- Welcome to this video showcasing the European high speed network from London St Pancras International to Paris Gare du Nord. This is a non-stop service and takes 2 hours 13 minutes which is very impressive.
Enjoy the journey
The timestamps are in UK only as I am too lazy to do the rest and have no idea where Ashford is.
0:10 departure from St Pancras
2:33 tunnel
5:46 Stratford Intl (no international services call here)
6:00 tunnel
8:42 out of tunnel
11:30 Dartford Crossing (QEII bridge/tunnel(
16:26 M2 Medway bridge
31:10 Channel tunnel (takes 20 min)
50:45 End of Channel tunnel
Seems surprising that it only takes 30 min from London to the Channel tunnel as it is only 100 km long and at 300 km/h, takes 20 minute. There is also going to be a rail and road tunnel from Germany to Denmark which is another example of international travel by rail crossing the ocean.
Yes but during first minutes you gain speed, you don t go at 300 km/h thats why you take 30 mn. And before getting in tunnel, you réduction speed to
Again always fantastic to watch your content. Channel tunnel must take a while to get through.
It’s only about 20 minutes. The train travels up to 100mph in the tunnel
