Man this video hits home. I’ve played RS since 2004, it was my childhood and will never forget the memories of varrock/edge pking. I played till about 2009-2010 and quit because of the new graphics and pvp era. I came back in 2015 to play the new OSRS and was so amazed that my forever childhood favorite game was back. I created a maxed 75 attack pure but unfortunately life caught up and quit around 2017. I just recently logged back on and was legitimately upset how dead PVP is and where the game sits now. I hope something for the better of PVP changes and would KILL to have that old school varrock multi/edge pking back. Great video man!
@@CrimeFireWatch new items wouldn't be as op with out F keys. People wouldn't live so easily if combo foods weren't a prominent thing either. Sheesh I remember when having 1 or 2 hp would have your health bar full red and you would think you're dead. That was before the orbs/ hp bar update. Pvp worlds haven't ruined pking as much as theyve split the community into 2 different places. In 2022 the only place people pk in edge is in f2p world 308. Imo it's kind of sad but jagex really dropped the ball with the BH updates and basically stuck everyone with pvp worlds and the problems with the mechanics there. They did offer to close pvp worlds on a poll a while back. Makes me think they seen it coming. 🤔

the game is dead, at this rate, they'll shut down the servers by 2025. what they could do, is make mage bow/dds+ f2p, and make some spells used in 07 pking f2p. that would bring back some people. also, if they'd add skill lock. y'know, pay 100k to lock your HP, or lock your strength, or lock your defense. That would bring a lot of people in again. But jagex won't do any of that. The game is doomed, and rs3 was trash to begin with. 2022, there's a small f2p pking scene, but it's just that. small. i logged in for the first time this week in over 1,100 days, played for the week, and I'm done with it again
p2p osrs is just garbage. it has been since the introduction of d-bow and dragon claws. since then, pking p2p has been on a steady decline, as they continue to update with 1 hit/2 hit KO rush weapons. the only people who are into that are gambling addicts. gg, runescape
they could easily revive this style of pking by simply making certain things f2p. then, there would be a clear separation between people who want to have fun pking the old way, and the dumbshits that are into this new wave osrs pk style, that totally sucks ass.
i agree 100 percent if they made dragon wepons and mage bow and dds f2p, along with god spells and fire surge spells f2p would be booming. Just give a npc that locks your experience, you have to pay 100k each time.
