London to Paris in 2 1/2 hours is quite impressive really, when I was an International truck driver it used to take me at least 8 hours, longer if I used the ferry instead of the pipe.
In a straight line there are 344 kilometers. By the ways 470 kilometers. Average speed for the distance: 190 kilometers per hour. Excellent landscape of both countries.
1:24:22 Gare de Lille Europe Central station and Eurostar hub in one of my favourite French cities (I lived there for a year between 2013 and 2014). If you wanna go to Lille you have to take the Eurostar Brussels service

Took this journey in May 2008. Trains are a great way to travel in Europe. The stations have kiosks where you can buy cheap bypass-the-crowds tickets to the Louvre and other attractions.
Thank you so much for sharing i waa recently researching this route from Frethun to get to Lille rather than driving from Calais to Lille and see the time is less than 30 mins
We took the Eurostar out of here in June of 2018. We got there early but was told that due to a SNCF strike, the first Eurostar to Paris that morning would be the ONLY one. Thank goodness we got there early! We had just enough time to check into the one train, get our bags checked by the French officials, then run upstairs to the platform to get onto the train. I never got to see anything in the depot and had no time for any photos. Once we got to Paris, my wife was transfixed on our ride we had scheduled, I didn't get any photos at the other end either.
Guys you can't see vibration when the camera is moving with the car itself, you'll see the wheels move a lot instead. If the camera is attached to the wheels then you'll see that the cars move a lot. It's called science.
Marked wrong on the map at the start. The train goes via LGV Nord, which is the French high-speed line from the Nord-Pas de Calais (initiates in Calais) to Paris-Gare du Nord going via Lille and not going via the coast as wrongly shown on your map (Boulogne, Etaples, Rang-de-Fliers ect). Very nice video though...
At St Pancras you go through all the formalities so when you get to Paris (or Brussels) you just leave the train. No barriers at the arrivals end. You do the same if travelling from Paris or Brussels to London - all formalities at that end, not in London.
jrcigarful Lol yes we drive trains on the left. However the tracks you see on the right are from the domestic platforms used by the Southeastern Highspeed trains. Eurostars merge onto them after Stratford International which is the station after St Pancras they do not stop at (see it at 07:36). The Southeastern trains share the tracks with Eurostars until Ashford International where they leave the high speed line and carry on to Folkestone to serve local Kent towns. Eurostars sometimes stop at Ebbsfleet and/or Ashford, then continue along the high speed tracks before they travel southwards past Folkestone and down the tunnel to go under the English Channel. The Euro tunnel which carries passengers in vehicles does the same but starts at Folkestone.
Strange but true, it is. In the late 1800s, the Uk was the pioneer of railways and countries like France and Belgium had no other options than to buy their material in the UK, with of course left hand drive.
+Jeff Hietala FOrgive me for asking this, but how? I'm totally blind, yet I've lived there and am from the U.S. Also, I have relatives in Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, and I do know about the skiing in Wisconsin. Still, perhaps it's the topography?
Excellent Video. Can we get one of Paddington to Penzance, Paddington to Swansea & London to Aberdeen? Just asking. These make great screensavers when chromed to the TV at home.
I rode this route on Eurostar from London to Paris. Does anyone know what the last big sign says before you enter the tunnel to leave the U.K.? I caught a quick glimpse and could have swore it said France??
+Japan Train Viewing hi! I'd like to know if you have to go to migration after getting off the train? I mean do you have to get your passport signed? Thank you!
I might be a little late but all of the immigration is done before arriving in Paris. At St Pancras, you go through the British passport control checks and then the French. Your passport is not stamped if it is an EU passport, however it will be stamped if it is an non-EU passport
Well, the big difference between London St Pancras and Paris Gare du Nord is the absence of garbage and dirts in London, but not in Paris... That's why we, french people of Paris city live with rats under our feets... On the 1st side, you can even eat on the floor, on the other one, you can get malaria or what else...
+Sardar Jaman The Acela is a TGV Adapted for the US by alstom and bombardier. The Eurostar is a TGV Adapted for the EuroTunnel and the UK by alstom. So it's normal that looks the same.
Shocking to me that unlike in the United States one still has to climb up steps to board the train. Seeing passengers having to pick up their bags instead of just rolling right on was unexpected.
I am from India. Its really amazing for me travelling from London St.Pancras to Paris Gare du Nord by Eurostar in May 2012.
Thanks! The newly high-speed train in India will be constructed by Japanese technology soon.
go scam people instead of riding a train

I hope someday I can board on the Eurostar.
I've been on this Eurostar train as well to Paris back in 2014
We took the Eurostar out of here in June of 2018. We got there early but was told that due to a SNCF strike, the first Eurostar to Paris that morning would be the ONLY one. This is a cool video. Notice there's no vibration in the train car. The luggage in the overhead spaces is perfectly still. Very cool!
Thanks!!
I also notice no vibration in the train car.
Guys you can't see vibration when the camera is moving with the car itself, you'll see the wheels move a lot instead. If the camera is attached to the wheels then you'll see that the cars move a lot. It's called science.
skip to 58:42 if you want to see france

Absolutely fabulous video. Thank you for sharing.
Never been on this train or thru the Chunnel but it feels as tho I have now. Thank you.
Thank you.
thanks for the seating views so I can show my wife when we go. spot on video.
Thanks very interesting , I've made the trip but sat on other side of train . Noticed a lot fewer PA announcements than on my trip also .
I love the Eurostar my mum works for it so we get to travel free
Hi! Hey do you have to go to migration after getting off the train? How does it work? Please reply, thank you so much!
Yes the platforms are fenced you have nowhere to go except to the immigration office .
At St Pancras you go through all the formalities so when you get to Paris (or Brussels) you just leave the train. No barriers at the arrivals end. You do the same if travelling from Paris or Brussels to London - all formalities at that end, not in London.
Esther Ketsia I’m absolutely terrified to go on it, what’s it like on the train 😭😖😬
Kayla McKenzie Wtf why?
I prefer to take the Eurostar than the coach and the ferry to cross the Channel
andrew bellringer: But the airport queue!
St Pancras → PARIS Gare du Nord RAILWAY ENGLAND
The map at the beginning is incorrect : it shows the old route of the boat trains from Boulogne to Paris. Eurostar travels via Lille.
please ask google to update new route...
Thank you so much for this video ! We will be taking this trip in July. I'm not so apprehensive now !
+mary kate At the end of June I will be on my 19th trip. Funny thing is I reached my destination via Paris but am coming back via Brussels.
mary kate me to!
Interesting to note that the left hand track is used instead of the right (as they drive in the U.K.)
In France, the SNCF (national railway comp-any) drives on the left, automobiles on the right.
Left hand side on railway and left hand side on the roads as well here in the UK
jrcigarful Lol yes we drive trains on the left. However the tracks you see on the right are from the domestic platforms used by the Southeastern Highspeed trains. In many countries trains use the left hand track - this isn't UK related.
Strange but true, it is. In the late 1800s, the Uk was the pioneer of railways and countries like France and Belgium had no other options than to buy their material in the UK, with of course left hand drive.
Great British/ French countryside scene. Although it seems no different then traveling through Wisconsin or Iowa!!
There portions of the scenery (the farmland) that do look like parts of Wisconsin and Minnesota.
Jeff Hietala: Guess which Continent the US farmers mostly came from?
Excellent Video. Can we get one of Paddington to Penzance, Paddington to Swansea & London to Aberdeen? Just asking. These make great screensavers when chromed to the TV at home.
I lived in london but haven't yet to board the eurostar ^^ Great Video
+Izzuddin Ahsanujunda Thanks!!!
Class 395 traffic in England and Eurostar and tgv traffic in France
Skip to 38:30 for the Eurotunnel
Excellent. But it´d be even more if someone filmed (and posted) ride from London to Paris before CTRL opening.
23:22 There was somebody filming it passing over the bridge. Also that area is my home town :D
It is very beautiful place!!
In that case, you must be local to me. My home area too!
@@TransportViewingArchives àà
That's obviously a road route being traced out at the start. Eurostar trains go through Lille.
This is a beautiful video,Thank U.
departure from St Pancras to 1:44
buen viaje de londres a paris pasando por el canal de la mancha
How its underwater when outside there are trees and sky?
brilliant video please make some more long journey ones as much appreciated and enjoyed
Thanks
The route map on the very beginning is not correct, high speed rail is also calling at Lille, where shortly after is a big triangle rail crossing
This was the upside of the spec of google map then. Please just look for reference of position and direction.
One day I made almost the same travel. That was fun
It was nice.
Yeeees....
Mi agradecimiento, y felicitaciones . . . . G R A C I A S
Thanks for sharing! Unbelieavble! These things doesnt exist in Brazil.
Thanks.
These also don't exist in here in thailand
I’m excited for Eurostar
I rode this route on Eurostar from London to Paris. Does anyone know what the last big sign says before you enter the tunnel to leave the U.K.? I caught a quick glimpse and could have swore it said France??
so are these trains the only ones that share bogies between cars, and aren't talgo type?
Can a list be placed of the railway stations where this train stops between London St. Pancras and Paris Gare du Nord?
+Martin Machiels please check my comment under this video on youtube site.
Very nice. Tks.......
Thanks. I'm glad you to enjoy my videos.
Who watched the whole video waiting for a plot twist
very good video
Thanks
Don´t they ever wash them? Sure doesn´t look like it. Look at the Shinkansen, always sparkling clean and freshly painted.
How smooth is this ride.... I'm going in 2 days to Paris.... Thank you if you reply
Thanks. I'm glad you to enjoy my videos.
+Japan Train Viewing hi! I'd like to know if you have to go to migration after getting off the train? I mean do you have to get your passport signed? Thank you!
Um I like how it moves side to side and plus I went to France on April that was about 2 months before you.
I might be a little late but all of the immigration is done before arriving in Paris. At St Pancras, you go through the British passport control checks and then the French. Your passport is not stamped if it is an EU passport, however it will be stamped if it is an non-EU passport
Once you arrive in Paris, you just walk off the platform. There will be no further security checks.
If there is no tunnel under the English Channel, the people who wants to take train from London to Paris will be impossible
8000 years ago that was possible.
Well, the big difference between London St Pancras and Paris Gare du Nord is the absence of garbage and dirts in London, but not in Paris... That's why we, french people of Paris city live with rats under our feets...

Japan Train Viewing
no problem

大体いくらくらいします?
Those women laughing -_-
They are in every train.
The one that gets me is the constantly crackling plastic packet. Argh!
Sorry, had missed that.
+Martin Machiels no problem.
Japan Train Viewing
What camera was used to film this? How did you manage to film constantly? DSLR's and compacts only allow for 29 minutes at a time due to overheating.
+Edward Cullen I use JVC GZ-N1. www3.jvckenwood.com/dvmain/gz-n1/
+Japan Train Viewing thank you. that thing is so small!

Was that map at the end the route? Down the coast and through Amiens?
I think the train goes through Lille (that is the tunnel in France at about 1hr 23 minutes). The map is incorrect, but that is Google's fault.
It is really sad that the tunnel between both nations is called the Euro Tunnel now that England is leaving the EU.
But Britain has never had the Euro as its currency.....
I thought the Brit's referred to it as the Chunnel. No matter Brexit is the right choice for Britain.
なるほど。

so are these trains the only ones that share bogies between cars, and aren't talgo type?
Don't all TGV's share bogies? Also, quite a few local train types share bogies.
