Great video. I've been looking for a commuter car and am getting ready to pull the trigger on a 2010 Civic. This was a great wealth of information from someone with firsthand knowledge.
I love this car, this is my first car, I bought this car around 8k from a dealership when it's 89k miles, now its 146k miles, still runs good but just some body maintainance like the plastic rubber around windows. I drove from East Coast to West Coast just for $350 of gas refill.
I bought mine with around 150k miles and I still runs like a dream! I’ve seen other people have problems with the window rubber but it hasn’t affect me yet. $350 from coast to coast is amazing!
Yes and I just made it last month when the gas price was peak !!!!! Its amazing. Please share more how you maintain the outside look for more several years

I have an 04 Pilot and the arm rest does exactly the same. I have never felt so understood before 😂
Honda repainted all of my faded paint a few years ago for free as part of a recall, Honda even loaned me a brand new Honda Civic for a few weeks! I love this car I've had it for over 11 years, I've only replaced a drive axle and motor mount, as far as major things, and my inside rearview mirror is doing the same thing as yours, lol, it might be too late but you should check your VIN number against Honda recalls for the paint. Did every 2010 Civic have the paint problem?
@@tigergreg8 No I don't believe so, it was only certain vehicles, you can check online using VIN for recalls, but I think the paint recall has expired, I remember getting a bunch of letters and notices about it, so Honda does make an effort to notify the owner.

i'm a year late but i'm watching this cuz i just got mine 3 days ago and it's the 2010 lx with 186k miles on it so i wanted to see what i was dealing with and allat and i love that you added what it had cost you so far so now ik what to look at, cause i have the same problem with my center console and my A/C don't come through my top vents but only the bottom feet ones,
i intend getting this as my first ever Car sometimes in November. in fact, I don't really know how to drive at the moment.
can i go for this or there are better options?
Very good option for first car. I wish it was my first car. Good on gas and very easy to drive.
should i get one with 200,000 miles ????
I just hit 200,000 a couple months ago and no issues. Just make sure to have it checked by a mechanic before you buy!
