Hi all, I have a (some?) genuine questions. I know this comment is going to be a long one but please, hear me out. I am actually a totally blind person. Could someone please write back with, and I know this sounds a bit odd, but, but... a step by step guide to what happens if you start the game for the very first time? IT's jus that the game does not currently have any sort of menu narration. However, I do think there might e certain games that could be accessible, and more if the game had that narration and more queues added. For instance, the Faster Than Sound game is so close, if the clue was voiced/narrated, that game would be fully accessible. Guilty, I don't know what we'd do to make that one accessible. Rhythm Run just needs queues/sounds to play that you can learn for each button. Does anyone know if Garden Party might be playable, or do you have to tap random buttons that show on screen? Of course customisation won't really be doable. Is there anything else I need to know? For instance, even for the games that have more audio elements, what are the controls? I.e: batle box and such. Is it face buttons or d-pad? Also, and this is going to sound like a really obvious question I know, for a sighted person. But what in the name of hoaming pigions is The Ring? What do you have to do in that game? Sorry for all of the questions, and I hope osmeone will be able to reply back with any info. Also what are the options in the main menu? Once again sorry for a ton of questions. Lastly, to those who wonder how I can type comments, my computer talks to me, so if you respond, it will read the comments. I use a normal, qwerty keyboard and learned to touch type when I was in school. Thanks everyone in advance.
Most of the important main menu buttons is just face buttons, no directional navigation, except for the settings which has to be navigated to via left and right bumper among some other tabs like customization. When you boot up the game is has the splash screens and then goes straight to the main menu, from there you can press A to enter a lobby, and thats all you have to do until the games actually start. On the first time you open the game it has you do a quick delay test where you press A every time you hear the cowbell sound. This can be redone or have the value manually adjusted in the settings.
The games do vary a little on how you interact with them, but it is mostly face buttons. One exception I can think of is Fitness, where you move the left stick, and First Piano Shooter, where you have to point and shoot. Garden Party/After Party would definitely be possible, the only input is the A button. Super Strikers also only uses the A button. Oui/its round one counter part would also be possible if you learned which commands correspond to which buttons. Battle Box as well.
Oh, and the Ring first shows you four blank boxes that play a sound when you click on them. You have to memorize the order and then select the right box after it plays a sound. In later rounds it plays multiple sounds and adds more rows of boxes so you select the first sound in row one, then the second sound in row 2, etc. The slowest people get eliminated. It honestly might be doable.
I agree with everything the other person who replied to you said and just wanted to add- I think Glottossimo could definitely be playable, the only thing you would need to know is that the buttons map with 'A' as the lowest pitch, 'X' as the middle, and 'Y' as the highest. The Stunt Moles and The Final Ride also match buttons with pitch, with A being the lowest, then X, then B, then Y. However these would definitely be harder as you would have to rely on the notes relative to each other, and there are more of them.
Everyone, thanks for your help so far. I'm going to give this a go I know that it won't read the timings and such, but I do wonder if there's a way to contact the developers so they could add that sort of stuff in. Wow thanks for the info about pitches, very helpful! I'll be OK with pitches and such, as I've got a lot of electronic games like Simon. The only game I worry about now is Guilty, and the bonus rounds. The commander one seems doable left, right, hay! But how do you do the hay command, is that just let go? Also Glottossimo seems to definitely be doable. I am so looking forward to checking this out!
