This is a super cool cleaner, I’ve never seen or heard of it! I’d LOVEEEE to see a mess test with it, I bet those duel brushrolls perform great!

My family had one of these in the early 2000s and my mother and father both absolutely hated the thing. They would frequently have to remove clogs from the very small openings on the base of the head and cleaning the filters was a disgusting job. I personally find it cool looking back at it, but even as a kid I didn't particularly like it either. It reminded me of pushing a lawn mover across the carpet from the shape of the base.

Hey Richard I think you should upgrade The Post-Moter Filter to a True Hepa Media Cartridge Filter so The Vacuum Cleaner will clean better!

It sounds almost similar to a shark navigator vacuum.

@@richardbilot608 This one was made in the USA. They had vacuum plants in Ohio, Texas, and Mexico. This one was made in Texas according to the "EPA Est. No. 23781-TX-1. "TX" means Texas, "OH" is Ohio, and "Mex" means Mexico. The Elites and the carpet cleaners were made in Ohio along with the electric motors and cords. The Texas plant made the most of the Windtunnel models, and before 2002, all of them. The cheaper non self-propelled models, both bagged and bagless, got made in Mexico starting that year (not the V2, Dual V, and self-propelled as these stayed in Texas). These V2's, Dual V's, and Savvy's actually had Ametek Lamb motors in them, but the other Hoovers had their own motors in them made in house.

@@richardbilot608 I thought that it might have a motor to drive the brush roll, but I don't know either.

It is gear driven. No belt. That is its fallacy and its weakness. Like the Electrolux 1425 Upright of the 1970's with its magnetic clutch system, the Windtunnel V2 uses a complex arrangement of gears to power the quad-brushroll layout. These gears being made of course from the finest Chinesium Hoover could buy. They have too much tolerance in them and they clatter around too much which leads to them wearing out fast and eventually breaking. This is why the vacuum is so rare today. Of course today you likely can remake them with 3D printing no problem at all, or make a mold with 3D printing and then forge them with cast metal to do what Hoover should have done to begin with.

@@huskyvacs Someone needs to come up with a good beltless vacuum system.

This one was made in July of 2003 because the first four numbers of the serial number are 0703.
