When I was driving Uber, and now with GrubHub, if we were trying to find each other, I'd hit my flasher lights and tell them,
" In the red car with flashing lights".
I could never find people in crowds...I didn't know what they looked like, ha!
I'm always having to deliver food to downtown Scottsdale bars & partying groups from ASU. It's a madhouse there on weekends...and zero available parking.
Easier for them to find me.

The fact that you waited to make sure she got in ok is so sweet of you. A friend and I got locked out once of her house so I had to take her to my place and to school in the morning so she didn't freeze outside(and yes I watched the end it just means alot coming from an 18 year old who is often out past 3:00 am. I have run into scary situations so I thought you should know it really does mean alot for you to take that extra time to ensure safety)

One time I did that and the next morning I literally had a complaint from UBER about staring at girls.

I live in Phoenix & only been to PA twice. Once for my dog rescue org.
I need to go to find adoptive homes in Delco for some AZ rescues here.
Then I could park my transport car and Uber everywhere, and hopefully get a ride with @Eddie Doyle. 🤣

I'm an Uber Driver too. I had to pick up a guy from the ER and take him home. He couldn't walk and he forgot his keys so I had to (with his permission) break into his house to open the door for him. Very awkward, and I was glad to have his permission on recording to keep me safe.

I was thinking that the girl was only telling you to leave because she was scared that since you saw her getting locked out you might take the chance and do something bad but then she was like I will sleep on the floor and then I was like does she want to be kidnapped now or what?
I thought the same but because she said she would sleep on the floor, she probably just didn't want to bother him or waste his time

We were having car troubles, buying a new car. My my what a havoc. When you don't have a car to get to your new car you got an Uber driver... And he's a white supremacist. He starts going off about Muslims. Anybody of a richer color. This man doesn't know my DNA history. I was extremely polite and just couldn't wait to get home. My son said to me Mom that must have been so hard. I wanted to make a bad star on his reply and my son warned me hey he knows where you live and that's a supremacist so I would just give him four stars and leave it at that. Scary. The things the man said. Freaked me out. Now out of all the thousands of people that I come in contact with. Years ago it was about 20 years ago I came in contact with someone like that. It's a very rare thing. I couldn't believe this man, like anyone with dark hair and dark eyes be very Leary of their history man. Like seriously. I'm Arabic Israelite. Wrong thing to say to the wrong girl. When I'm out of the Sun, I look like a little white girl with brown hair and brown eyes. As soon as the skin is kissed by sunlight, funny everyone knows that I'm not a little white girl. I actually have had Arabic women ask me why I did not have my headdress on. Hahahaha 🤣🥴👌 I didn't feel like giving her the rundown on my family and my family history and my grandmother being a survivor of the camps. But truly that's why.
She chose to become a reverend and hide her history. The woman's rule my grandmother. Stay out of the sun don't let the sun touch your skin. That was back in the old days. Then my grandmother found it was okay to be tan. So funny that my grandmother and I look like we do not belong in this circle. It always bothered me and I kept asking for a heritage my grandmother would claim that she's Italian. I would laugh and say like my family they're even a different color than I am. What are we what do we have in US? I turned the color of deep mahogany brown with red hue in my skin. No the Italians don't turn this color. No one in my family turns its color. They get bronze. But not my color.

Loved how this was edited together. There's a 1991 dark comedy-drama movie called "Night on Earth" directed by Jim Jarmusch. It is a collection of five vignettes, taking place during the same night, concerning the temporary bond formed between taxi driver and passenger in five cities: Los Angeles, New York, Paris, Rome, and Helsinki. Anyway, this reminded me of the movie as each journey is its own scene and people do tend to open up to taxi drivers. Anyway, I enjoyed it.

Ed, watching your videos in St Petersburg FL , I grew up in Wallingford moved to Ocean View NJ raised a family downsized to apt in Sea Isle City before moving to Fl. So watching your videos to see some familiar places. Also frequented Phil & Jim's and LaSpadas in Parkside.

You have a dash cam, you have the ap showing that you did your part. 1:36 can i just say, i loved your reactions to her story. I work in customer service and sometimes i get some TALKERS. On the inside im like "ughhh can you just leeeaaavvvve" but on the outside im just like "oh wow, uh huh, thats great, hehe" Gotta work on my charisma lol.
I play Pokemon Go sometimes late at night because I like it, I am bored and often have insomnia. I've had people try to get in my car thinking I was their Uber driver a couple of times. I never open my doors to anyone I don't know, but I did explain to a drunk couple I was not an Uber. They offered me money to take them home. I told them I would not pay to get into a car with a random guy, and that my friend is an Uber driver and I would never take work away from someone anyway. Another time the guy tried to get into my passenger front door, locked of course, he hit my window(no knock, HIT!) and then tried my back door. I drove away really fast. If I was his Uber, I would have left just because of the force of the hit on my car window. I have used Lyft a few times, its a cool way to make money, but gas now is so crazy, how can you make any money? Cool videos though. Definitely good on you for helping that girl get in her house.

As a mom and as someone who watches a lot of true crime THANK YOU for making sure that girl was safe INSIDE her home. I promise her mother would rather open the door at 4am to you with her daughter than god forbid the police at 4am because her daughter will never come home. 💜

I would of just let the girl go. I feel like she was avoiding knocking loud for a reason. She probably didn't want to get in trouble for waking her parents up coming home so late. Probably why she had to home by 12 or they lock her out. I had parents like that. Would of been begging you to just leave instead of knocking. Your camera would of kept you safe if anyone came for you. Better to sleep on porch for a night then get kicked out of the house for good.
Always wondered what those flashes were, then I remembered that most cameras pick up infrared light and that iris scanning and Face ID use infrared light, i feel stupid..

The comment on the end about being a good dude. Your right all you can do is try. But with that I say. Unfortunately it is not uncommon for a mom to wake up to her daughter sleeping on the porch, not home or worse. Because the Uber would have just dropped her off and left. As a single mom to a son I work hard to teach my son how to treat girls. Even if the girl isn’t someone your trying to date or are attracted to. But because it is the right thing to do. The fact you would not give up says a lot. Yes it may have been awkward but I can tell you as a mom I would rather open the door to you trying to keep her safe then to a cop trying to tell me something bad or a daughter that was messed up for life. So with that your trying to do the right thing is a good lesson. Good job. 👏
