"Hwarang: The Beginning" is such an AMAZING k-drama, I love it🩷 I watch many k-dramas and Hwarang is such a good historical drama, I have it in my top 5, it's based in truth events from SK history, it's a little different in the first episode, but then I just couldn't stop watching it, V's acting was so cute and funny, he's an amazing actor, he portrayed a complex character so well even tho it was his debut in acting... The actors are very famous people in SK, Kim Taehyung (BTS), Min Ho (Shinee), Park Hyunsik, Park Seojoon, I love the cast, they have amazing chemistry. Actually V's personal friendship group Wooga Squad, was formed thanks to this serie, V's closest friends are Hyunsik (actor), Seojoon (movie/drama actor), Choi Wooshik (winner Oscar actor) and Peakboy (singer, producer)✨️ So I definitely recommended to you ^^

A little salt on watermelon makes it taste sweeter and salt makes you salivate more, so it also seems juicier. Personally, I prefer watermelon without the salt.

Love that you're diving deeper into understanding the meaning behind BTS's lyrics and appreciating the cultural context, something that unfortunately not everyone takes time to do. All the BTS content out there (yes, including Hwarang lol) can seem overwhelming/intimidating, but it's worth it. Looking fwd to your journey.

Salt on watermelon is..... uhmm 😂 Learning new languages is indeed intimidating, but I think exposure eases you in. Watching so many kdramas and run bts episodes sometimes I feel like I can understand certain dialogues even without subs.

I'm OT7. But I love Jin's character the most. Jinhit always hit differently 🤣 he is so amajin. In Japanese song, his part will always be my favourite. I love JK's adlibs and harmonisation, how he can enhance the other members voice without overshadowing them, and "Still with you" will always be my forever song. I like Jhope's Rap, so unique and always giving a flavour to BTS's songs. His smile and laugh will always lighten up army's heart. Iam amaze with RM's lyricism, his work is a poem, a pure art, sometimes so beautiful, sometimes it can be so deep, how he can play with words, it's clearly shows his intelligence. I love Jimin's elegance and flexibility when he is dancing, so mesmerising, and his voice is so angelic. I love Suga's duality, he can be so savage, but he is co caring also especially to the youngest member. How he can be so blunt and aggressive in his music but he can be so wise also. I adore Tae, for his unique character. I never imagine with his deep voice he can be so cute n eccentric. 💜 I love them all. Each one of them are completing each other. BTS is 7

Paldogangsan originally was a predebut 2011 song called Satoori rap just by the rapline, suga who is from Daegu, jhope from jeolla gwangju and Joon from seoul. It was the same verses. The original version was featured on a short news segment on tv. In the 7 member bts version they just distributed the lines more. It's such a detailed song, there is a dkdktv video that gives context for the references in the song. If you watch it, it might get a little easier to spot the differences between their accents.

i'd really recommended watch the explained video for paldogangsan by dkdktv if you're interested in all the references being made even if it on your own time. It's a really fun song and even better when you understand it

About satoori, what I remember is that guys from Daegu (Suga) are the tough type lol, and the dialect sounds harsher I think 🤷🏻‍♀️ than other areas. JHope s dialect, from Jeolla region is said to be the most friendly, and as you noticed it sounds like it. Jimin and Jungkook are from Busan, while Jin and RM are from around Seoul and didn't grow up using satoori. Oh, and V has the same dialect as Suga also.

The two of you together works really well. You should do more reactions together. RM IQ148. We do not expect simple.When RM used the other parts of himself to climb from the underground the look on his face made me want to wrap him in a hug. It was very wierd its meant to be. Its inside the artists brain and hes been through an awful 14 months.

I've written before and maintain in a world of bland homogeneous pop. RM makes you stop and think. Its strangely addictive and after a 4th or 5th listen... its a favourite. In a world of fast fashion and fast pop designed more for the fast buck than art. RM is that rare breed. A successful artist with alot to lose who just wants to make music. He trusts that his fans are not stupid and will enjoy complex ideas, interesting sound scapes and music designed to provoke your own imagination not be disposable brain dead junk.

You commented on the fact that the guys are all just regular people but then you focused mainly on his career as being the subject of the song and video. This song and this album are about Namjoon Kim, not RM. He's talking about how he's lost in his own personal life. He doesn't know who he is or what he should do outside of BTS. He did a sort of interview with Jimin about the songs on the album and talked about how he spent the last 10 years focused on BTS and it was time for him to focus on himself. That's what he's doing with this album. He actually postponed his enlistment to work on this album. He was originally supposed to enlist with J-Hope, over a year ago, instead of just this past December.

20:10 Yes, they represent different “personas” of RM (Goofy RM, Anxious RM, Overconfident RM and Jaded RM -this was shared by one of the actors). A lot of BTS’s and of RM’s and Suga’s solo discography references or is influenced by Jungian psychology concepts like persona, shadow and ego.

Yes, he has two mixtapes (RM & mono) and another album called Indigo. All of them are different and very very good. He is still in the military, and yes, he did all of this in advance. (In fact, all of them left pre-recorded content. We have been treated to new songs/MVs, video messages, a movie, a docuseries, 2 albums, etc from different members. Just something new every few weeks). If you want to learn more about this particular album you might want to check out “MMM (Mini & Moni Music) on BTS channel BANGTANTV. There he shares his album for the first time with Jimin and they discuss the context of the album and what some songs are about.

Also, being stuck in the same place and coming back to the beginning, i.e. literally being stuck in a cycle is a metaphor that repeats itself in the video in different forms. Also, the "Lost Show" coukd be a parody on the Late Night Shows they were invited to, which were very much "a show". Both of you actually did a pretty better job than me! Also, The Bookish Theory did an explanation video for the song, which is really good and gives you a lot of clarity. You can watch it if you want to know more about the video. It woudk be fun if you could react to it as well. Also, there's this video of conversation between RM and Jimin that dropped the day before yesterday where RM talks about his latest album and you get to know his personality a little bit and the video makes so much sense. I don't think you caught it but in the skit, they played a beat that RM said that he didn't know what to do with it. That beat is the same one used for If I Ruled The World. I love the way they did that.

I still consider myself baby ARMY (11 months in the fandom) and do have a bias, but OT7 rules. BTS math is simple: 7=1; 7-1=0. The members have been very clear that every member is needed and how much they're looking forward to their reunion after their military service in 2025. The lives of celebrities/idols already bring scrutiny with them. I don't need to know about their personal lives to appreciate their artistry. As long as they're happy, healthy, and enjoying their art, I'm grateful for that. I enjoy your reactions. I hope you're doing okay.

One thing you'll always get from BTS is tight harmonization. Like they have it on lock which is something I really appreciate cause most times in K-pop it's usually stand-alone vocals which isn't bad but BTS’s style is elite to me🥰
