The wiki has a great guide for this, and block lists. It actually works out better xp/hr if you do expert instead of master but you’ll obviously offset the amount of rewards you receive. The pet chance is the same though if you’re hunting for it specifically.
This was extremely informative. I’ve been debating how early I wanted to do Hunter on my level 3 skiller. Looks like it’ll be next, after I finish off Agility.

hey, thanks for all the useful information. I have a question about the use of tecu salamanders. Ultimately I opted for less inventory management to make 200m as brain dead as I could. Don't have to deal with the antlers, collect logs, equip/unequip teasing stick, and there is more banking to empty fur/meat sack 'cause now 2/3 tasks fill them up.
@@Rakupenda yea that's a factor a lot of people don't take into consideration enough. whether or not you currently have alchs or fletching stuff to do on an iron can affect which method is currently best

Nice video! I have a question related to creating the master block list when you already have the teco blocklist setup. Not looking into pets atm. I want to do master rumours with moonlight anti, tecu sallys and dashing kebbits as only tasks.
You could simply use the same setup as I outlined, just have Gilman (Novice) block Herbiboar instead of the Moonlight antelope. i gott moonlight moth from wolf while setting up the block list and to solve the run energy issue i just used vile vigour + moths to restore prayer. very ez. almost feel like not blocking them :) but I'll continue as directed.
I made a hardcore and am not doing dig site because of hunter. currently doing hunter to a high level. so that means I can set up a block list and only have 2 tasks :D imma do moths and kebbits for the start (prayer for slayer) then may change it to tecu's or red chins depending if I want pet
The nets and ropes can both be stored in the Huntsman's kit. I didn't use it because of the extra inventory management. Much simpler to just leave them in the inventory.
Strictly by highscores there are less people with high herb then there is with prayer . 122 hours extra is not bad considering how much more herbs you get. You can translate all that into bossing, rumors arw great but im still going for at least 100m of just herbibore once i max my ironman at the end of the year lmao
For context: I'm 120.7m herb with another 13m banked waiting for Varlamore pt 2's herb minigame = 133.7m herb. A lot of the herblore experience has come from pvm sources but an equally large part has come from herb runs. I have 62m prayer + 18.8m banked = 80.8m prayer. Banking herblore xp is severely time gated behind herb runs because you're limited to one every 80 minutes. And like training farming (because it IS farming) -- the actual time invested into doing it is relatively small but it's spread over a long period of time, years even. Compare that to banking cooking, where if you wanted to you could focus and "knock out" that skill in relatively short time of a few months. You simply can't camp herblore like that for an "easy" front page 200m like the cooking. I argue that's why there are more 200m cooking than herblore. There's comparable amounts of people with high prayer as there is high herblore; herblore requires 100m to be front page where prayer is about 90m. My prayer should catch up to herblore with the 200m slayer grind and from there I will need to actually dedicate time to banking prayer to finish it. We should weigh that 122 hours saved by imagining they were put towards solely towards gathering herbs (herb runs): each run takes approximately 10 minutes and ten herb patches per run, ~9 herbs per seed on average is 65,880 herbs. At a minimum I plant Irit (108.8xp ea) which means that is at least 7.1m herb xp. With that framing, now it's like I only spent 3m herb xp for 17m prayer and 17m cooking (+ more). There's also nothing stopping you from spending those extra 122 hours doing post-200m herbi for just banking herb xp. You'll get about 3m herblore doing that. The 200m all journey is focused on the long term. It is a game of years, not mere months for "quick" 200m front page flexes. I need to think about grinds in the context of all the skills, not just herblore.
Welcome to OSRS! The teak and mahogany logs from the loot reward sacks will be converted into planks and used for construction. @@Rakupenda There's probably more elegant solutions but I treated it as a markov model with transition matrix:
k h s
k 1/3 1/3 1/2
h 1/3 1/3 1/2
s 1/3 1/3 0
and solved for the steady state:
k = h (= 1/3k +1/3h + 1/2s = 2/3k + 1/2s)
s = 1/3k + 1/3h = 2/3k
k + h + s = 2k + s = 1
then: 1 = 2k + 2/3k -> 3 = 6k + 2k = 8k -> k = 3/8 (= h)
since s = 2/3k -> s = 2/3 * 3/8 = 6/24 = 1/4

You *could* do the four rumour setup (don't block red chins) and do rumours until you get Quetzin or chin pet, then block red chins & finish out rumours 'til Quetzin.
I don't get it somehow i ruined all my block lists? Does gilman reset every task?
If you have him reset all the tasks, yes.
@@Rakupenda Wow im angry... i wish someone told me that resets every task, I thought it was only to reset his task.
It's the fail safe, sort of like resetting your slayer streak with Turael.
@@Rakupenda Ah gotcha thx, im just so upset, i had all my blocks except gilman moonlight antelope. And then reset...
I did it once by accident too. "Oh what's this extra piece of dialogue do? uh oh..."
So with blocking u mean giving the low tier hunters the task u dont want right?
Correct.
@@Rakupenda i want to do this on my main non iron from 96 to 99 still good method u think?
Yeah sure. Whatever gets the job done.
LUCKY NUMBER 1
where are the maniacal monkeys? AFK and good xp
Does one have to be clinically insane 200m in any skill
not really, 200m at 200k/hr is only 80 hours which isn't too bad
I chose 5. I was not right. :)
I HATE butterflies rumors
2:40 i also love cunter experience
shhhh lol
I hate net traps they feel so slow to set and dismantle
Wait, have you been banned?
No...?
Final herbi was 7
ayy i was right it was 1 :)
im not trying to be a hater but if all the vids in ur series doesn't get this kind of viewership do you think its worthwhile going for 200m xp? maybe channel this energy and motivation into something else? idk
Could be worthwhile linking this channel off to a twitch starting a twitch and trying to build something there and get that sweet sweet twitch prime money or something idfk
@@kamio932 Appreciate the concern but I didn't start going for 200m because I created the series hoping to make a career out of it. I was already pursuing 200m all before the series started. The series is just to document and share the journey so I can look back on it in the future. I regret not starting to make videos until recently. I wish I had clips of my first tbow, my 500 ToA solo, etc and this is aiming to rectify that going forward. If y'all get enjoyment out of my process and I make a bit of ad revenue, too, that's all a bonus.
In regards to streaming and Twitch: what you see in the videos is a highly edited version of me that I can fully control, review and tailor to be the message I want. I am not suited to be entertaining for hours on end with no filter. It's a totally different platform and skillset to succeed over there and frankly I don't think I'm cut out for it.
You sound a bit like slayermusic with a better mic
i'll never forget
MomeyDragon did it first
That's not a minigame tho.
It's 6
bro it takes so fucking long to set up this block list good lord
no kidding i am on 4 hours of doing this with only 1 thing properly blocked,
Yep. Took me most of the first day to get everything in order, especially the novice.
@@Rakupenda managed to get it all setup. this shits chill and great xp
but did you get pet
Oh we got pet.
There are a million reasons to never get a skill to 200m however
This is the real video i want to see
5
thanks for suffering so I dont have to
5
nooooo i would have lost
eh
7
i shoulda cheated , looking like a fool right now
5 :D
You should donate your brain to science if you are willing to get 200m in any skill.
i'm not going to be doing rumours sorry
You do you, boo.
@@Rakupenda thank you for being understanding
Why the f would you want this much xp. Makes 0 sense
Yes.
If you currently has a rumour :') I had to rewatch a couple times to make sure my ears didn't deceive me lol.
