What fantastic idea. I used to work for a fashion designer in Paris for over 5 years. She used to work for the Thierry Mugler before opening her own boutiques in Le Marais. She gave me loads of beautiful fabric scraps and échantillons that, after nearly 13 years, I've never done anything with. This seems like the perfect project to do them justice. Also, it a great way for me to get back into sewing. ❤

You are going to be absolutely drowned in scales. I’ll ask my crafty friends to join in too, because it’s a simple project with so much leeway! As long as the tops can be sewn, they can be made of virtually anything!
Your project reveals are THE BEST! Not only do we get to see the project’s final form (at that point in time), but we get to see it so glammed up in a creative and hilarious fashion that it’s like getting all the glitter and spice you could ever want!

I'm 1000% starting TODAY! Ok, enough exclamation points....I absolutely LOVED the Barbie bag and the reveal was brilliant. All of your reveal reels are brilliant. :) All of your projects are so varied and interesting and so I am always suprised by what doesn't do well on YT. That's a beautiful idea! I'll be diving into my cabbage patch for sure. It's a same you don't need metal scales because I'm an armourer and I have a lot of brass sraps laying around.
Just make sure you pad them well & add on to the package something like "Brass parts for costume," as I am not sure metal won't set off alarms at Postal processing places ?!

This comunity projekt is such a cool idea! The little scales could be a fun little side acticity, when I want something small to craft, but there is no brain left for the big projects. So I just rescued a handfull of scaps of shiney silver fabric from my scrap heap. Sometimes the hoarding pays off!

When you use elf ears, you can make them look even more realistic if you put a little foundation and then powder your foundation and then some powder and you can totally do different things with them

The fabric is very shiny, and I have a lot of other shiny things I can add to them. This will actually really help me out because I wanted to test some new techniques, but don't want to waste materials. 🥰

I stumbled upon you out of nowhere (searching up a lot of swing tutorials probably had nothing to do with it XD) But omg I can feel your pain, I decided that As an introduction to sewing I Will make a dragon shoulder puppet and scale the whole 2,5m long thing...i lost county around 2 thousand individualy cut, shaped and painted eva foam scales and it's still not enough XD Best of luck with your project ^^ ❤
You should do YT shorts out of your reveals! The work is done already, just choose a 10-15 seconds cut of it, a sentence on the top and here we go, the TH-cam algorithm loves the shorts, needs it! One reveal could even be more than one short. The Barbie reveal was amazing loved it almost as much as the Marie-Antoinette’s pockets one…

The Barbie car handbag is my all time favourite video. I love the entire process, and the reveal is brilliant and makes me happy. I watch it when I'm cranky, or need some inspiration. A definite comfort watch for me! Also, I think you're about to receive a shit tonne of scales!
If you don't have convenient access to a printer, open the pattern on your screen, hold up a ruler to set the zoom just right so it's the correct size, and then gently trace with a felt tip pen onto some light paper, like gift wrap tissue!
You did great things in 2023. Your editing and reveals get better every episode. My favorite was the witch. It was such a complete outfit and so eye catching. I would love to see a version 2.0 on the pumpkin dress. It was an ambitious idea. You picked a perfect project for the community. Simple enough for everyone to contribute and still allow individual creativity. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with this year.

If you don't have convenient access to a printer, open the pattern on your screen, hold up a ruler to set the zoom just right so it's the correct size, and then gently trace with a felt tip pen onto some light paper, like gift wrap tissue!

My favorite was the witch. It was such a complete outfit and so eye catching. I would love to see a version 2.0 on the pumpkin dress. It was an ambitious idea. You picked a perfect project for the community. Simple enough for everyone to contribute and still allow individual creativity.
