denise noe How is it any different from a guy lying about how much money he makes or a girl wearing so much makeup that she looks nothing like herself? I have told girls that my father is a Congressman and some other real crazy lies that work on shallow girls. How many people are open about big baggage or bizarre things in their past while on a first date. Like it or not, ALL courtship involves various levels of deception. How can we possibly criminalize it?

This was one of a couple episodes I felt that shouldn't have been pursued. Regardless of Tom Metcalf not being who he said he was, sex was consentual. Both parties were in the wrong.(🤔 I mean everything was fine till she found out she'd been had) Both being deceitful to get what they want(human nature at it's best).
The end result could've been avoided, for one if the parents would have left their kids to their own merits and have been alright with the real out come. Or 2) just let sleeping dogs lye and move on from it.
"The hustlers been hustled".. I don't condone the act.
So why put yourself in such situations and act surprised when you found out you were bested at your own plan. Then call it a crime. Sometimes Liv does see victims where there aren't. The only true victim committed suicide. Sadly that could've been avoided all together...

That area is so gray it’s sprouting hairs. If it’s a public place or you own the residency, you can video tape. This one also depends on where you live. Each state and city has different rules. But if it’s your residence or a public place, anything goes. However, if it is your residence and you record sexual acts without the person’s consent and make them public, it’s illegal and considered promoting prostitution. It’s also a violation of the person. Recording sex acts in public? That’s up in the air.

While it doesn't make the victims very admirable he's deliberately manipulating them which is so sick. She's a victim because she couldn't sleep her daughter's way into an ivy league college that she openly admits her daughter isn't smart enough for? So since she got scammed she's a victim but on the other hand if it actually worked she'd be arrested for cheating her way into college. In real life this case would be eviscerated by the media calling these women out for trying to take a seat away from another child that actually worked hard to get there.

I remember that one episode with the webcam girl who couldn't any longer do her sexcam stuff because of a guy who took it a bit too seriously. And at the end of the show, Olivia said about one of her female detectives-I can't remember her name offhand-that "she only wanted" that webcam girl "to be able to do whatever she wanted in life," or something close to that. But that to me shows a _huge_ disconnect from reality, as _nobody_ can just "do what they wanted in life," because that's just not reality.
