    I find your English quite understandable. Thank you for your instruction. What others miss in their videos is how to prepare the vinyl before painting, and yours covered that topic. It will help me get started on my new reborn kit sooner.🙂

    Im not quite done with this first video, and I just have to say THANK YOU!!! Im working on my first doll, having an issue with streaking and odd patchiness and knew it was likely an issue of paint translucency and mix, so I went in search of videos to explain the process. I watched 8 "Reborning with Acrylic" videos and series of videos and rewatched all my "paid for" reborning painting tutorials, and couldnt quite find what I needed after days of effort. Your one short video showed me exactly what I needed, and taught me more about the actual composition of those watery layers, and how to ensure they bind well, and build to a lifelike finish than all the others combined! So, seriously... thanks so much for the thorough explaination. I've got Golden paints in my Amazon cart, and will try the Primary method going forward... makes so much more sense than buying 15 different mottling and flesh tones. Cant wait to check out your other content! And PS.... your English is fantastic, and much, much better than my French! Decades after school, and all I can remember of my French classes are names of school supplies, and the first few bars of the French National anthem. ;)

      Thank you so much! I am glad that my video could help you! Getting the right consistency with acrylic can be tricky, it takes some practice to get the right ratio of paint, medium and water. Mixing our own color and using primary colors gives us more control over the results we want to achieve.
      You can thanks TH-cam for teaching me how to speak english 😄

      @@leabellenurserie hah! So wild to learn English from TH-cam! Clever you! Your videos have already helped me so much! I've had MUCH more luck using the Golden Fluid Matte Medium and Golden Satin Glazing liquid as mediums than the RebornFX mediums I was using before. I'm gradually replacing my paints with Golden as well Still experimenting with Primary color method, and hope to be using it exclusively by my next doll. Huge thank you, again!!

    Do you have to apply the primer between each layer or just before and after painting?

    • @leabellenurserie
      @leabellenurserie  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You just need to apply it first before painting. When you're done, you use a varnish. You can add a layer of primer during painting if the kit has a lot of defects, has trouble to take paint or if the paint is beading.

    • @leabellenurserie

      The primer is Americana adhésion medium. Some have mix results with Fokart glass and tie, even cracking sometimes.

  • @madbornstudio
    @madbornstudio หลายเดือนก่อน

    Why do you use medium in your paint? Have you tried without?

    • @leabellenurserie
      @leabellenurserie  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Medium is very important to keep the paint integrity. If you only use water, the pigments of the paint can break (not enough binders). It will result in fading of the paint and less adhesion to the vinyl. When I started reborning I only used water and had so much trouble! Medium changed the game!

    You're video has been helpful but to clarify, sorry I'm sure you said it just verifying. As a Primer to make paint stick to vinyl reborn what do you use? Also, can any acrylic paint be used or is it a certain brand? I am new to reborning & would appreciate your assistance. Most ppl are using Genesis Heat Set Paints but I prefer Air Dry Acrylic but want to make sure I'm getting the correct acrylic paint. Thanks again ☺️

    • @leabellenurserie
      @leabellenurserie  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi ! I prefer RebornFX primer, sold by MacPherson. Some brand of paint has their primer too, like Golden. The medium can be used as a primer too. Any brand of paint that is artist quality can do, like Golden, Liquitex, JoSonjas, etc. Avoid craft paint, they are not enough pigmented and can fade over time. A lot of artists uses airdry or switch to airdry, it's becoming more and more popular. Have fun !
