something to free up my movements. I would recommend Ozempic to anyone who is able.
I agree I have lost 28lbs yes I do experience nausea but I do take over counter meds to relieve my uncomfortable stomach issues such as nexum or mylanta I can’t believe my alc is in the 5 now
I finally saw a new doc. High sugars , feel horrible. Ozempic started at lowest dose. Worked immediately. Less desire to binge eat, stress eat, already full feeling after small normal meal.numbers down right away. However full feeling a little more than expected and no BM in 2 - 3 days not expected. Then instead of waiting the 4 weeks to double dose like recommended for body to get used to effects my doc did that in 1 week. They say it does not work at low dose but mine did. Now actually Losing my appetite, uncomfortable fullness, reflux , constipation. Obviously diabetes sucks but now I can barely eat. Thinking this dose was not necessary.
Been on Ozempic for a few months.i just started 1mg injections. Barely any side affects..down 22.4 lbs. This is a miracle drug for me. Thanks for this video. Put me more at ease :) barely any hunger and binge eating disorder under control!!
My primacy care just put me on this. I have not begun as of yet. My A1C is currently an 8. I was never this big but a motorcycle crash in 2013 had me out of work for a combined 1.5 years. I was a FedEx driver in good shape. I gained over 100lbs! Two years ago I was 346lbs with a 52" waist. Then became diabetic. I lost 70lbs and currently have a 44" waist. Doc still wants me on Ozempic. This video is greatly appreciated because I know nothing about the product or the side effects.
I've been on it for almost 3 months for weight loss. I've dropped almost 15lbs. I'm not hungry anymore, no cravings, I eat small amounts. I'm excited to see how far I can go. I've had gastric bypass in 1999 and after tremendous weight loss I regained most of it since then. Hunger would not stop, cravings became binges. Ozempic is working so far. The semaglutide for weight loss is not covered by my insurance, but Ozempic is because it's designed for diabetes. I'm feeling better, my ruined joints aren't as bad. Soon I should be able to start taking walks. 🎉
@@antonellaangeli1760 I'm prediabetic. I've had the gastric bypass, too, and failed. I started Ozempic and lost 43lbs in 3 months. It absolutely killed my hunger. I've had to use nutritional drinks to maintain. Unfortunately, after a while, the effects began to diminish and had to bump up to the next dose until I couldn't go any higher. I was switched to Trulicity which did nothing and I've begun to regain. I suggest that you give Ozempic a try, or use another SEMAGLUTIDE product, like Rybelsus. Insurance does not pay for semaglutide for weight loss, but it does for diabetic control. So that is how it's prescribed to me. Good luck!
Who told you your insurance won't cover it? My Dr told me that and I believed him because even though it didn't make sense, I figured he would know right? But suddenly I had this nagging voice tell me to call the pharmacy to get the NDC codes for the lowest dose and the next up dose. I called my insurance company myself and guess what?! They don't cover the lowest dose BUT THEY DO COVER the higher dose! So I called my Dr's office and told the (shocked) receptionist what I found and got an appt to be seen. I will be getting my Ozempic later this month (August 22/2022) I say all this to tell you to NEVER take your Dr's word. Do your own homework & take your health in your own hands! I did.
@@helprehouseourvets6919 My insurance covers the semaglutide in the form for diabetic use, but not in the form for weight loss. Wegovy is semaglutide dosed strictly for weight loss, but most insurances won't cover it for that. Stupid, if you ask me. You'd think they'd be happy to provide weight loss meds. I got the most recent dose of Ozempic, but oddly, it's not having the same effect. I may try Rybelsus. There is a new one out called Tirzepatide
Today was my first dose, too. I started at the .25 dose because I'm truly afraid of the side effects. I already have issues with nausea, diarrhea, and constipation, so adding more to it is just an awful thought. My A1C is almost 12, so that's even scarier at this point. Best wishes for both of us! 🍀 ☘️ 🍀 ☘️ 🍀 ☘️ 🍀 ☘️ 🍀
I was taking Trulicity once a week and Basalgar 60 mg at night. My doctor said to start on ozympic 0.25 and to use Basalgar like I did Trulicity. I just took my first dose of ozympic just now. Your video was very helpful as the needle was not explanatory. I am 79 and praying not to have nausea or diarrhea.
Been on Ozempic for a couple of years now. I am now 66 years old and was diagnosed with diabetes just over 2 years ago. My A-1 C was 11.7 it is now 5.8. After being on it for less than a year I had to get new glasses because my eyes had improved so much. The 1 side effect I do have is nausea pretty much every day.
I've been on Ozempic for 12 weeks and have lost 22lbs. My A1C went from 11.2 to 6.4 in 8 weeks. I've been taking .25mg the entire time because my glucose levels have been so good. So far so good!
Wow I'm asking my dr for this. I'm currently taking humalog. And levimere. And my a1c was 9.7 I am 100 lbs over weight. I need this. Apparently. I'm calling in the morning. Hope n prayy results are great too.
@@zelindahodgkins6917 Unless you change your eating habits avoiding meats, It wont help. I'm up to 1 mg. for 2 months now and only lost 4 lbs. I don't do much exercise or walk a lot. This can have an impact. I'm 85.
This is a story I was so happy to hear! I'm hoping that on the .25 dose that I don't have any side effects. I'm also happy to see how fast your A1C went down. I'll be interested to see how fast mine will go down from the 11.4 that it is now.
I just took my first dose of Ozempic and finding this video has allayed a lot of my concerns and answered my questions. After finding out how high my A1C had gotten, I kind of zoned out what the doctor was saying. My pharmacist was great, but I thought of questions after I left the pharmacy. Thank you. I think your channel is going to be my go to as I navigate this next journey in Type 2 Diabetes.
I am Type 2 with Fistulizing Crohn's Disease. Ozempic has definitely lowered my A1C. But a fringe benefit is that has also helped tremendously with the diarrhea associated with Crohn's. Apparently slowing the GI transit time induced by the Ozempic helps the Crohn's. Nice benefit for me.
Im about to start ozempic and feel a little nervous. But im also doing it because i have R.A and i am diabetic..im hoping that the weight loss will help me as my R.A progresses i cant carry all the extra weight..wish me luck😉
worked wonders with me. I've lost over 45 lbs, A1c down to 6.2 from over 9.0 not hungry anymore, and when I am, it only last for no more than 20 minutes. Avoiding low blood sugar is related to NOT eating due to NOT being hungry. the high cost of my co-payment kept me from getting it from my Medicare PCP but the VA finally gave it to me due to my very bad heart. SO glad I'm on it now. Now, I sometimes see better without my glasses on.
Hi! Clunical Pharmacist here and also a patient who uses Ozempic myself. Please be aware that the pen must be primed each time a patient opens a new box, and needles must be discarded in a sharps/hazard container. That aside, after 3 years of struggling with Diabetes, this is the first medication that worked for me. I recommend it highly for those who are candidates and can tolerate it!
I noticed he forgot to mention the pen needs to be prime first time you use it. You should notice a small drop of medication when prime properly I noticed that small drop of medication when I attached a needle for the first time. Excellent tutorial.
I use Ozempic and love it. It has improved my A1C from 7.2 down to 6.2. The worse side effects are terrible gas, big huge burps, bloating. But after a couple months of using it, it has toned down quite a bit.
In 6 months I’ve lost 40 pounds, lowered my a1c to 6.2 and I’m off metformin! My mom has seen the lowest blood sugars in years since starting Ozempic. Also, I found dosing at bedtime I seem to have no nausea with it.
Excellent information. I started on Ozempic in early September 2020. I am amazed how physically good I feel. My A1C is between 6 and 7 and I have already lost 18 pounds. I consider this a miracle drug for me. Oh how I wish I could have been on Ozempic much sooner in life. Thankyou so much for explaining this drug to me. My diabetes is well on track! And I feel like a whole new person!
Yes, it make us sick if we are not diabetic, but we really loose weight,.. I am taking it and makes me sick of my stomach and lower belly area, feeling weak and jittery..lost 12 pound in 2 month.
I just took my fifth dose, which I graduated to and will be moving up to 1mg in a month. The first two doses I experienced very mild abdominal aches, but those disappeared. So far, I've lost 10 lbs. I'm so excited to see what the higher dosage does. My A1C is 5.7 and my doctor prescribed Ozempic for weight loss to match my current health status. I highly recommend if you have the insurance to cover it.
This channel has been so informative. My A1C is 6, and just had my first dose at 0.25 and will continue at this dose for 4 weeks. Then graduating to 0.50 for the next four weeks. Is it common to graduate to 1.0, or will it be possible to lose weight, reduce A1C at the 0.50 dose. This is all so new...nice to have a group to talk to about it.
I am going start ozempic for first time today. I accidentally tune to your video and I am so impressed with positive feedback of ozempic. I was little hesitant, now I am encouraged how to use ozempic. Thank u for your excellent communication explaining how successful ozempic is with individuals like myself with type 2 diabetes. Yes I subscribe.
Great video...only thing you may wish to mention is forwarding the Ozempic dial to make sure the "goods" are flowing through the needle before administering.....then turn back pen, and reset to the desired shot strength...thanks again for the great video!
It's been 3 months since I started Ozempic. I feel torn because I have lost 18 lbs. but I don't feel great. I feel full most of the time. This part is great! I did feel hungry even after eating before Ozempic. Now I eat much less and my blood sugar is much better. I get my A1C checked next week. I am on the 1mg dose.
I have been on Ozempic for 7 weeks and I have decreased my use of Lantus from 80 units to 30 units and Apidra from 10 units per meal to 3 units. Really no side effects to complain about.
I’ve been on ozempic for now almost three months and I am happy to say I’ve lost 17lbs with in two months which was shocking to me dealing with thyroid issues since I was born loosing weight was always an issue so knowing this medication is working is such an amazing thing I’ve used trulicity as well so honestly ozempic is really showing me results and I’m happy my endocrinologist recommended it 🥺😌
I’ve lost 17lbs as well. Started on 0.25mg & moved up to 0.5mg a week ago. I’m newly diabetic as of last month but I put on a lot of weight quickly due to a knee injury. I’m excited to see the weight leave & my A1c get back on track
I’ve been on ozempic for 2 months and the worst side effects is the nausea but that makes me eat less and have lost weight. So it’s a win in my opinion
Im super scared of those GI side effects. After having pregnancies with hyperemesis during practically the whole 9 months, I can't muster the courage to volunteer to possibly throw up again. More power to you, for enduring the side effects. Hope it helps you to reach your health goals. :)
I have been on Ozempic for one week. I radically changed my diet eating less and more vegetables, always with a protein. Lost 10 lbs 243 to 233. And to my surprise felt better than I have in a long time. Because I had my gall blather removed years ago I’ve struggled with dailey diarrhea. Last week my bathroom events have been cut in half all but one day solid.
I'm so glad to see someone post that has had gallbladder removed. I've had it, and like you, have had diarrhea off and on (mostly on) for decades. I just finished my first week on Ozempic. I did have diarrhea, but it's hard to tell if it's normal or part of the side effects. On the starter dose I've already lost my appetite and bought some Slimfast Protein shakes to use instead of a meal. The only thing so far is that, some burping, and increased acid. I've had to take more Tums than normal. I really hesitate to up the dose. I don't think I would go past the .5. My doctor had me continue taking Metformin, and my A1C was only 7.5 before I started. I sure need the weight loss.
PS. When taking the full dose ,make sure you serve yourself smaller portions (believe me,you'll be satisfied !) Because I was used to serving myself a certain amount ,it gave me nausea. Once I got the point that I no longer needed that much food ,nausea went away. You'll adjust.... You won't be hungry and will lose weight.
My same experience. I've been on Ozempic for 6 months now, I had a bad episode of nausea and vomiting only once that I had too big portions of everything at a dinner out. I've lost 25 kilos from the start of my journey in type 2 diebetes, not entirely due to ozempic but due to some intake control that I'm practicing (I usually don't think to it as a diet), but ozempic helped a lot with the satiety sensation.
I've been on Ozempic now for about 6 weeks and it has dropped my blood sugar so that I am in normal range all the time. I am so happy after having such a hard time regulating my blood sugar. I have noticed a noticeable decrease in my appetite but that is ok since I am eating enough. Definitely pleased so far., and I've also lost a few pounds.
I am not diabetic, but my doctor started me on ozempic as a weight loss medication. I have tried so many things to lose weight. Despite active efforts to lose weight I have slowly gained weight over the last several years. I was referred to the bariatric clinic due to my BMI (such an outdated measure, but still). I am on the lowest dose of .25mg and have been for about 4-5 months. I have successfully lost 20 lbs doing the exact same things that I have been doing. I have never successfully lost more than about 5 lbs on any diet or exercise plan in the past. There were some side effects at the beginning (I also have gastroparesis, so that doesn't help), but they have subsided to nothing more the my normal level of digestive issues. I am thankful that my insurance covers this medication with a manageable copay.
Thats good I've just started not feeling anything different I lost 19 pounds on sandexa then stopped so giving this one a try. They have started me on 0.5 let's see how I get on not been a week yet but not feeling anything just yet.
Hi Keisha, I realise it has been 11 months since you posted your comment. I hope you are still doing well. Reading your comment I had to ask if there was any reason you didn't increase the dose to .5mg after 4 weeks on .25mg? I only found out today that even though I had 2 needles left in my box there are only 4 doses because of the increase. If I had done the maths I would have worked it out. It took ringing my chemist today thinking there was a problem with the pen, to be told about the 4 doses. It is so frustrating as I was talking to my pharmacist about my 10kg weight loss on Ozempic, I asked her what was my starting date, I said I was on my 2nd pen, she asked if I needed my next pen & I said no as I still had 2 doses left. I am not angry as they go above & beyond to help me in any way they can, it was just one of those learning experiences & I can excuse myself as I haven't been thinking straight due to being very anxious about an upcoming operation & even though I love how the weight is coming off, for me it is coming off too quickly, I am very scared about an upcoming operation which I have to lose weight for, so the sooner I get to the target the sooner the operation which is only 3kg away.
A few things, I never went up to the .5 dose because I didn't need to. I was losing on the lower dose. It has been a over a year since I started and have lost 50 lbs. I had noticed a plateauing and was going to ask my doctor about adjusting the dose. Unfortunately, that isn't going to happen as now my insurance will no longer cover it. Ozempic is not approved as a weight loss med in the US. Many insurance companies are starting to not cover it for anyone who isn't diabetic.
I have been taking this for 4 months lost almost 50 pounds A1c went from 9.7 to 5.2. It does make me feel sick to my stomach and I burp a lot but it has been an awesome medication.
@@lauriee5200 I cut out most sugar stopped drinking soda and also just ate a lot more protein and smaller portions. The medicine helped because I am really not hungry most of the time and usually have to force myself to eat so my sugar doesn't drop too low.
Ozempic has changed my life. I have been on it since April 2022 and have lost almost 50lb with some commitment and healthy choice. I feel 100% better. It's so easy compared to other diabetes medications. I have very few and mild side effects such as mild dull headache the day of my injection and constipation which is easily dealt with. I could not be happier!!!
I bought Ozempic from Shopper’s Drug Mart in Canada two weeks ago for $284 for a months supply. The price has come down but it still is out of reach for those without private insurance. Thankfully, my company insurance covers the full amount. I noticed that the only time I had gastrointestinal issues (really bad diarrhea) was last night when I ate an unhealthy snack. I’ve been on keto and one meal a day (OMAD) for the last few months so my body wasn’t use to eating crap and I have been losing weight before I started Ozempic. Funny thing is I didn’t even enjoy that snack. Will continue my keto diet with OMAD and exercise while taking Ozempic to lower my blood sugar. Also, I take Ozempic every Friday after work when I am at home to avoid any side effects at work (who wants to get diarrhea at work?). Plus I’ll have Saturday and Sunday to recover.
Glad of your success! My problem is I’m not used to HAVING to eat. I’ve been watching what and how much for so long I am going Low. I’ve stopped all diabetic pills as I would drop to 56 and 57! So now just the .25 shot once/week and trying to remember to eat. 😍
I’ve been on it for a year. Lost 2 stone and blood sugar down to normal. Occasionally feel nauseous but nothing too much. I feel my digestion works again. Very glad it’s on the NHS in UK. Feel very lucky that I’ve been prescribed it. I don’t get so hungry and eat less, and much better.
I started Ozempic after being diagnosed. I was overweight and had a high A1C. I've lost 50 pounds and look great. My A1C is around 6 now. I changed my diet and like you mentioned the nausea and vomiting can be troublesome. But it's been worth it. I've almost reached the weigh loss set by my nurse practitioner. Yay!
That is great...but..most people would rather be a little overweight than be sick everyday from a medication. I have tried Victoza, Byetta, Bydureon AND Trulicity! All made me nauseous and I even ended up in the ER a couple of times.
I had to have my insulin adjusted 5 weeks after I started. I was having several very low blood sugars 2 to 3 times a day. My blood pressure was so much lower than I’ve ever seen. This also made me very dizzy.I had to have my heart meds adjusted too. I’m having to have .25 /week for 2 months instead of 1 month. The comments here have been so helpful and enlightening. Thanks for the tip on the available coupons.
I have been on Ozempic for two years and it is magic. I went from A1C of 8.6 to 5.4 and has maintained that level for 24 months. I had some side affects in the first 8 weeks but none since. It works for me.
@@meghanstufflebean4139 Not for me, I lost a good 10 lbs but managed to gain it back. The blood glucose control is still amazing, but then it is easy to up sugar like cookies again.
I started taking Ozempic two months ago. First month on a .25 I had no side effects and no noticeable effect on my glucose or appetite. The second month on 0.5 was great. Then I moved up to the 1 milligram and it was awful. It wasn’t so much nausea, I had terrible cramps and diarrhea and I simply could not eat at all, I had no appetite, I would force myself to have one slice of toast a day and I was feeling so weak I could hardly function. I was told by a diabetes nurse that rather than go back to 0.5, I should take 1 mg pen but not turn the cap all the way to the full dose, but to count the clicks, there are 75 clicks from 0 to 1 mg, and to count about 50 clicks and see how that goes. That’s about 2/3 of a dose. If that works out OK, to increase my dose each week by five clicks until I reach the full amount. It’s been working brilliantly, I have already lost 5 kg in the last month and my glucose levels are at normal level. And I have no nausea or other stomach issues. I can’t wait to see what my HA1c is at my next blood test.
I started a.month and a half.ago I'm type 2 biabetic and I was on 2 insulin and metforfin. I was vomiting the first moth but now its jist nausea. I drink a glass of v8 to make sure I'm getting my vegetables but now my sugar is going back up so I'm gonna have to start 0.5 today and I'm so worried that I'm gonna start.vomiting again. Its a good medicine has really helped my sugar but I'm afraid of throwing up again. Its just miserable, and I couldn't go anywhere because it was projectile vomiting. If i wasn't close to a restroom I wouldn't make it in time.
@@deborahcowles4345 can you get antinausea tablets from your doctor, or maybe try drinking a corriander tea? Just get some ground coriander and mix a tea spoon in with water. Helps me nausea every time
So you are saying you are taking ,75. ? Bc my doc wants me to do .25 x 1 WEEK ! then double to .5 x 3 weeks then double to 1 mg. I not so commonly had pos effects at .25 so I was reluctant to double at 1 wk. I did as she said and very uncomfortable right now. Dont see myself doing the 1 mg. Ill keep that in mind incase the .5 remains too high.
FELUTXI Hi, I've been on Ozempic since May 2020, i was prescribed it (on private prescription in the U.K, it's only available on NHS if you are diabetic which I wasn't ) because I was gaining weight despite being on a very low calorie healthy diet. I ended up weighing 210lbs and rising (I'm only 5ft 1in tall) and due to spinal issues following an accident I had to have extensive spinal surgery so carrying all the extra weight meant I was in chronic pain 24/7 and was having to regularly increase my pain medication just to get through the day. I'm now 8 months on and have lost 49lbs, I haven't changed my diet or activity levels at all so every lb lost is down to Ozempic. The only side effect I've had is EXTREME nausea during all my waking hours and it was nausea that more often than not followed through to vomiting. I tried everything to reduce the nausea from reducing the Ozempic dose to cutting out caffeine (some people have found that Ozempic and caffeine don't go well together) and nothing worked. I tried several anti sick medications and antacid medications and nothing helped and I thought I'd have to stop the Ozempic, the thought of this was heartbreaking as I'd had such fantastic weight loss where no other diet had worked. I eventually tried Cyclizine Hydrochloride and 🤞🏻for the last couple of months they've worked and I've had no nausea (it's been bliss!!). Obviously I don't want to be taking anti sickness for months on end so my plan is to get to my goal weight which is to lose another 24lbs then to cut my Ozempic gradually down to as low a dose as possible and then cut out the anti sickness mess and 🤞🏻my body will be happy with it. Good luck on your journey xx
Finally somebody's telling you all the side effects you get I even watched TH-cam people were dying from it are you still taking it God bless you for being able to tell about it😊
I was on this medication for 2 years and it did work. I developed pancreatitis and no longer can take it. Just wanted to let people know to keep watch of the symptoms of pancreatitis and blood work.
@@donnaharris1586this is what I'm afraid of. If my A1C wasn't so high and I didn't have other health issues that Ozempic can help with, I wouldn't take it. I just took my first .25 dose today. I'll admit to being fearful.
Thanks so much for this video. i just started on my first full dose today. I experienced some nausea but not bad the first 2 weeks but so far all is going great. I can’t believe how it has controlled my hunger! i’m never hungry! I’m 63 this month and been Type2 for about 11 years. i’ve been on Tresiba and Farxiga and Kombliglize for years got my A1C to low 7- now trying Ozempic with xigduo to lose weight etc. I can’t thank you enough for this information. You are a blessing!
I started August 22 ,2021. I have lost 30lbs. Nausea and vomiting and severe constipation . The price is too high. I am now in the donut hole and can't afford to pay for it so I have to stop until I get out of the donut hole. In April the price goes up to 214.00 I don't think it's fair to have to stop it when it works
Thank you! Your video was extremely helpful. I took my first dose of Ozempic today. Was so easy after watching your video, everything went perfect with the application. I have had Type 2 Diabetes for several years and the doctor just added the Ozempic to what I am already taking.
I get my healthcare at one of the world's most famous hospitals. The Attending Physician at the Endocrinology Clinic of that hospital described Ozempic to me as being "a miracle drug" (her exact words). I like it a lot...it's helped me a lot and I've had no problems at all with it...no side effects. I wish it wasn't so expensive though.
I have been using Ozempic at the.05 dose for about 14 months.Along with doing so I also changed my eating habits.I changed my diet to my choices and not any given by a Doctor or Dietitian.I eat all of the Protein,Vegetables that are Low in Carbs, and Fresh Fruits such as Grapes, Blueberries, Strawberries, Cuties,& Peaches that I want.My A1c was 13.8 when I started being treated and it’s now 5.5 and it was 5.4 the visit before my last one.I have dropped from a size 46 pants to a size 36 pants and before now the last time I wore a size 36 I was in the 9th grade in 1974.I Rarely ever get hungry because I always have plenty of foods that I can eat all that I want of.All of my blood work and blood pressure are Excellent as well.I have had high blood pressure since I was in my early 20’s and I also have a fatty liver from Alcohol abuse as a teenager and into my late 20’s.I have very strong willpower and I have not Cheated on my eating plan even once and I don’t Reward myself with junk foods.I skip the carbs every day all day.I don’t do any exercise due to having severe Neuropathy in my feet, hands, and arms. The Ozempic helps with my hunger but I can control my diet.I have lost well over 100 lbs so far and these 36’s are getting looser every single day.I also have seen Zero side affects from the Ozempic.I will be coming off of the Insulin Pump in June since I only refill it every 6 to 7 days now. When I started on my change of life I was refilling the pump every day and a half to two days Max.I feel great and life is good.If I could get rid of the Neuropathy Pain it would be AWESOME.👍👏❤️

Thank you for showing this tutorial. It was very informative. ❤I appreciate those who do tutorials because it takes the guessing and fear out of the situation.
I have been on Ozempic since last April along with Forxiga. I have lost 60 pounds since January. The nausea was significant in the beginning but eventually went away after about 3 months. What I am still dealing with is diarrhea anywhere from 3 to 5 days per week. The sulphuric gas, bloat is daily. Sticking closer to a plant based diet has helped me the most. My sugars were much better in the first 6 months of use, but eating more meat lately they have gone back up somewhat. As far as ease of use, convince etc, I think its terrific. I have a relaxed work, home care, so I have been able to manage side effects and a very understanding roommate... Bottom line is 60 pounds down and that's great for a 53 year old lady. Its a tool to help with weight loss, not a miracle cure on its own, in my opinion! Update... Another year later I have kept the weight off. Nearly losing another 5 pounds. I feel the best the close I stick to plant based diet. Bloat has never left me, no has the terrible gas. Getting on a good magnesium supplement is the only thing that has helped the endless diarrhea. I am now down to just a day or two per week. My A1C is still above goal, last two were 8.2 and 9.4
This is a very complete video and easy to follow. Thank you for producing this. I am going to take Ozempic for the first time today. My A1C is 9.7. Metformin isn't working anymore, and I'm eager to improve my blood sugar.
I have been on victoza, trulicity and now ozempic. With every one of them I am rendered useless. Sick as a dog with weakness and nausea and basically not worth living. I'm so happy to hear other people are having such good results but I need to continue searching for my solution.
Have just started taking this drug for my Diabetes, I found the video helpful on how to use it. I also appreciated that you cut through a lot of the hype and discussed the side effects as you saw them based on your practice. Really appreciated the advice, demonstrations, and frank discussion. Thankfully here in Australia we can get it for just $30 per month thanks to our government health subsidies. However, it has been hard to get for a few months.
Your tutorial is the best! I had massive angst about giving myself a needle, but you talked me through the whole thing, and after the injection I thought, "Is that all there is?" Thank you so much!
I've been on Ozempic for 8 weeks. Dosage is 0.5 mgm. Good results from blood work. But still having side effects. Bloating, nausea, & constipation. I need the control of A1C & cholesterol best than it's been in 30 years. But ruining social life. Feel sorry for my husband. He's been great.
I’ve been on Ozempic for 6 weeks now. My only side effect has been constipation. But once I started taking the Metformin that my dr also prescribed, the side effects of both meds really leveled each other out. My numbers have dropped from mid 200s to low 100s and in combination with a lower-carb diet and increased activity, I’ve lost 20 pounds.
@@brittleva9977 wow. I had nausea, fullness constipation in beginning nausea fullness lower appetite started todecrease after first few days of shot. Now couple months in, Horrible smelly burps ,bloating to then Horrible diarrhea like 2 nights later , not well couple days.
Hello, I'm 32 years old and I took Ozempic, not knowing I had a stomach ulcer. I was so sick for a year. I had horrible sulphur burps like hiccups for a YEAR. I thew up everything I ate and the cramps were unbearable. My doctor couldn't figure out if it was Ozempic making me so sick or if I had H.Pylori. I eventually stopped taking Ozempic and finally figured out that i had an Ulcer. I started medications for that and now that the ulcer is fully healed, I'm starting Ozempic all over again. So far, the symptoms aren't as bad as they were the first time around and i'm feeling hopeful. :)
I started ozempic 3 months ago. Not only did my A1C drop from 6.3 to 5.7 in the first month but I have lost 20 pounds as well! I was taking metformin for years but the side effects finally got to me. They were constant diarrhea and nausea. Metformin made me a prisoner to my home. Now I have the freedom to leave my house without fear of diarrhea ruining my life. So glad my doctor recommended ozempic! What a life changer it was for me! Also, I don’t have any side effects!
Your presentation was worthwhile, Thank you. Clear and concise. The literature, my endo, the diabetes educator all mentioned diarrhea and vomiting. HOWEVER no one talked about the severity of diarrhea and vomiting or how to manage food intake to decrease the risk of these horrible episodes. I have found it is important to pay attention when I start feeling full. Sometimes that can be after three bites. At that point stop eating until the full feeling passes & eat a little more or stop eating until later. There have been times my blood sugar was low, in the 60's, and I felt if I ate I would vomit. I was able to take 4-6 glucose tablets to bring the glucose level up. Have also found Healthy Choice meals are just about the right quantity of food for me for one meal. I can't quite finish the meal, so leave it and finish about an hour later. I have lost 35 pounds in 6 weeks and plan to continue with Ozempic hoping things get easier,
As much as I hate Lantus, these side effects make me want to avoid them. I get nasty gastrointestinal effects from metformin so unfortunately I can’t take that.
I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes It took me three weeks to get the medication, do the back locks and it sat in my fridge for one week while I debated taking it because I was already getting my numbers down on my own after making a few minor adjustments to my diet and I was doing well but my doctor insisted that I take it because I wasn’t gonna be able to control a random spikes. Regrettably on July 1 I took my first .25 dose. The absolute worst mistake of my life within an hour. I ended up in the emergency room. The ER doctors were wonderful and they shared with me there discussed on the hype over this medication and I’m not even on it for weight loss, but strictly for diabetes and they’ve seen many people sick on this medication. I had a severe allergic reaction to it. I’m so angry that I went against my gut feeling and took it when I came home, I grabbed all the medication in my fridge and threw it in the trash. I sent a message to my doctor to let her know that I ended up in the ER and I was going to do this on my own without medication. I simply cannot imagine people taking this drug for weight loss. I understand that they are desperate to lose weight, but the long-term effects per the ER doctors are scary. I’m equally upset with pharmaceutical companies that push the stuff and mislead people. I’m still sick and I can’t eat anything which has become detrimental as I’m diabetic. My stomach hurts and I just feel overall horrible and there’s no way to flush this out of your system faster the ER doctor said I will probably not feel great for another month but there’s no such thing as flushing Ozempic out of your system. Never again will I go against my gut feeling. My neighbors daughter used it to lose weight after having a baby I couldn’t even believe it but now she can’t get the medication because her insurance company will only cover it with a diagnosis of diabetes and it’s very expensive without insurance, and she is already going back to her old ways of gaining weight and then some. Ozempic is just a crutch. Once you get off of it, the doctor is right away it will come back, unless you make strict modifications in your life and stick to them. Sadly, many people have a fast food mentality. They want to lose weight fast that they gained steadily over the years and years of bad eating habits. Doing it with this medication is definitely a roll of the dice with your life. The best thing I did with all of the Ozempic I had was throw it in the trash and never look back. I wish everyone well but please please be very careful just because it may appear to be working now. Doesn’t mean it will long-term this drug is very unpredictable per the ER doctors ♥️🙏🏻
I am 63 & have been on Ozempic for 2 months for weight loss for upcoming brain surgery & I am diabetic, my food intake hasn't changed much but the weight is falling off me, as of today at my dr's appointment I have officially lost 10kgs. I am very fortunate that it only costs me $6.70 per pen in Australia. I have had no side effects. The only issue really is I don't have any clothes that fit, I didn't realise how big everything I had looked on me until I saw a photo of me wearing my comfy leggings which were baggy & looked awful, I am personally blown away by how much weight has just dropped off & I also have Hashimoto's Disease, my thyroid doesn't work at all. I also don't crave chocolate anymore which I am very pleased about.
@alicecain4851 - So very nice of you to say, but no it didn't go well, I have what is called "an acquired brain injury" - neurological problems. It turned a year since the op on the 18th September, my room # was 18, I was taken back to the theatre on the 18th October & the previous surgery was on the 18th Jan 2019. I think you can see why I'm a little paranoid of # 18. Thank you again for your comment.
I am so happy I was put on Ozempic! Lost 30 lb so far and was not taking for weight loss and A1C is 5.1 so happy! I’m in Ontario Canada and thankfully it is covered by ODSP! Game changer for diabetes!so thankful my Dr suggested it. I have nausea but it passes
What dosage of Ozempic are you taking. Do you have frequent urination problems. I am already on Ozempic for 10 weeks and still frequently urinating and my blood sugars are 13, even though I stopped snacking and eat 2 small meals a day. I am wondering if my dosage is too small. Any help you can share with me would be appreciated. Thanks
I am just starting Ozempec. This video was SO HELPFUL as I was confused on how to use it! I wasn't instructed on how to dial up the dosage. Wish me luck! ...and Thank you very much🤗
I just got my Ozempic today. 3 boxes. According to the paperwork, my copay was going to be $75 and it said my insurance saved me $2902.99!!!! In my humble opinion, that is an abomination and Walgreens should be investigated for inflating prices to those with private insurance. But I digress. Luckily, I found a coupon on the Ozempic website that brought my copay down to $25!! Now THAT I can do. Thank you for this video. I was so nervous about sticking myself and you helped me brave it out. Here's to finally getting below 7.0!!!
My Ins approved. Just picked up today. Will make Sunday my injection day. I'm also taking diabetes med in a pill form. Segluromet 7.5/1,000 twice a day with Glimepiride 2 mg. My endocrinologist wanted me off the Glimepiride as it causes you to gain weight. My PCP put me on it. Well anyway, wish me luck. Ill check back in a couple weeks.
I'm 81 and a type 2 diabete I have been taking Actos for 31 years. I started Ozempic 6 months ago my account is down to 5.8. I have bad diarrhea on the average of 1 day a week but my blood sugar is in complete control. My weight loss has been 8 lbs but I was not over weight when I started Ozempic
Excellent! You may have heard that there are currently clinical trials underway studying the effect of Ozempic in NASH. Should be interesting to see when the results become available.
I’ve been on ozempic for 6 months. I’ve lost just over 50 lbs. waiting on my a1c update. I do have nausea but it’s manageable. I also have gastro and diarrhea issues. When my stomach gets bad I stretch my dose from every 7 days to 10 to let my stomach heal. Diarrhea is only the first 2 days after my dose.
On week 2...haven’t weighed myself yet, but intend to tomorrow. My appetite is a bit suppressed, can’t hold down as much food as I used to (which is GOOD), sweet cravings kinda stopped as well. Sometimes (maybe a couple of times a day) my stomach will feel queasy for a few min, I just pop a saltine in my mouth. Eating a lot of apples and not constipated like some ppl complained about. Energy is ok, still working out 3x a week. I get it in🇲🇽 and paid $162 or $172 for it. I’m pretty happy with it.
I've been on .25 for 3 weeks now. Did great the first week, no sides effects. Second and third week developed gas that smells like rotten egg and have increased flatulence. I'm so hoping this subsides because it has decreased my appetite and my testing shows much better.
I don't have diabetes, but I am insulin resistant. I started Ozempic three weeks ago. My appetite is greatly reduced, and I've been losing two pounds a week without even trying. I'm looking forward to increasing my dosage soon.
I am so glad I found your video. I have been on Ozempic for past 4 weeks now at the lowest dose. So far the only side effects I have experienced are some nausea and gas. But it is manageable. I am pleased so far as the results are noticeable. Lower appetite, not feeling hungry all the time. I know I am loosing weight as my clothes size is dropping! I have been a type 2 diabetic for many years and this is the first time I feel like a diabetes medication is actually working. I had lap band surgery a few years ago and after 4 years in had it removed. It did not work as well as this Ozempic. I am excited to see how this is going to go. I am due to go up to the 0.5 this coming weekend. Just wish I had found your video sooner because to get any useful help in the beginning I had to contact my sister in law who is a nurse practitioner and is also on Ozempic. I was a little lost about using the pen at first because I could not feel the needle or the medication going in. Anyway so far I love this pen and medication better than taking the other pills. And it works! Yeah! Thanks for your video and keep them coming!
I am late to the party apparently! This video was amazingly informative. I started Ozempic about a month and a half ago. Zero side effects! (Hope I didn’t just jinx myself!). I’ve lost about 8 pounds so far and my typical reading has gone from between 12 & 13 to about 7 to 8. My morning readings were around 10 but now they are between 7 and 8 also. I haven’t yet reached the 1 MG dose yet so I am assuming it will help even more! I’m in Canada and I do not have to pay for mine. When my doctor prescribed it for me, it had to go through an approval process with Manitoba Health called EDS (Exception Drug Status). Thank you so much for providing this very informative video. I’ve subscribed!
I've been using ozempic since June. First 3 months I had a lot of nausea and diarrhea and sulfur burps. The nausea doesn't occur as often but those awful sulfur burps continue. Taking pepto helps a lot. My a1c went from 11 to 6.1 by August. As of today 12/19/20 I've lost 39lbs. I get an AIC check on Monday. I had previously taken lantus which made me gain close to 50lbs. I was then switched to Tresiba and lost the weight. My insurance the drug formulary and stopped covering Tresiba and I started gaining the weight again. After a year they started covering Tresiba again but I was having problems taking the weight off until I started ozempic. I'm thankful for Ozempic!
I’ve been on Ozempic for 5-months working up to 1mg dosage and lost 25lbs very quickly. My A1C is down 1.5 points. Side effects were total loss of appetite, food smelling badly, and the nausea often, especially in the first 2-months. I’m a Canadian over 65-yes of age, so thankfully our government health insurance covers the cost. I would highly recommend Ozempic to assist in controlling diabetes.
I used Ozempic for awhile and I did lose a lot of weight when using it. But if you don't have insurance it's grotesquely expensive. Also, even at just .25 the intestinal side effects were so bad that I couldn't leave the house or even exercise. I was sick literally ALL the time and couldn't eat anything even remotely resembling a vegetable, because they are naturally gas producing and the side effects would get worse.
Slow gastric emptying is something folks need to consider. Are there any nutrient deficiencies caused by the medication? Does it lower acid secretion (raise pH) which will lead to many issues downstream? Many questions for sure.
My questions exactly, what can be good about slowing down our digestive system causing stomach paralysis and bowel movements causing constipation? Can't your body become toxic from that? Please talk about the side effects.
Been 4 weeks with Ozempic, my blood sugar never been this good for almost 2 years!! Went from 15mmol to 5.7mmol this morning!! Really helps with my cravings as I didnt really feel hungry all the time like I use too!
My doc put me on Victoza back in the spring of 2016. My A1c was 10.5! While the side effects were brutal during the first month, they also gave me the opportunity to cut out all carbs, sugars, and diet sodas mainly because I couldn’t keep any food down except yogurt. Lol Once I got past that first month, which I wouldn’t have been able to do if I hadn’t been between jobs, I was able to change my eating habits and started to see amazing results. In 9 months I went from an A1c of 10.5 to 5.9. My blood sugar stabilized. I lost 80 pounds, and went from a size 22 to a size 8!! And I felt amazing! After a year I notice the weight loss plateaued, but my blood sugar stayed on track. Then at the beginning of this year the previous insurance company stopped covering Victoza. 😩 My cravings came back with a vengeance, I began to gain weight, and my numbers began to rise. Then we changed insurance companies and the new company didn’t cover Victoza either! 😩 By June my A1c at 8.5! I did some research and found Ozempic, which the new company would cover with a PA from my doctor. That has taken almost 2 months to get approved but finally I picked up my first pen yesterday. I am looking forward to getting back on track and feeling better again. It is amazing how horrible you feel when your blood sugar isn’t in control. Wish me luck!!
@@projectalice8119 I found it made me a bit tired for a couple of days. Mind you not all side effects are listed in clinical trials. Just the most common ones. Tiredness I guess wasn’t common.

Typically they build up to a dose that high as far as I know. Did the side effects subside?
Really
That a very high dose to start. Not surprised you had bad nausea.
He said the max dose was 1mg
That was terrible to start you at that dose! Hope it didn’t hurt your pancreas.
Just started Ozempic. I have diabetes but this was also prescribed for weight loss. I got my medicine for free thank goodness. Hope it works for me
UPDATE??
Why not me 🤔😪
Good for you, amazing testimony. Very encouraging.
@@philparekh1114 I pay $10 for Ozempic.
YAHOO!!
How are the side effects for you?
I did not have any trouble with vomiting at all. I've just not had any desire to eat! (By the way, I've never been a big eater, I don't binge eat or snack. My problem was I was eating way to many carbs/sugers. Like 1-2 cokes per week, had potatoes at dinner with meat and veggie, ate bread if I had lunch with chips.
Since being on Ozempic, I have changed WHAT I ATE!
Low carbs and low sugers is the new way I eat. It really isn't hard for me. As for today, I'm down 50 lbs.
Hi Sherrie,
I hope Ozempic has continued to work well for you and that you're feeling good. 🍀 ☘️ 🍀
Thank you 😊
How long did it take?
I have used it during almost one week, on my 5th day. I feel good, a bit nausea only. Lost cravings. I am so hopeful that this will curve overeating and craving for icecream. I am very grateful to my doctor who perscrived this medication to me.

I thought it was a very good video, also.
How long do you think the Gastro problems will last? I’ve had them before and now they’re back just the last two weeks.
Did you change your food intake ?thank you i start today

@@shirleyoldham8773 I would try everything to stick it out the side effects gets better. The lack of energy hit me hard at first but that was to do with my food intake dropping drastically. I'm now six months in 100lb down and with blood at none diabetic levels
I'm glad it worked out for you, Michael.

I was looking for a "How to," and yours was MUCH better than the one I watched first.
Yours was much longer, but also better. You went over all of my questions and answered so many questions I didn't even know to ask.
Thank you!
I was just prescribed ozempic and your video was helpful in reducing my anxiety about taking it. Thank you
I was a bit freaked out but I took my first shot today and it's way easier and no big deal, compared to how I thought it would be.
I was given Ozempic to help reduce my a1c back in October. I weighed 223 when started now I weigh 172. It's amazing.
Hows was you diet, did u drink alcohol??
This is the review I needed to read!.. I didn't want to take the surgical route so this was my next option. I was rejected by my insurance. My doc waited 5 months to prescribe again and here I am about to take my first injection tomorrow. Praying for results like yours

Hi i just started mine .25 dose last week havent had any symptoms when do we see wait loss result after how long and what type of diet we have to follow
I watched this video as I administered my very first dose of Ozempic. Thank you for explaining the little dashes!! I was so lost 😳😂
I was on Mounjaro previously and suffered debilitating back pain, that stopped after I stopped taking it, then started again when I resumed.

Good luck 🍀, thanks
Are you diabetic? I’m not and I had stomach bypass surgery and gained weight again. People told me about ozenpic to lose it.
I got the most recent dose of Ozempic, but oddly, it's not having the same effect. I may try Rybelsus. There is a new one out called Tirzepatide
Thanks so much for this video. Today is my first dose and starting out with 0.5. I didn't feel the needle and you made it simple.

I was just diagnosed and have felt really overwhelmed. So thank you for your videos...
Best thing that has happened in my 25 years battling diabetes 2!
Me too! I made a similar comment! Good luck on your journey.
When you say the pen must be primed...what do you mean?
I noticed he forgot to mention the pen needs to be prime first time you use it. You should notice a small drop of medication when prime properly I noticed that small drop of medication when I attached a needle for the first time. Excellent tutorial.
I use Ozempic and love it. It has improved my A1C from 7.2 down to 6.2. The worse side effects are terrible gas, big huge burps, bloating. But after a couple months of using it, it has toned down quite a bit.
Here I am 3 years later and am appreciative of your video. Thanks!

Absolutely love this. I've been on Ozempic almost 4 weeks. I've lost 10 lbs. No more cravings. I eat healthier. And I am not hungry all the time.
PS. When taking the full dose ,make sure you serve yourself smaller portions (believe me,you'll be satisfied !)
Because I was used to serving myself a certain amount ,it gave me nausea. Once I got the point that I no longer needed that much food ,nausea went away.
You'll adjust.... You won't be hungry and will lose weight.
Very true!
I like to think of ozempic as “Antabuse for fat people” cuz if I eat too much it makes me sick
I eat less food now too. I’ve working on losing another 5 lbs.
@@FiorenzaCaetani wow congratulations

Actually even without drug by just fasting and little control on carbs. From 100kg now im down to 78kg.
Glad of your success! My problem is I’m not used to HAVING to eat. I’ve been watching what and how much for so long I am going Low. I’ve stopped all diabetic pills as I would drop to 56 and 57! So now just the .25 shot once/week and trying to remember to eat. 😍

I have been on Ozempic for two years and it is magic. I went from A1C of 8.6 to 5.4 and has maintained that level for 24 months. I had some side affects in the first 8 weeks but none since. It works for me.
2 years? I’ve been wondering if it continues to help dull your appetite after taking it for a long time. Does it still help you with that?
I started a.month and a half.ago
I'm type 2 biabetic and I was on 2 insulin and metforfin.

@@FELUTXI not at all
FELUTXI Hi, I've been on Ozempic since May 2020, i was prescribed it (on private prescription in the U.K, it's only available on NHS if you are diabetic which I wasn't ) because I was gaining weight despite being on a very low calorie healthy diet.
How long did it take to get down to the 5.5 because I just started on ozempic about a month ago so far so good?
It nearly killed me. In and out of hospital. Vomited and had diarrhea for 40 days. Finally figured out it was ozempic. Lucky to be alive.

My A1C is still above goal, last two were 8.2 and 9.4
Oh wow that’s great. Keep up the good work.
Ive have been waiting for 2 Years to get it
Your tutorial is the best!

Don’t forget to mention priming the pen before the first use!
I refused the metformin for that.
Great thanks for sharing.
I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes
It took me three weeks to get the medication, do the back locks and it sat in my fridge for one week while I debated taking it because I was already getting my numbers down on my own after making a few minor adjustments to my diet and I was doing well but my doctor insisted that I take it because I wasn’t gonna be able to control a random spikes. Regrettably on July 1
I took my first .25 dose.
Doesn’t mean it will long-term this drug is very unpredictable per the ER doctors

I hope your brain surgery went well!

Had the exact opposite issue. Was constipated almost immediately.
This will be my first time using this med. This was very informative and I think I will shock my doctor when I go in tomorrow for my lesson.

So ridiculous thT insulin makes you gain weight. Which increases/ causes diabetes. Like a vicious cycle. I refused the metformin and insulin.
I agree 100%!
Been 4 weeks with Ozempic, my blood sugar never been this good for almost 2 years!! Went from 15mmol to 5.7mmol this morning!! Really helps with my cravings as I didnt really feel hungry all the time like I use too!
I just started this. No side affects. Easy to use. I love it. My blood sugar is now normal
My doc put me on Victoza back in the spring of 2016. My A1c was 10.5!
While the side effects were brutal during the first month, they also gave me the opportunity to cut out all carbs, sugars, and diet sodas mainly because I couldn’t keep any food down except yogurt. Lol
Once I got past that first month, which I wouldn’t have been able to do if I hadn’t been between jobs, I was able to change my eating habits and started to see amazing results.
My cravings came back with a vengeance, I began to gain weight, and my numbers began to rise.
Then we changed insurance companies and the new company didn’t cover Victoza either! 😩
By June my A1c at 8.5!
You explained very well. I’ve used my pen twice now . 8/7/22 and 8/14/22
