I am making my reborn tomorrow and what I'm doing is getting realistic limbs and head, getting a fabric body, poly fil, and small glass beads and then I'm filling the limbs and body and head with small glass beads and filler and attaching them together like you showed me and BAM reborn baby!! (This may not be the "actual way" but Idc it's my opinion of a reborn and I'm EXCITED!)

As somebody who has been in this hobby since the age of 10,I honetly think that i may begin making babies,My mom thinks i'd be good at it because I am a massive Perfectionist and notice EVERYTHING under the sun that's incorrect.
Ive already assembled various Berenguer(I cant spell words) Dolls,So the biggest hump for me would be learning to paint and root them,I Believe.

Good tutorial for those wanting to learn,looking at the kit and the body i think its wrong those are not full legs they have no side rounded thigh they are the same as the arms, body should have had cloth part of upper leg down to the legs like the arms x
You can look up the doll kit and see it’s meant to have full legs and came with this exact body….

Great video, but did I miss the bit with Mod Podge? What was that used for? Thanks.
It was used to create shine and to seal paint on lips and nails. I also use it to seal hair such as the eyelashes that i rooted :P
so what kind of paints do you use? I see you said you use a paint thinner which would lead me to believe its an oilbased paint? which I would assume is probably best to use as you can create way more colours,tones and shades but doesnt the long drying time make using oil paint on a doll problematic? tho i guess since your using more thinner than paint the paint thinner must help speed up drying time hey? unless its acrylic in which case there's no reason to use paint thinner over water.... sorry for the weird questions ive never painted a doll before but i am an artist who specializes in photo realism artwork usually on canvas and im really fascinated by this.

Do u just use for the eye lashes just a regular sewing needle? And also do you have to have eye lashes on a reborn or is that optional? Anyways thank you so much this helped me a lot!! Thanks to you I am now painting a reborn! ❤️👍💕
I use felting needles, sewing needles will just poke holes in the vinyl. Eyes lashes are your preference, but it does add a lot of realism.
My dolls always seem chalky, I heard was thinner so I bought Bob Ross not cheap ,no change mmmmm!

I love this video it taught me majority alot how to make a baby, ok what if you have a gas stove can you use a gas stove and what temperature to put it on and for how long to bake it . I need to know also how to painted so well to make the silicone baby looks real and brought to life , and what are the names of the paintings to use and mix well to bring it to life.and how much does each material cost
hi can you tell me what type and strength size ect of the magnets you USE I have tried two different one's 10mm×2mm and they don't hold enuff TIA and thanx so much 4 the tutorial it's been of great help noted a few tips lol ❣
I used earth magnets, I have no knowledge of magnet strength.
For the glass pallet the dollar tree has something extremely similar for a dollar .... I have one that I use for paint

I've seen other videos where the person made the body parts in molds -- do you also make them too? If so, do you have a video on making doll parts ?
That is most likely silicone dolls, here I am making vinyl reborn dolls. Silicones use different tools and paints. Sorry!

I love this! I have done one and I sent the Artist for hair which she pasted. Later on will I want her rooted. Do you know of a starter kit that includes all the paint. I have already have the two different doll.

What do you set the baby on in the oven? Do you have a stand or just a baking sheet?

Virginia Jackson that is completely your preference, you don’t have to, but they help the joints turn which is helpful for posing! Hope this helped!
Hi, just wanted to know a couple of things. First you said you baked it. Did you put it in the oven? If so how long for and what was the temperature.
i use a nuwave oven and bake on number 6 for about 11 minutes
For conventional oven (kitchen oven) I lay the kit on a cookie sheet with a folded white (non dyed) towel, I bake at 265 degrees Fahrenheit for 8-9 minutes. For a table top oven such as a Nuwave you can use number 6 for 8-12 minutes, checking often ( this is only for the first edition Nuwave). For the second edition Nuwave I do the same as conventional oven but instead of a cookie sheet I just put the white non dyed towel on the bottom of the oven floor pan.
Do you have to use sea sponges for the purple and red step(s)? And do you have to use the paint used in this video, instead can you use air dry paint and still bake and everything like in the video?

What painting set do you suggest?
When you explain which color to use for the nail you say to use the left over purple mottling color which is also the left over purple creases color, when making the purple mottling color you use purple eyelid but when you make the purple creases color (around the 1h mark) you say that you use the color creases. So for the creases do you actually use the color creases or the color purple eyelid?
+Katelyn jones It is mostly the same color actually. I I used eyelid purple for mottling and the nails, and the creases for the creases. Sorry for the confusion!

Phyllis A Seguin mode podge can be used for sealing lips and nails along with hair that’s rooted.

Lunaslife riverslife some people just use a regular oven but I prefer a nu wave oven. P.S. I don't use Genesis heat set paints, I use acrylics so this is just off of what some of the professional painters say. I hope this helps
is it true to mix the color with liquid water?
Nadia Nurhaliza if it was water colors.... these paints are permanent and are oil based so the water will not thin it, it will separate it and clump it up. Use odorless paint thinner.

you can mix your own paints but i have never heard of anyone making them.
for me, i love mixing the colors. i think that is what art is all about.

Unfortunately I have to agree with you. There is a lot of greed in the community and I hate that people think they are entitled to get a free reborn that takes weeks to make. Sad :(
I agree. It irritates me to the point sometimes that on other channels, I have gone to writing comments to these people like, "You can get one if you PAY for it!" Really?! And then there are the sob stories. "Oh, I can't have kids so I would love to have one," (hint hint). Yeah, you can totally get as many reborns as you want--if you want to PAY for them! Ugh!
I think most of those commenting like that are kids. There are the obvious pathetic adults but most are kids under 13 that need to be watched by their parents or have the comments disabled.
