Got the 2025 XLE premium and it's so nice to drive a new car. Seems reliable, quiet, and well-made. Learned about the location of some features (like the heated steering wheel) thanks to this video!
Simple reasons why the RAV4 is the best selling CUV: -Naturally aspirated engine with good HP, no turbo. -Traditional transmission, not CVT. -Analog gauges, not everything digital. -Physical knobs and buttons for controls, not digital touch screen controls.
Excellent vehicle. Blue chip!! I would avoid sun roof and AW D , think they may be packed into one of the two option packages. A plus is excellent resale value. And value is the word, here. Much more refined than when vehicle was introduced! Excellent review, as usual!
Like you said no changes for 2025. I also think that is a good thing. The drive train has proven reliability so why change it. This is a great SUV. I wouldn't be surprised if the 2026 was a new redesign with the all hybrid system like they did to the Camry. Excellent review. 👍
I’ve tried various cars, including hybrids and electric vehicles, but ultimately, the most fuel-efficient option is a gas-powered car. I purchased a hybrid, but the car insurance was significantly higher due to its hybrid status. Additionally, I had to replace the battery over 100,000 miles. Furthermore, my state imposed an annual car tax, similar to Tesla vehicles. Initially, these options seemed like a money-saving choice, but in reality, you end up paying back all the money you saved. Consequently, I’ve decided to return to a gas-powered car.
Yes, and it's not because it's a Toyota, but that reason should be good enough. The reason is, because for all cars in this size and market have either a turbo, or a CVT, or both. The Subaru line is good, but everything that is not the Outback Wilderness are way under powered, and combine that with a CVT is horrible power. The CRV sounds like a weed eater with the underpowered engine, and a turbo to get every ounce of power, and it has a CVT. That engine will not last 150K miles. The RAV4 has it all, size, good gas mileage, powerful 2.5, 8 speed auto, and no turbo, and it's a Toyota, enough said.
Its good they retained the all gas 8 speed transmission. That drive train is very reliable... I have the 2019. I don't drive long distances for me to feel the need to go hybrid... And im all for reliability. Low gas mileage on bumper to bumper stop and go standstill traffic traffic. But 40mpg on the hiway. Mine is almost 6 years so far ive had to replace the Coolant bypass valve.. Disappointed just a bit to have to have replaced an engine part for a relatively young vehicle... But overall very satisfied.
@@jimguzell4993 thank you yes, but now they can pop off your front light plastic and hack through the electronics from there. I want to try the remote battery disconnect.
I like Toyota a dependability but the styling is a big turn off for me on the Rave4 and the trucks . The front end just kills me it looks like a goose and the inside styling is just as bad. So I’m opting. for the Kia. If the get a Rave 4 that looks like a Kia than I will trade it in for the Toyota.
Yep! I own one. I'll add a couple things: Cramped right side leg room. I'm 5 foot 10 and my right knee it's always making uncomfortable contact with the console. Also, considering technology in 2024, the lack of windshield wiper speeds sucks ass. Really sucks ass... Seats and headrests aren't very comfortable, head rests are tilted too far forward. I liked my 03 Camry much better, but after 23 rust belt Winters, the the rear cross member was starting to rust through and I didn't feel safe driving it this winter. I'll live with the shortcomings of the RAV4 in hopes of similar reliability.
@@Mike-f8z7u I have the 2024 hybrid and like you, still bought it despite its shortcomings. Reliability sold me. I’ll say I’m 6’1” but my right leg doesn’t contact the center console. That might have stopped the purchase.
Do not buy hybrid 3000$ premium is not justified unless you are driving a Uber /Lyft business How much gas can you buy for $3000 ??? Assuming average gas price is $3 , you can buy 1000 gallons of gas and RAV4 non-hybrid gives average 30mpg/gallon . Which means you paid extra for 90000 miles.
Purchased the 2025 RAV4 XLE premium AWD gas in windchill white, absolutely beautiful. 🤩

hybrid is even better more hp and torq and better gas mileage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree with you! We test drove 5 others vehicles and the others were mostly controlled through the computer. I want manual controls.
Thank goodness no changes !

Thanks Louis! Appreciate the support.
2025 is my next vehicle xle with no sun roof
Why no sun roof?
I am thinking the same do to insurance cost with it.
Sunroof is the potential leakage point. I never open it.
@@Vanuatoo I agree plus I think insurance is higher with the sunroof.

Thanks Jack. Toyota indicated that there will be an engine change in 26. Not sure what that looks like yet, but we’ll see.
I wouldn't be surprised if you're correct but that hybrid only option is nonsense.
Yeah! My gut tells me it’s coming.
Best review video yet. Thank you
Thanks! Thank you for watching. Much appreciated 👍
Just got mine 🎉
Congrats! Enjoy!
My 2024 XLE FWD gets even better gas mileage. 30mpg city, 40 mpg highway, on my recent 900 mile trip. Beautiful road trip car.
Amazing! Thanks a lot!
Thank you for tuning in 👍
This is very honest review

USB port not HDMI
❤❤❤
DOES IT HAVE REMOTE START?
Yes it does
A good engine but the interior is so plain with few creature comforts.
They should have rounded the back more like the Highlander. It's to boxie
It's a very good luxury car for cheap

There are numerous reliability problems with the 8-speed transmission.
gas rav xle awd 2025 sounds like the one me thanks
$38,000[after tax’s] of complete uninspired vehicle, and that’s putting it nicely!
$33k for me. I was lucky Toyota did a discount on all new vehicles on the lot.
Where did you pay 33k after tax?@@kingra3339
Go for the hybrid.
Does it have the TSS 3.0 ? Ok. I heard you say TSS 2.5 still. Kind of scary that the 2026 trims will be all hybrid.
Just a shame the security is so weak; so easy to steal!

$4000 to much, can't do it at $36,500
XLE has too much hard plastic interior
worthless in snow.
Loud wind noise, loud road noise, and firm ride. Hard pass.
Correct. Very overrated vehicle.
