    Once upon a time in the quaint little town of Lensville, old Grandpa Jenkins sat on his weathered wooden porch, his wrinkled skin bronzed by years of working under the sun. His faded denim overalls hung loosely from his thin frame, and the frayed straw hat perched atop his wispy white hair seemed to defy gravity. Slowly rocking back and forth in his trusty rocking chair, the creaking sound of its worn-out joints sang the song of countless summers.
    At Grandpa Jenkins' feet lay his loyal dog Bessie, her fur a patchwork of browns and blacks, a living quilt of love and devotion. Her one ear perpetually flopped, while the other stood at attention, as if always ready to listen to the world around her. Bessie's wise brown eyes sparkled with curiosity, and the scruff of her chin sported a few silver whiskers that gave her a distinguished air.
    As Grandpa Jenkins sipped his ice-cold lemonade, condensation dripping down the glass, he began to recount a story that had been passed down through generations. It was a tale of two great cameras, the legendary Sony ZV-E10 and the Sony ZV-E1. These cameras were rumored to be as profound as they were funny, having been the heart and soul of Lensville for as long as anyone could remember.
    The people of Lensville were known to be quite peculiar and had a penchant for embracing the unconventional. One of the town's most famous characters was ol' Bolt Bill, a gentle giant of a man who always wore a baseball cap with an enormous bolt fastened through the bill. The sight of Bill's hat was a source of great amusement to the townsfolk, and it was said that every time the sun hit the shiny metal bolt, it would create a glint so bright it could blind a man for a moment.
    Now, one fine day, a man from out of town decided to visit the serene lake near Lensville to enjoy some peaceful fishing. He settled down by the water's edge, casting his line and taking in the beauty of the surroundings. Little did he know that his day was about to take a turn for the bizarre.
    Just as he was beginning to doze off to the sound of the gently lapping waves, a streak of nakedness burst forth from the woods. The man was taken aback as the nude figure leaped over his head, just narrowly missing his fishing hat. He could only watch, wide-eyed and slack-jawed, as the strange figure disappeared back into the dense foliage, leaving him wondering if it had all been a dream.
    Back on the porch, Grandpa Jenkins' eyes twinkled with mischief as he continued his story, the sun casting playful shadows on his weathered face. Bessie raised her floppy ear, her curious brown eyes gazing up at her owner, as if urging him to go on. The old man leaned forward in his rocking chair, the wood groaning in protest, and with the enthusiasm of a master storyteller, he explained how the remarkable Sony ZV-E10 and ZV-E1 cameras had captured the hilarious and unexpected encounter at the lake.
    The townsfolk of Lensville had gathered around to watch the footage, erupting in laughter as they witnessed the bewildered fisherman and the naked man's acrobatics. The cameras had done their job, immortalizing the peculiarities and laughter that defined their town, and further cementing their legendary status.
    As the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky with hues of orange and pink, Grandpa Jenkins finished his tale, a warm smile playing on his lips. The laughter lines around his eyes deepened, revealing the joy and wisdom of a life well-lived. Bessie, now yawning and stretching her legs, nuzzled her grizzled old friend, her whiskered chin brushing against his worn-out boots. The laughter, love, and peculiarities of Lensville were the lifeblood of the town, and no matter how many times the story was told, it never ceased to bring joy and wonder to those who listened.
    With a contented sigh, Grandpa Jenkins leaned back in his rocking chair, feeling the cool evening breeze ruffle his thin white hair. Bessie, her tail thumping softly on the wooden porch, curled up at his feet, her head resting on her paws. The old man and his faithful companion sat together in the twilight, the memories of the day's story lingering like the scent of honeysuckle on the wind.
    And as the stars began to twinkle overhead, casting their gentle light on the sleepy town of Lensville, it was clear that the legend of the Sony ZV-E10 and ZV-E1 cameras would live on in the hearts of the townsfolk, a testament to the power of laughter, the beauty of the unexpected, and the love shared between a man and his dog.

      Thank you, Mark. I was waiting for this comparison, specially made with your easy-to-watch casual/funny and at the same time technical style.
      The negatives of ZV-E10 that most bother me are: streaming at the humble 720p; poorer 1080p even compared to my current ZV-1, and the cropped video of APS-C will require a wider lens than the great 35mm Sony prime (I liked both of your videos on it), which is another reduction in quality. But, hey, why all this money if not spent on good gear! :)

    The video we’ve all been waiting for has finally arrived!
    I use my ZVE10 as a webcam up to 8 hours a day during the week and I never had any overheating problems with it. I could point out more issues on the ZVE1, but the reality is that I can’t afford a full frame setup😅😢, yet.

      I've said before, the E1 overheating is such a big limiting factor. I do the same with my E10 using all day with a Cam Link as a webcam and to record directly in Camtasia or OBS. No overheating, not once. And even shooting in summer in Arizona outside. No issues, though I do tend to shoot shorter clips and try to keep it shaded.

      @@mylogify yes, i use the high temperature and no, i don’t use air plane mode. If you connect it p a macbook, it can provide enough energy to keep the battery at 100%. When i connect to either my pc or my dell notebook, it discharges slowly during usage. Still useful on both!

      @xhenriquefps ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Chaelaz the A7C is a much better option as a webcam than the E1. Cheaper and no overheating. It may not output 4K via usb streaming, but neither google meet or teams support 4K video so o does not matter.

    I do stuff at Amusement Parks. Having a GoPro Hero 10 and ZVE-10 is the perfect setup for me. For the vlogs, having the kit lens and the Ulanzi WL-3 is great for getting wide shot and then being able to use Catalyst Browse to stabilize the footage is perfect. If I wanted a wider shot with better stabilization, or wanting a more direct microphone, the GoPro with the Media Mod is great because it’s small and light. The GP 10 is also great for on-ride filming because I can safely mount it to my wrist and get very good footage (do not EVER film on rides without permission) If I want to get footage, the APS-C crop is handy because I get a longer reach with a wide lens. that setup is perfect for what I do. It gets good footage for not to expensive and is nice and small for getting through security.

    There's something I still don't come to understand. If you use the electronic zoom/stabilization in the ZV-E10, since the sensor is downsampled from 6K to 4K, you are supposed to stay at 4K; but if you do the same with the ZV-E1, since the sensor is just 4K, you actually loose it and the camera is supposed to digitally upscale or something. Is this right or what am I missing? Because I can't believe the resolution would be better with the cheap one.

    • @MarkBennettCameraCrisis
      @MarkBennettCameraCrisis  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      it’s about the megapixels. You need about 10.7 mp for 4K output. so cropping in on a 24mp sensor still leaves you plenty of megapixels for 4K. cropping in on a 12mp sensor puts it under the required megapixels for 4K. So it needs to be upscaled to output in 4K

    It's all relative I guess when compared to the A7SIII cost wise, but the ZVE-1 is still far from affordable for most people. ZVE-10 is still the undisputed value champ in my opinion. ZVE-10 or even the ZV-1 has more than adequate features for someone who's starting out, best to learn on these 2 cams and bypass the ZVE-1. I would rather save up for the A7SIII if ever. Nice video comparison Mark! Love your channel, keep up the good work.

Pffft!...... those guy's can't even approach the "Handsome Factor" we get here so, yeah, Walter and I will sit back and see if Doug and Dave get along. That said (and completely off topic) I'm kicking around with selling the A7Siii in favor of the A7iv for video and, of course, sticking with Roxy for stills and such (she's Walters new girlfriend). Who knew a ZV-E10 and an A7Rv could have such and beautiful courtship.

    Mark. I am a complete 107% camera noob. I bought a zve10 after watching many of your videos repeatedly. Thus far my camera experience has been limited to the phone in my pocket and a GoPro. So basically I feel like someone handed me keys to a spaceship when I grab my zve10. I want to use this camera for a TH-cam studio set up. • @mylogify
      @mylogify ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can disable the Steady-shot function, to get a bigger un-cropped video, for talking head, I also like to use it that way. He and many people recommend Sigma 16mm lens for studio kind of shoots, but for me the kit lens does it pretty good for me so far, no plans to change it :).

    • @MarkBennettCameraCrisis
      @MarkBennettCameraCrisis  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I’ll try to do something like that, but basically, get two lights with softboxes and put them to the left and right of you (about 45 degrees). Get a couple of lights to light up your background. You can add some colour in there if you want. As mentioned, you should consider getting a Sigma 16mm 1.4 for the studio because it will give that nice blurry background and lens is pretty affordable

    Yeah, a better camera, but I’ve seen (limited) video comparisons done on TH-cam on both and actually preferred little Doug, (lenses used a factor). Your own comparisons in the past to other cameras that included FF had similar results for me. That said, as you noted in low light, vlogging (unless using CB), rolling shutter and overall image quality will certainly be much better with Dave but doubtful whether anyone will notice on social media if just a simple video. Point is; likely most of the benefits with the smaller sensor for 1/3 of cost (value!) For serious (non photographer) content creators I think it will be their first choice and likely one of best. Some exciting new features! Great video Mark and I look forward to another great addition to your camera stable!
