The half destroyed gown looks like something from a fantasy movie that instantly makes cosplayers scream with joy and want to rush home to make their own version. Bravo
I get it. No matter how many beautiful dresses you make, there is still always the next thing to do to fill the void. It's the blessing and curse of being creative!! ❤
I love the destroyed version! I used to be a cake decorator and the fate of my creations was to literally turn into sh*t so I'm not too attached to the final product of my work, whatever the medium.
How about leaving some of the 'burnt' samples out, like on an inspiration board, to inspire you later, down the road. We do tend to forget really cool outcomes like this, and this one was fantastique!!!
I know you put an insane amount of work into the original dress, but I much prefer the destroyed version. It's gorgeous and slightly macabre. Love it. 🖤
People don't realise how often garments were altered, recut and redesigned historically. I think the end result was fascinating... Instead of glasses you could have gone for a half mask.... Very fantastical
I love the use of the heat gun and the effects you got with it! I think it was worth 'destroying' the first dress to get to the end result here. (Although I would call it 'deconstruction' and 'reconstruction', not 'destruction'.) The addition of the gold moth/ butterfly on the glasses frame was really smart
Absolutely worth it! The other dress was a copy of someone else's work, but this is a very original piece of art that would impress any audience at any ball. C'est magnifique!
It was already worth it due to the exploration part. it looked so fun to explore all the different outcomes and cool effects. the final version with all the textures is just chef‘s kiss. Also the glasses 💖
I was one of the ones freaking out about you “destroying” the dress, but it looks like you reincarnated it instead! I think it turned out amazing! And I think your instinct to leave the butterflies off was spot-on. The butterfly “glasses” are inspired though. Love it!
I liked the old dress, but I LOVE this new one!!! This version has so much character, it's like it is telling a whole story with it's design ♥ It's so cool and I'm happy to see the gorgeous tulle skirt from the dark Cinderella dress again!
Oh wow!!!! It's better than I could have possibly imagined when you said you would destroy the dress! You kept the essence of the original and created an even more elegant and gorgeous dress😍💕
There's always something to be said for not getting too attached to an artwork and challenging yourself to go with the flow of these more abstracted, loosey goosey designs. I think it turned out great! Learning to trust your artistic instincts is a process and sometimes getting messy and letting loose is the best way to do that
11:28 nice transition! Good call on leaving the butterflies off the dress. You did a great job distressing and changing it. I hope you do more projects with the heat warped/burnt fabric.
I think I like the second version better than the first. It's all out there as more of a concept sort of like the runway outfits that are more art than clothes As for opinions it's your channel and your stuff. Have fun!
I've been so excited to see the destroyed dress and you have not disappointed 😍 I love the shape the destroyed bustle gives to the full skirts and the textures are divine. Superb work 🎉
okay, I really liked how the undestroyed dress looked but I got to be honest, I LOVE the destroyed version even more. if I were still in high school I would have worn it to prom and if I were famous I'd wear it on a red carpet, it's such a statement piece and a work of art!!
I'm absolutely blown away at this transformation! You are creating wearable Fine Art, kinda Thierry Mugler inspired maybe? It must be so incredibly exciting to find these new textures to mold and shape into this masterpiece!!!😻
The original was great sure, but man I love this tattered fantasy so much more - absolutely stunning. And the masquerade glasses are such a stroke of genius!
Oh, hey! You included my comment! Groovy 😊 Seriously, I like where you went with this concept. It's like the first dress was designed by Estella and the second by Cruella.
They are both dresses fit for a red carpet; I think they are beautiful in their own way. The fist one had a fun shape and this one has a lot of fun textures. Really cool 😄
This is the most creative destruction I've ever seen... and quite possibly my favourite of all your creations so far! It's gorgeous! (and you were right to dismiss the small butterflies in favour of the butterfly mask/glasses, such a great touch!)
I wasn't sure where you were going to go with the destruction of the dress, but I am in AWE of what you came up with!! It's absolutely gorgeous and honestly a bit spellbinding with all the different textures!! It's like if a princess was half dragon or something.
I love how excited you got with the heat gun effect! That was such a genuinely cute reaction 😆 Though I'm pretty sure you used the same technique one your Alien Egg purse. Either way, I loooove the effect it gives. The original dress you made was fabulous and elegant and classy, but I have to say that the "destroyed" version is my favorite. It honestly looks like a Met Gala look (I say, as if I've ever watched the Met Gala and have not only seen various youtubers replicate outfits). Sometimes, it truly astounds me that you're just... a youtuber, and not like a Haute Couture designer. Because I genuinely feel that this is a haute couture gown. I get an extra hit of dopamine when you use scraps from your previous projects and own collection of fabrics to make new projects like this. It's the thing all crafters aspire to do with their stashes, but you are the one to actually achieve that 😂
I love the assymetry and the sort of ruined/scarred look that the "lizard" fabric has. Would be fantastic with a Phantom of the Opera style half mask on the disintegration side, full of all those wonderful textures and a tortured, burned gold bead butterfly trying and failing the fly away. Also, loved the montage with Not My Cat. :)
the first dress was great as a recreation, but this is ART. On pourrait la voir sur un runway de grand créateur et le monde entier baverait dessus. thank you thank you thank you for listening to yourself and pushing the boundaries of creative sewing!!
I love this version so much more than the original! I especially enjoyed the glee with which you embarked on destruction! I agree that the butterflies looked cheap and I always disliked them on the live-action Cinderella's gorgeous gown.
Wow! It's like a guided age dress, but with a twist. And honestly, I think I like the destructed side more, but the beauty of the dress is that it still reads as one organic thing. Just like a pretty apple with a rotten spot on a side. Appose!
Your dress. Your work. Your choice. Only I cannot help that I winced a few times at the sound of ripping material. 4:36 so joyful. How can I not be caught up in this new project. The finale is magnificent. The textures and colours are astounding. I really like the petticoat. I could not quite get behind the glasses though.
😂I had to laugh out loud when you dragged the cat to the camera. I thought you could call him Whimsy. 😺 I loved how the dress turned out it really is amazing what you can do with scraps. I look forward to every episode.
The original dress was so beautiful and structured, but I do love the destroyed version. I like, that you destroyed not only the surface layer, but the whole shape changed as well
WOOOAH!
The "mad scientist" grin on your face as you undid the original dress makes it all worth it. The rebirth of the dress is really stunning! Well done. And congratulations on the YT milestone!! - Cathy (&, accidently, Steve), Ottawa/Bytown/Pimisi
BEAUTIFUL!!! It really tells the story of cocoon to wings...Loved your concept to redo, I do that too at times and love it. Yes I agree, to keep the butterflies off. I'm sure you will find another place for them to land. Happy Thoughts to you! xo
I'd actually would love to see whole dress made of burnt fabric, that texture is so interesting! That light yellow/blue/green fabric makes it look magical and natural at the same time.
Really like the final effect! the decision to "destroy" only half of the dress, was a good one ;) Very inspiring project. Seeing your dark bedroom, reminded me of an idea I had when you painted it. Have you considered adding a frosted effect pattern on the glass sliding doors of the wardrobe in the corner? to help blend the lines of the framing a little, like maybe some gothic arches, or garden gazebo at night?
I think the original version was beautiful. I think this new version is also equally beautiful. It was smart to stop adding the tiny butterflies. But i think less is more sometimes. Nice job
YES, YES, YES!!! Totally worth destroying the first gown - even though it was awesome, THIS IS a work of art!! I LOVE IT, so innovative and CREATIVE. Glad you ditched the butterflies, good call. ALSO - congrats on the 100K subscribers-well deserved!! You have an awesome, unique channel.
Personally, I LOVE deconstructed/weathered clothing its my vibe! I do similar stuff in my own art practices but more with book arts rather than clothing💜
While i am sad it was destroyed, the joy i felt while watching you happily destroy and learn how heat affects/effects your fabric outweighs it. 😊 You keep doing you and following your joy.
I think even Cruella herself would love this! This is so amazing, and as an 18 year old, seeing your face light up while creating makes me glad and excited to be a designer too!
Yay for trusting the process! Honestly, if you enjoyed the experience as much as it appears, I would say that it was worth it. I do like a good juxtaposition, and the transition across the bodice especially turned out well. I hope you are having fun, and send my regards to not-your-cat.
That is such an amazing piece of art! both forms are beautiful, however, I definitely find this one, where you take a leap of faith and let your creativity guide you, to be much more inspiring! great work on both your dresses!
The gleeful mad scientist vibes are immaculate. Love to see folks get super pumped about their passions, and your excitement is contagious! Off to destroy my own creations 😈
Oh my goodness this turned out incredible! I am dazzled by the burning and the dramatic contrast of the gold and black! Wow! Delighted to watch this. 💜

The half destroyed gown looks like something from a fantasy movie that instantly makes cosplayers scream with joy and want to rush home to make their own version. Bravo
it reminds me of school for good and evil
Let´s change the phrase: Trust the process into trust the Hazariel. It looks amazing, i prefer this so much over the first version.
I love the final result! It’s so glamorous and creepy at the same time-like something a swamp witch would wear to a fancy gala or award show 💚
exactly!! this should have a heart!
Oh gosh the textures on this dress became so complex and delicious! Really really big fan!
I get it. No matter how many beautiful dresses you make, there is still always the next thing to do to fill the void. It's the blessing and curse of being creative!! ❤
It is never over✨✨
I love the destroyed version! I used to be a cake decorator and the fate of my creations was to literally turn into sh*t so I'm not too attached to the final product of my work, whatever the medium.
Haha!!
😂
It's probably one of my favorite dresses on this channel! It's utterly gorgeous. (also Bébou in a basket is the cutest thing
Oh thank you!
How about leaving some of the 'burnt' samples out, like on an inspiration board, to inspire you later, down the road. We do tend to forget really cool outcomes like this, and this one was fantastique!!!
The first dress was beautiful. Such a great shape. The second dress is art. And I adore them both. Great work!
I know you put an insane amount of work into the original dress, but I much prefer the destroyed version. It's gorgeous and slightly macabre. Love it. 🖤
The butterflies did make the dress cheap looking. Your ideas worked out just right!
People don't realise how often garments were altered, recut and redesigned historically. I think the end result was fascinating... Instead of glasses you could have gone for a half mask.... Very fantastical
this looks like the perfect dress for a crzay over-the-top fairy godmother
I love it
and I'm down for more creative destruction !!
The Glenn Close Cruella is ICONIC ✨✨ thank you for shouting out her performance, it deserves more credit
this dress makes you look like a villain in the best way possible, mixing the fanciful and the chaotic!
Absolutely worth it! The other dress was a copy of someone else's work, but this is a very original piece of art that would impress any audience at any ball. C'est magnifique!
worth it! and the half and half thing works really well. The overall impression is stunning and fascinating!
of course the old dress is stunning but i think it's wonderful that you reuse materials.
I prefer this version to the original. This is something I would actually wear. Awesome job
Love it!

This version has so much character, it's like it is telling a whole story with it's design ♥
It's so cool and I'm happy to see the gorgeous tulle skirt from the dark Cinderella dress again!
I love it, it's a Vivian Westwood crossed with Fae fantasy.
I love the destruction dress! It's so interesting with the textures and you managed to blend them so seamlessly. You are such a a joy to watch!!!
Oh wow!!!! It's better than I could have possibly imagined when you said you would destroy the dress! You kept the essence of the original and created an even more elegant and gorgeous dress😍💕
I was horrified to see the destruction of the first dress; however, after seeing the end results of the recreation…I get it! Nicely done!
This turned out AMAZING. And 100% in the spirit of Cruella and Jenny Beavan's vision for the styles and dresses. SO SO GOOD!
Yes!!!
There's always something to be said for not getting too attached to an artwork and challenging yourself to go with the flow of these more abstracted, loosey goosey designs. I think it turned out great! Learning to trust your artistic instincts is a process and sometimes getting messy and letting loose is the best way to do that
I absolutely, undeniably, adore this dress! The textures, the colors, the transitional elements, just everything!
I LOVEE the final piece it gives like a more original design of your own that’s totally Cruella De Vil in your style ❤
This dress is ABSOLUTELY MAGICAL!! I loved the original dress but THIS one is the dress I would wear!! Feral Beauty!!
11:28 nice transition! Good call on leaving the butterflies off the dress. You did a great job distressing and changing it. I hope you do more projects with the heat warped/burnt fabric.
Yes, I'm hoping for something lizardy- crocodilian!
I didn’t want to see the destruction, but OMG! The destroyed version is a masterpiece!
I LOVE IT! It's like a high fashion, frankenstein, moth carapace extravaganza!! Glam and gloom, all in one!
The combination of the dress with the glasses makes it look like you're drowning in your own chaos and enjoying every second of it 👌
I think I like the second version better than the first. It's all out there as more of a concept sort of like the runway outfits that are more art than clothes
As for opinions it's your channel and your stuff. Have fun!

This looks like a dress that could be worn at the Met Gala! (I am not sure what the theme would be but something very esoteric.) Amazing work!!
I'm absolutely blown away at this transformation! You are creating wearable Fine Art, kinda Thierry Mugler inspired maybe? It must be so incredibly exciting to find these new textures to mold and shape into this masterpiece!!!😻
Wow the destroyed version is beautiful!!! I bet the butterfly would make a great masquerade mask. This whole project is extraordinary ❤
Awesome. Both dresses are! We are just here to watch you work and enjoy the bonus Bébou content :)
Thank you so much 🤗
The original was great sure, but man I love this tattered fantasy so much more - absolutely stunning. And the masquerade glasses are such a stroke of genius!
The large butterfly as a hat/hair decoration would be good, too.

5:07 I was so relieved when you put on the mask! The textured effect is so cool.
I wasn't sure where you were going to go with the destruction of the dress, but I am in AWE of what you came up with!! It's absolutely gorgeous and honestly a bit spellbinding with all the different textures!! It's like if a princess was half dragon or something.
I admit that i didn't see the vision in the beginning, but im so glad i trusted in you cause wow, wow! It came apart then came together perfectly!
I love how excited you got with the heat gun effect! That was such a genuinely cute reaction 😆 Though I'm pretty sure you used the same technique one your Alien Egg purse. Either way, I loooove the effect it gives.

I was sad to see the original dress destroyed, but this turned out so cool I think it was worth it.
J'aime beaucoup la texture de l'organza brulé ca ferait un corset superbe
Les deux versions de la robe sont superbes et artistiques
La robe est absolument incroyable !!! J'adore l'asymétrie hehe
the first dress was great as a recreation, but this is ART. On pourrait la voir sur un runway de grand créateur et le monde entier baverait dessus. thank you thank you thank you for listening to yourself and pushing the boundaries of creative sewing!!
This looks more wearable than the first dress, I think it's cool!!! And cool concept!
I love this version so much more than the original! I especially enjoyed the glee with which you embarked on destruction! I agree that the butterflies looked cheap and I always disliked them on the live-action Cinderella's gorgeous gown.
I think it was worth it! Love the dress and the melting of the fabric, my first thought was....oooo lizard skin...so many possibilities!
I love this version! And now I need to find my heatgun and every piece of synthetic fibre in my fabric stash...
this looks SO fancy and interesting, 100% worth "destroying" the old dress to make this glorious one 😍
Wow! It's like a guided age dress, but with a twist. And honestly, I think I like the destructed side more, but the beauty of the dress is that it still reads as one organic thing. Just like a pretty apple with a rotten spot on a side. Appose!
The heat created pattern on the taffeta(?) fabric is sooooooo interesting. Pleas do a dress with it in the future :o
Lizard Woman!
Your dress. Your work. Your choice.
Only I cannot help that I winced a few times at the sound of ripping material.
4:36 so joyful. How can I not be caught up in this new project.
The finale is magnificent. The textures and colours are astounding. I really like the petticoat. I could not quite get behind the glasses though.
0:51 hey that's me! Still sad to see you rip the dress apart but the end result is incredible. I stand corrected.
You know, this is such an interesting idea! After seeing the original dress come apart, it made me want to see you do a Beldam dress!!!
😂I had to laugh out loud when you dragged the cat to the camera. I thought you could call him Whimsy. 😺
I loved how the dress turned out it really is amazing what you can do with scraps. I look forward to every episode.

I vastly prefer the "destroyed" version of this gown. Beautiful!
absolutely worth it! the textures and transitions turned out perfect!
Honestly, I love this dress more than the original! The first version was beautiful, don't get me wrong, but this one... *chefs kiss*
The "mad scientist" grin on your face as you undid the original dress makes it all worth it. The rebirth of the dress is really stunning! Well done.
And congratulations on the YT milestone!!

This result is absolutely fascinating. It really sells the idea that fabric is a sewist’s canvas.
BEAUTIFUL!!! It really tells the story of cocoon to wings...Loved your concept to redo, I do that too at times and love it. Yes I agree, to keep the butterflies off. I'm sure you will find another place for them to land. Happy Thoughts to you! xo
Woth it! Vraiment c'est un projet artistique incroyable qui t'as permis de joué avec des techniques et des textures et d'avoir du fun.
for the result, the blue colour on the organza is giving the fire effect, THIS IS UNPREDICTED DETAIL, INSANE!! GOD I LOV IT
I'd actually would love to see whole dress made of burnt fabric, that texture is so interesting! That light yellow/blue/green fabric makes it look magical and natural at the same time.
Honestly it’s my favorite thing you’ve ever made 😭 It’s just so cool and inspired

amazing 🤩 it really looks like the dress has literally become a butterfly cocoon
I love that the dress has a split personality. It looks awesome and is most certainly a statement piece ❤😊
I think the original version was beautiful.
I think this new version is also equally beautiful.
It was smart to stop adding the tiny butterflies.
But i think less is more sometimes. Nice job

The burnt-edges transition on the bust and down the side is simply brilliant. Such a cool dress! Love the asymmetry
Honestly, I thnk this dress is gorgeous in and of itself! I loved the original too! You're so creative and fun!
It can be fun to tear apart something you made to see how well you made it, and how hard it is to pull apart. and then reuse the parts.
The final result is gorgeous 😍 trust the process!
Oh my goodness this turned out incredible! I am dazzled by the burning and the dramatic contrast of the gold and black! Wow! Delighted to watch this. 💜
And THE GLASSES 🤩
the green fabric warped into such a beautiful texture, I love it!!!
Kinda on theme for the met gala this year
