This is why I like having Apple Play on the dashboard. I keep the app open on my phone and use google maps on the screen. This allows me to keep an eye on the ride info as well as a secondary GPS route.

at least out of guilt one of them would I guess, and here you let them go scot free, whereas they could all be in on this scam...
To kind...except to the guy you ditched. I was in that guys situation before. I returned a rental car then called for an Uber on the app and like 5 Uber drivers accepted and skipped and left me standing in front of a Enterprise car rental that was closed so I couldn't wait inside and in a bad part of town as it got colder and colder and darker and darker....
“Literally, pull up wherever and we’ll just hop out.” “Right here?” “Can you pull up a little bit more?” 🙄

This is one of the reasons why I quit being a rideshare driver. It happened so much and I lost so much time and money and this was only a side gig at the time. Also Covid was the nail in the coffin for me to stop altogether, however I do miss the driving sometimes because I met a lot of people that became VIPs

Yeah for real. Idk for me personally I wouldn't feel right just getting a free ride like that duping someone even though it wasn't me doing the duping. I would want to do anything, either giving them my shoes or going to a store and buying them something on a credit card if I didn't have any cash. Just ridiculous that none of them wanted to make it right in anyway. Just all spoiled brats.
Don't worry. doing this kind of thing will come back to bite them in the end. They just need to stop spending money on alcohol, clothes and shoes they don't need ❤
They will get away with everything because they will feel no remorse and their mommy and daddy will keep paying and continue enabling their narcissistic upbringing well into adulthood. This is just the reality of the fortunate 5% of America. It's the rest that pay for the consequences, not them

@@fredericklee2348 idk... i think the time/hassle of arguing with them to get out plus the fact that it wasn't them that cancelled plus the fact that i was punishing myself because i shouldve known better, im happy with my choice.

In this case, he didn't do the right thing. He screwed over a guy that didn't scam him in favour of a girl that did. Look at the reaction of the girls and the way they talk, they 100% knew what their friend was going to do.
I've never had this happen to me yet. I also typically won't accept new requests while im already on a trip either, I hate how Uber does that. Somebody who gets in an accident because of it needs to sue them.
I immediately put my app on Uber Pet and doesn’t get ride except twice and I just ignored it. When I dropped off I put X back on and accept new ride.. I always say Uber doesn’t care about our safety or the passengers safety to be sending us ride while on route.

Yeah... the ONE calling the ride says out laud she would call another later... then immediately cancels hoping he doesn't see and focuses on driving instead. The video has its title for a reason.
Eddie do not let people take advantage of you like this, kindly tell them to exit your vehicle when you realize the ride is cancelled. Or you can offer them to venmo u for the ride.
Something like this happened to me. I picked up a college girl, confirmed her name and started the trip. Right away, I got another request, accepted it and heard a "rider cancelled" sound. I thought it was my next rider who cancelled, but I later realized that my gps was taking me to the next rider pick up point. I asked the girl if she cancelled and she said no and showed me an active ride on her app but, guess what, it was another driver's profile and she was in the wrong car. I asked her to pick up another uber but she said she had no money. Eventually, I had to drive her to her destination together with my next passenger. I felt sympathetic but I also feel she somehow scammed me.
1:45 Bro put that into perspective big time! I've always wondered why even as a 23 year old I felt somewhat of a child who's parents are responsible for him even though I've legally been an adult for 5 years! Half a freakin decade... As I've gotten older (29) it started setting in and how people start treating you more like an adult. Now, it doesn't feel good and I miss having to be looked after *all while taking care of my responsibilities* but I've finally heard it described perfectly just how you explained...

I've been driving Lyft since I left my job in January. In my market that move is dangerous for insurance reasons. There is no reason *ever* that a rider should be in my car when I'm not on an official Lyft ride.

I tried the patreon thing for a bit but it just wasn't for me - i like keeping my content free and accessible. Some people have asked for my venmo, but even that feels weird to me. I should probably get over that and just accept the support, but the meantime, maybe buy a cup of coffee for the person behind you or something like that, that would be just as good in my book

The trick is double check before you leave and make sure no one cancelled and if they did, "whoops, so sorry girls, gotta let you out, emergency call". Yeah, the real emergency is preventing you scamming me. Drive around the corner and your next longer rider is ready to be picked up. Four girls vs male uber driver amounts to two of them bombarding you with useless questions, the third is texting someone and the 4th is in the front seat dealing with the driver. It's distraction, testing for all different reasons.. lol
This happened to me once before and literally a few days after I started using an outside map. I now only use the one in the app. I was so confused what was happening at the time and someone calling as I had people in my car. I felt like it was somehow my fault and took the people who cancelled to their place, cancelled on the next one who I was supposedly heading to and felt like a total tool that next week when I told a friend about it and they explained how I got screwed. 🤦🏼♀️

no because the woman who called the uber wasn't in my car, her app would show that she never left with me. To me thats the craziest thing about it... i legit had 4 strangers in my car with no relation/connection to me going to an address they didn't want to go. Thank god i wasn't too far from where they wanted to go before i realized.
plus.. the hassle of dealing with uber/ the hoops they make you go through would not be worth it
It was your call to make but wow... if this happened to me. I got into an Uber my friend paid for and they cancelled midride. I would do anything fucking scrounge up some pennies, give them my shoes, go to a gas station and buy them something on my credit card flipping anything but what they all did. "I don't have any cash on me" none of you have a dollar? None of you have a backup plan? Man. But it was your call to make, so all good in the end.

WHY DID YOU CONTACT UBER...CALL THEM TELL THEM THE RIDE WAS CANCELLED BUT YOU DROVE THEM, THEY WILL ASK FOR PICK UP AND DROP OFF ADRESS AND GIVE YOU THE ESTIMATED PAY FOR THAT....IVE DONE IT PLENTY OF TIMES....THEY WILL CHARGE THEM LATER
Whenever that happens if you contact support and explain to them that you completed the ride but they canceled mid-ride and you give them the start and end location typically they will pay you out
I would have told them to call their friend to pay for their ride

Big mistake. You showed the scammer that her scam works. You should have pulled over and put them out of your car. They could then deal with the scammer and the situation she put them in. It's not being a "nice guy" when you allow entitled brats to take advantage of you. The scammer cost you money!
Now the scammer will pull that on other Uber drivers because you let her get away with it. I do hope you at least reported her.
It's not gonna work tho. The only reason it worked now was because Eddie happened to get a request for another ride right at the same moment
An experience driver wave off riders that say I’ll tip you because 90% doesn’t and please drop me off two blocks away I’ll pay you or add it as tip.These drunken bars hoping college kids think the rest of us is dumb but little do they know..As a Uber driver I have given several free ride because of my assessment of the situation, the longest was 26 minutes and the shortest 6 minutes under heavy rain. I have also put 4 college boys out my car around Swarthmore after 1:am because their timing was wrong.I have allowed some to also get away with it but still said something because you not walking away thinking you played me,I allowed it thief.The first time it happened to me I was confused at first so I parked and immediately called Uber and they adjusted my fair.She could argue with Uber that she never got pickup because the next Uber am assuming pick her up from that exact spot and to the drop off. She could say he pickup the wrong person and I cancel when I realized the ride was on route. My advice to you is don’t allow criminals playing games with your money & time unless you want to do it out of the goodness of your hear with honest riders.Don’t be a dick unless they push you but play along since they love games. Like ooh did you cancel your ride and the reply is always NO, and you go like ooh no I have another passenger waiting for me so sorry guys I your ride end here.
What does the girl in the passenger seat have under her sweatshirt in her left hand the entire drive? She even pulls the seatbelt over her left arm pinning it. Buckles and unbuckles the belt with her right hand.

the hoops uber makes you jump through only to usually get you no where, it wouldnt be worth it. They'd see the actual girl who called it didn't come with me and there is really nothing they can do.
I've never had this issue, because 1. I never switch out of the app, and Uber has its own GPS. 2. I don't believe they can cancel after the trip has already started. That's also the only time I can get trip requests like you did. How did that even happen?

The right thing to do is follow your gut and just be honest with the girls, tell them their friend is trying to scam you and that they are either going to have to pay for it by getting kicked out of your car OR they can pay you with whatever they have until the fee is paid. That's fair. Then they can take it up with their scamming friend how they got treated because of THEIR fault.
Don't do yourself bad King, you deserve to get paid for your work too. Doesn't matter if they are college girls, if these were guys would you have done the same? No. So don't do it for the women either.
That's why I'm unsubscribing from this channel. I don't wanna contribute with views to pay back the free ride he gave to these girls, just because they're girls

appreciate the feedback, but i can confidently say it didn't have anything to do with their gender on why i did what i did. if anything, half the reason to just drive them was to avoid the hassle of kicking them out, and with that logic, i think i would be even more inclined to drive them if they were dudes (much more risk involved confronting four dudes that women). sometimes you just gotta chalk up the L, learn and move on.

I've never used Uber before, so maybe someone could enlighten me about this: The girl that called the Uber in the first place stayed back to call another Uber for the rest of the group. But can you call another uber while you are technically "already on a ride"? Is it possible that was the reason the ride was cancelled?
Pretty sure you can only order one at a time… but when she had the app open, she could actively see the car her friends were in driving along a map (much like GPS) in real time. So I’m almost certain she knew what she was doing.

I know it sucks you gave them a free ride but it was human of you to not blame them for what their friend did. Unless they knew what she was doing. I now only use the Uber navigation because I've had similar things happen (canceled the ride but I didn't notice) and I get there to realize I drove there for nothing.

Other than at the beginning of uber when it forced you into exterior navigation apps I as an 8 year uber driver have never used external navigation. Its built into the app now so why would you go outside of it? i don’t get the point?
i like google maps because it gives me more control to see the route and re-route and i think it does better in avoiding traffic and construction etc. also i prefer the interface

The crime occurred in 2018 perhaps even 2017. It, however is possible you re recorded one over with 4 participants. These were a real college chicks. The one who set at the front was in her first college year when ORIGINAL crime occurred. Year was even 2015 - 2026 the most. Sorry not 2018 or 2017, but 2015 max 2016. She really liked me driver Ed ?
