The V1 K-series Swivel style thermostat housing has gotten a very bad reputation due to a faulty thermostat. But in this video, I show yall that with a B-series stan thermostat, the problems are no more. This is by far the best budget option compared to upgrading to the V2 and V3 style that would cost you $200

@alwyzjwalkn you want the engine to get to operating Temps running t cool is not good for the engine same goes with to hot. Ideally the k engine runs around 195 to 220 °that's normal

Tried a couple of these without any luck so I went with hybrid racing V2 and that solves my leaky issue.
So far so good no leaks
Question! Did you ever run this setup with a half side radiator? And did you have any overheating issues?
I'm using a full size so far is been doing good. With the half size, you would have to get a very strong pulling CSF fan to help you dissipate heat and upgrade your thermostat, and you should be good. But the full size in my option dissipates more heat.
someone suggested this thermostat housing to me on the k20a fb group. i ended up going with a type s thermostat housing but a few people said this one works fine.
I love this setup dosent break the bank, and it is super affordable. I first did this set up back on July 2022, with no issues.
Mine leaked like crazy! I was wondering if u can put the swivel thermostat fit in the oem thermostat housing?
Yes, you can mount the aluminum swivel thermostat part to the plastic housing. That's how I've been running it with zero issues.

Yo, I'm not sure if I didn't put enough tape and/or tighten the neck enough but it leaked on me at first, I got paranoid and liquid gasketed it all over and no more leaks 😅😂

Exactly, I also got that thermostat based on the reviews and even though I haven't driven the RSX much it seems to keep temp and it was easy to bleed the coolant, maybe 30 min max, so first impressions is that it works great at a great price
