No it’s not. On the contrary, usually chess players have tons of annoying “habits” to distract you and make you feel uncomfortable. With a fríend you Know you can relax and focus on the game. You do feel bad though if your friend blunders or has a bad day and plays worse that usual. It’s sometimes hard to actívate your killer instinct against a friend.

Just a quick tip Anna. When Eric almost made that blunder where you could fork his two rooks, you grabbed your pen and were ready to start writing the move. Don't ever do that! Eric saw that and then stopped his move and changed his mind. Stay calm if you see an advantage and just be quiet and don't move a finger!
I'm a big Eric Rosen fan. I discovered Anna because of Eric's channel. What an amazingly small world that these two played over the board in an open tournament in Iceland.
Anna, you are scary... I have never seen someone so enthusiastically explain such complex subjects like it is second nature. You are one of my favourite content creators overall

The Trompowsky was named after Octavio Trompowsky, a Brazilian chess player. I went online and though 'Trompowsky' is pronounced in various ways in various dialects, the Portuguese (Brazilian) pronunciation seemed to be /trompovski/ or /tromposki/ from what I could find. So I feel like you were pronouncing it closer to right initially.
As a Slovenian I was told multiple times that I was pronouncing Pirc defence the wrong way because I said [pɪrts] instead of the americanized [pɜrk]. Like he was born 80km from where I was born, so shouldn't I know? ^^
That's because the name isn't Portuguese. The name itself came from Polish-Brazillian immigrants and is Polish. And if it still matter, yes, we would say trompovski/tromposki, very close to Anna's old pronunciation. But even he might have pronunced his name differently and Levy's pronunciation is just, well, English.
9:00 thank you Anna for this new word "atrocious". I'm also not an native english speaker (I'm german) and I learnt something new here :-). I like this word and I will use it in the future to describe my chess posotions :-). Btw. It is great that you was paired with Eric Rosen. Fantastic!
I don’t know that there’s a more wholesome and lovable personality in the chess scene than you, Anna. People will always root for you. Eric played a great game though, it was basically a forgone conclusion right out the opening when he stayed accurate and solid and shut the attack down. Respect for the way you never took your foot off the gas in spite of that, kept posing threats, and most of all provided an analysis between games!
Excellent commentary thanks Anna. Your mother's live commentary was amazingly good, please thank her as well! She gave a whole lot of detailed analysis all through the game explaining in simple terms just how a top grandmaster thinks. I liked the 0-0-0 idea for two reasons: your pawn structure dictates it, the opponent’s attack with the BB-pair was oriented toward your K-side… good game!
