The fringe treatment on the optic fiber is excellent - made me think of jellyfish! - and the translucent spots really worked out as well 🤩 You always add a layer of creativity I wouldn't have thought of, so inspiring ❤️
Reusing the fiber optic cape for a jelly fish project would be so cool ! Instead of the red wool mushroom one, it could be a shiny blue/white organza fabric for the translucent effect and with hanging curly strands of mousseline ! 😍
Since you've done the fiber optic cape, all I can think about is Cinderella's fairy godmother cape. It just needs to be blue, shiny and glittery. Also, I love this mushroom cape and it's ethereal
The fringe!!! It's a game changer, made that cute but stiff cape look way less plastic and all the movement add so much to the final result! What an adorable design, love that you mix techniques so much. Always learn new things!
Love how you incorporate incredibly time consuming processes to create exactly the desired effect. Also appreciate your use of existing materials rather than just buying new supplies each time.
I made a simpler version (no fiber optics and a few less details) of this for the Renaissance Faire today and got so many compliments! Thanks for the inspiration :) I learned to felt for it and everything. You were right, very satisfying. Merci beaucoup!
In the end I think things worked just as well with the white dress instead of the shorts. It felt like a unified mushroom costume and really let the hood get to shine (pun intended)! I could image one of Brian Froud's woodland faeries or gnomes wearing something like this as camouflage from nosy humans during the day, then dancing together in the woods at night.
This turned out so cute! I do love when you reflect on the process-what you liked/disliked/learned from it, that’s something I would have loved at the end of this video! Eved if you already did it for the glowing fabric. 🍄
I love the little touches like the lights shining through the lace spots. I think it came out the perfect length too with the fringing, it stopped the fibreoptic fabric looking stiff and shapeless. The felting worked perfectly too for that organic look (years ago for college I made a autumn themed outfit with a corset out of hand felted wool and lots of felted leaves sewn onto a long skirt so your project reminded me how much I love felting!) Really great job!
Oh, now you've gone and done it! Mushrooms are my absolute favorite thing! They are so whimsical! This one has tiny ball fringe, light fringe, felted colors, and even crystal raindrops! 🥺 I just adore how it turned out! It's the perfect use for the fiber optic material. Wishing I had a little girl. I'd make her this for Halloween with the bloomers and a basket covered in moss! So cute! 🍄🍄🍄
I LOVE the felting! felting spots in place seems so obvious and genius! you have inspired me! And the end result is amazing of course! I have seen many mushroom costumes and love them all but this is the one that made me want to attempt it myself. Thank you Ariel! Also, I hadn't realised I'd never heard 'chandelier' pronounced by a French person before, but I love that pronunciation, seems obvious now from what little I know of French that it should be pronounced like that! I've learnt a lot today from this video!
This is so cool and turned out so well that I’m a little sad that the reveal part of the video isn’t longer! Would’ve loved to see the finished piece in closer detail for longer! Awesome result though 😍👏🍄
The way you used felting for the colors and to bind the lace was absolutely genius! It turned out beautifully, I love how the spots look when illuminated. The wool gives the whole thing a lovely weight as well. Super cute piece, you did a great job as always!
If I were a 100 yo piece of dusty musty trim who got rescued from a gross basement I would be honored to be used in this piece. You put so much care and skill into your pieces. Can't wait to see what's next 😍
Fantastic!!!! I have never seen Felting done on a large scale, and that plus the circles, are giving me IDEAS ! (I'm a sculptor). The colors of everything are perfect & I love that you used what you have on hand. I LOVE your voice, as well. It is just so relaxing & a bit musical. And your smile brightens the room ! All in all, PERFECT 🥰
Girl your videos have gotten so much better! I've watched almost all of your videos, and can see the progress in every one. At this point I'd argue you're one of the best edited channels out there! I hope you explode soon!!! Edit: In popularity. You know what I mean.
This was so fun to watch. Not only did your project turn out amazing and lovely, but also the editing made it so entertaining. I love how organic the hood turned out. Favorite part was the montage, it was so fun.
Absolutely gorgeous work 😍 Just an fyi in case there are other wool-allergy sufferers here, you can needle felt acrylic and even make your own roving from acrylic yarn 😁 I dislike using plastic, but I don't want to be covered in hives so 🤷♀️
The costume is soooo cool and cute !! Maybe do a red felted coat you can pair underneath for a full red riding / mushroom look !! And some more felting techniques would be cool loved the wolf/ fox head mask !! Plus the light up cape would be cool as a snow queen/Elsa look !!
Love how much fun you have with your projects, how sensible you are in resource use/reuse, and how cleverly you edit together the footage! I'm certain that your channel will continue to grow, hopefully allowing you to make it your primary work - you share with us the perfect combo of humour, unique creativity, and skill!
I LOVE the creative use of the felting with this project. Using it with the tulle and lace was such a unique and beautiful solution! For a scrap busting solution I give it 10 million stars. 🌟 And the glowing cape underneath? Perfection.😁 love your channel
This is adorable! ♥ I really love that the strands on the bottom aren't just straight too - I never would have thought about how much of a difference that haircut would make!
So FANTASTIC that you've made something that can be cool in the daylight and the dark! Biggest problem with that fiberoptic fabric seems to be that it really is boring most of the time.
The dots for the mushroom is such a cool technique! Edit: that is not wear i thought you were going with actually cutting the cape! Hope to see more of it!
I love this! So cute and a different take on mushroom Headwear! Love the felting gradient!! Also, the name of the seam binding stitch you're using is called a Fell stitch! So you're hand felling it down. (I learned that from Bernadette!)
Needle felting! This is such a good idea for decorating a wool cape. It looks amazing! You did a great job combining all the elements to elevate the cape. It is a very nice costume. Your makeup during the reveal is so cute, it makes you forget how poisonous this mushroom may be.
As a leathercrafter and larper ( long time ago now tho ) this really gives me a cute overdose..and such an appreciation of your art and skills. What a wonderful video. You look stunning as a forest shroom fairy 🤓👍
Ohhh to pretty!! And so much fun! That was a lot of work but it is priceless! You are a very clever woman ;) Thank you for taking us on this journey with you. Hope this finds you and yours happy and healthy ;)
this is the most magical thing I've seen! I love your little dances and goofing around to show all the beauty and magic of the optic fabric, but the cape makes it really a fairytale moment
I squealed when I saw your inspiration photo of Rachel (@Rachel Maksey). I’ve watched her for years… when she won the Nyx Face Awards she decided to go full-time as a TH-camr and over the years has become so successful. Your videos are so fun AND informative… I know your channel will continue to grow too! BTW I loved the whole felting process… not only was it satisfying, but so, so, pretty!!!
This was such an adorable costume piece! I play a mushroom fae character, and her color scheme is pink, white, green, and brown. I based her off of the wrinkled peach mushroom, and this gave me inspiration for an entire winter/Christmas ensemble for her. Thank is amazing! ♥
Oh my goodness this turned out so beautiful. I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!! I adore the felting details, both on the bottom of the wool cape and around the layers of lace for the spots. Such a great organic detail that packs such a great pinch of color and texture. I love the effect of the fiber optic cape and the way you trimmed it is so gorgeous. I love that organic edge, it adds so much to the over all shape and natural texture. Even the lights shining through look so much more natural because of the way you cut them. I love this cape and I hope you find occasions to wear it out. It’s extra in the best way.
I really hope your channel thrives. You are fantastically entertaining on camera! I was very intrigued by your innovations with the felt and fiber optic fabric, it is so beautiful! But the shorts were SO CUTE! Hopefully you can make them later
Thank you for watching♥️

This might be the coolest costume I've ever seen. Stellar! 😊 Thanks!
we are all living vicariously through your costuming shenanigans and I'm here for it
Awwww
I agree!!
The fringe treatment on the optic fiber is excellent - made me think of jellyfish! - and the translucent spots really worked out as well 🤩 You always add a layer of creativity I wouldn't have thought of, so inspiring ❤️
That's what it made me think of: jellyfish! Thank you, I had 'this also reminds me something else' but I couldn't pinpoint what it was.
Reusing the fiber optic cape for a jelly fish project would be so cool !
Instead of the red wool mushroom one, it could be a shiny blue/white organza fabric for the translucent effect and with hanging curly strands of mousseline ! 😍
You are bringing us the Fun in Fungus !
Since you've done the fiber optic cape, all I can think about is Cinderella's fairy godmother cape. It just needs to be blue, shiny and glittery. Also, I love this mushroom cape and it's ethereal
I like how the colour-shifting cape looks psychedelic: it is perfect for a mushroom theme
The fringe!!! It's a game changer, made that cute but stiff cape look way less plastic and all the movement add so much to the final result! What an adorable design, love that you mix techniques so much. Always learn new things!
The felting process for the cape was so interesting! And a really cute result 🍄
It's a really cool technique! Heard about it for felted teddybear projects 🧸
Completely agree! It was a brilliant way to add bits of colour, and smart way to get the spots on too!
Imagine wandering through a fall forest at night, and seeing a circle of these mushroom fairies dancing under an old, gnarly oak.
Love how you incorporate incredibly time consuming processes to create exactly the desired effect. Also appreciate your use of existing materials rather than just buying new supplies each time.
I think the transparent spots turned out so well! This is so incredibly cute
This is one is just S O C U T E ! One of my favourite Ariel costumes. Love the little "haircut", it adds something magical 🌟🍄🌟

This turned out so cute! I do love when you reflect on the process-what you liked/disliked/learned from it, that’s something I would have loved at the end of this video! Eved if you already did it for the glowing fabric. 🍄
I've never seen needle felting used like this before, this cape is so cool!
I've been really enjoying your videos lately, you have so much creativity and its all incredibly inspiring. My cat loves you too!!
I love every cat 😻
I have no idea what it will look like but I already know I will love it xx
Fraying all the threads along the hem was BRILLIANT. It looks so gooooooood!!!!

Scissors being used as a full sized 🎤 is 👍
Keep up the hilarious shenanigans
The close up of the bandaid in the montage killed me 😂 haha another amazing video, thank you so much! ❤️
I adore this mushroom hooded cape! The optic fiber hood underneath could also look nice as a jellyfish.
😙🤌 such good crunchy stabbing noises. Needle felting is soo satisfying! I love how whimsical is turned out ❤️🍄

Never seen anyone fringe the fiber optic fabric. Cool. Love the white spots that glow
you creativity never fails to impress me omg. using felt to secure non felt fabric to wool? genius
Your editing is getting so good! That montage was *chefskiss* magnifique 💕
edit :and the shroom is amazing too, of course
I had the same thought!
So lovely! When the lights turn on it's business on the cap, party in the gills. XD
Absolutely gorgeous work 😍

Thank you!!! Every time I think, 'oh, I really need to start wool felting!' I remember how much my skin loves wool touching it.
The costume is soooo cool and cute !! Maybe do a red felted coat you can pair underneath for a full red riding / mushroom look !! And some more felting techniques would be cool loved the wolf/ fox head mask !! Plus the light up cape would be cool as a snow queen/Elsa look !!
Non seulement la cape est incroyable mais le meuble apothicaire dans le fond est magnifique 😳 Une vidéo de qualité en somme !

You were very brave to cut the fringe on the fiber optic cape, It turned out amazingly!
the disco fringe is everything I didn't know I needed in my life
This is adorable! ♥ I really love that the strands on the bottom aren't just straight too - I never would have thought about how much of a difference that haircut would make!
It's lovely! There's a lot of fiber-optic sewing around lately, but this is the most creative use of it by far
So FANTASTIC that you've made something that can be cool in the daylight and the dark! Biggest problem with that fiberoptic fabric seems to be that it really is boring most of the time.
The dots for the mushroom is such a cool technique!

Sweeet 😍 a closer look on the lace-layered-dots with the lighting through would be much appreciated 👀
I love this! So cute and a different take on mushroom Headwear! Love the felting gradient!!
Also, the name of the seam binding stitch you're using is called a Fell stitch! So you're hand felling it down. (I learned that from Bernadette!)
At 9:00, that is called a whip stitch! Beautiful costume, and it was nice to hear about how pleasant felting can be!
Needle felting! This is such a good idea for decorating a wool cape. It looks amazing! You did a great job combining all the elements to elevate the cape. It is a very nice costume. Your makeup during the reveal is so cute, it makes you forget how poisonous this mushroom may be.
