Interesting. The “old money” families I know spend most of their time in wellies, jeans and Barbours and are too concerned with keeping the family estate running to bother about clothes too much ... except that their jumpers are inevitably cashmere or Brora and quite expensive. They drive cheap old cars but wear Omegas or Patek Philippe ... and, of course, the furniture is all inherited.
@@8888-j8f You're the one who asked for advice, so I gave it to you. This isn't a modern dress or urban streetwear channel. Anna's are probably clip-ons or magnetics. Nothing wrong with other people having them if that is their style and the look they want to project, but it doesn't go with the kind of look this channel is giving advice on.
Just watched your interview (must be old or new, no idea) where the host (female) was so rude and condescending! Loved the way you handled yourself with poise and dignity. You go girl! Much ♥️
I live in Canada where it's really REALLY cold in winter. Even with a taxi, you can't get over a snowbank in nice boots without ruining them. My best winter trick when going out is to bring shoes and leave my boots at the coat check. That and own beautiful thermal layers in merino wool in neutral colors like ivory. I can layer them with cashmere, look luxe, and still be incredibly comfortable.
@@aashibliss2164 it depends where you're going in Canada. It's a very big country with a variety of climates. If you let me know where you're going I'd gladly give you some clothing recommendations.
@@aashibliss2164 Oh, and no one tells newcomers about the salt. The streets and sidewalks are salted to keep ice from building up in winter. Hi Anna! I like winter for makeup, in the summer it’s so hot and humid my makeup melts off so I have to wear very little. In the winter I can have more dramatic and creative looks.
So refreshing to see a video on dressing for winter from someone who actually experiences winter! Yes - winter is snow and ice and temperatures of -25C and colder! Yes - it means walking on icy and slushy sidewalks! And yes, it means dressing in lavish layers to stay warm and cozy! I had the most beautiful and refreshing walk to the train this morning wearing layers of navy with leopard and plaid accessories. There was snow on the ground and stars in the sky and it felt so good to breath the crisp, clean morning air. We are so blessed to have the full spectrum of seasons and the varied wardrobes to match. Love from Canada :)

I love this video! Anna, you get the credit for bringing women’s fashions back to elegant, classic, feminine looks and for popularizing the equestrienne look. Remember the torn plaid shirts of the 90s? It’s time to look like ladies again.

Shape wear helps you keep warm as well. Also, layering good materials really is key. I grew up, and live, in the north of Sweden and those two things are a great tip to keeping warm.

@@contessanyc4572 A lot of women are not fortunate enough to have mothers who know any better themselves, and are thus unable to impart this sort of wisdom. I myself was quite lucky in this regard, to have had a mother who was both an artist and who knew all of this and much more, and to have both of us been born into the "right" circles in which it was well-known, so I grew up steeped in it, but not everyone is so blessed. Channels and blogs and books like Anna's can be real godsends for those who did *not* learn this stuff growing up or later.

I love gloves and hats! I think that is the best way to be more elegant. I feel uncomfortable to wear hats because i rarely see someone to wear in my city, but i love them.
Layering in monochrome is very fashionable this year. An advantage is that it makes us look taller. But it can be boring, so be sure and add interest by incorporating lots of different textures if you're going to dress in one color.
Anna, could you make a video of how to look classy in Summer, I’m from South Florida and I find very difficult to look classy in here with this extremely hot weather. Thank you ❤️
In a world full of people who no longer take pride in their appearance when going out to nice places, you are a true beacon of hope. Thank you so much for sharing.
Thank you for addressing hosiery. I’ve had this debate with many ladies online. I feel that hosiery is timeless, classy and lady like. I only wear hosiery when it’s between 50 and 70 degrees (spring/fall) when it’s too cold to go bare legged but not cold enough for tights. However many people say that hosiery, especially flesh toned (my color is coffee) is out of style and dated. I’m in my mid 40s so I realize that I might have some old fashioned ideas but you have clarified things for me very well!! Thank you!
I appreciate your beauty and class, but I don't live in a high class environment, and I don't anticipate ever doing so.I do walk a lot and take buses, which keeps me looking much younger.I agree about the coats.I think I have good taste, so I very rarely look cheap or tacky, even if my clothes are from the thrift shop.If you are creative and stylish, you can look good with very little.I'm happy that I don't feel like I have to prove to anyone how affluent I am.
I walk alot too. the trick to pulling off some of the elegant looksis wear clothing in natural fibers like wool , base layers and more layers I usually layer up to 3 on my top and 2 on bottom ^_^ . I usually look in between a ski bunny and a glam hiker in winter because -20F is no fun! .

Oooh that's a really good idea, especially airport outfit ideas! Sometimes a classy outfit is the difference between you being chosen over someone else for an upgrade to business or first class!
Looking like a backpacker when I travel would be a level up for me! Haha! I typically look like a bum because I want to be as comfortable as possible - so I wear old sweats, tshirt, and have my scarf in my carry on so I can tie up my hair as soon as I sit on the plane! Lol! But that's only if I'm traveling for many hours. If it's a short flight, then I'll *try* to look a little decent.
YES to all of this!!! Thank you, Anna!! 😘 I tend to be more of a warm weather person (and I’m fortunate enough to live in a mild climate) but what I love about the cold months is the ability to cover up! I don’t always like having a lot of skin showing- more so because I’m very fair skinned and my veins show easily (like spider veins on my legs 😞) and I can’t stand it when people tell me I “need a tan”. 🙄 “Uhh, thank you, but... no thank you.” lol!)
Rain is even more difficult than winter. The hardest thing is rain coat and rain boots, plus hair getting wrecked. it's almost impossible to find good things. I wonder if you would do a video with your thoughts on this. Love!
Wow, I can't believe this is 3 years ago. I have changed so much because of these videos. Anna literally helped me to gain respect for myself and style. I'll never forget this anna time
Winter is the best time to look classy. Classy clothes typically cover more skin so I’d say it’s harder to dress classy in warmer areas like where I live in California. When it’s hot and all you ever want to do is take your clothes off
Truuu. Winter is literally the time when it's the easiest to look classy and timeless. In summer its way too hot to wear anything cute and using some short and thin clothes is the only way to go if you want to stay comfortable. Take a look at Saint-Petersburg winter outfits for example and compare it to California. Way more classy and chic.
@Ava Williams I find Winter clothing to be more stylish and so many choices of combinations to wear due to the Winter weather. Winter is my very favorite season to dress for by far.
It's still perfectly possible to look chic and classy even in the hottest climates. Wear lighter (and natural) materials like linen, silk, and cotton. You are obviously not going to be wearing turtlenecks, but get pretty round-necked or boat-necked tops and dresses in a decent length (knee-length is perfect, but so is mid-calf or maxi, depending on the item), and you'll be fine.
Same here! In Australia it’s literally summer right now. That makes everything confusing, including winter-themed Christmas decorations. But that’s probably for another video 😂
I'm preparing for my winter trip to the north. I looked elegantly dressed for my fall trip to the north from airport to day to day look. Absolutely no plaid 😄 thank you Anna
Such a fun channel! One of my winter hacks that is absolutely invaluable has become a tall wedge boot. I feel I can wear the wedge boots in inclement weather and still have the benefit of a little bit of height and style, While maintaining better stability if the ground is slippery.

Well that is me every time I'm shopping, LITERALLY! and guess its never happening again THANKS TO YOU!
Haha, I love how you say “it’s impossible to wear high heels in 1 meter of snow and -30 without a car” Hahahahah, come to Russia! Seriously our middle class women are trying so hard!! @@8888-j8f You're the one who asked for advice, so I gave it to you. This isn't a modern dress or urban streetwear channel. Anna's are probably clip-ons or magnetics. If you want to look like you come from old money, you just can't have pierced ears. Nothing wrong with other people having them if that is their style and the look they want to project, but it doesn't go with the kind of look this channel is giving advice on.
thegreenmachine90 LoL what since when? Even old money in my country have pierced ears wtf?
PLEASE HELP ME WIth ACCESORIES!!
I'll be soon coming to canada as a student can u pls advice me on what to bring this fall like wardrobe essentials
@@aashibliss2164 it depends where you're going in Canada. It's a very big country with a variety of climates. If you let me know where you're going I'd gladly give you some clothing recommendations.
@@maddiebemrose8371 thank u ❤️ I am going to Ontario Peterborough 🦋
@@aashibliss2164 Oh, and no one tells newcomers about the salt. The streets and sidewalks are salted to keep ice from building up in winter. This is TERRIBLE for leather boots. 😕 They get salt stained. Your best bet are waterproof boots that are insulated and made of a material other than leather. And no Uggs!
@@ThunderPrincess2500 Good point about the salt, Tova. In Chicago, it’s all over sidewalks mostly as safety precaution so one doesn’t slip and fall.
I like how you talk about winter and show autumn/spring coats
This video has got me reflecting over new styles.
Hi Anna! Your channel has inspired me to "level up" as you put it! lol I'm on a budget, so I'm going to definitely check out consignment shops in more expensive areas and check the material at the lower-end shops (Zara). I love your content and advice and now that I'm 29, I am really ready to revamp my style to look more elegant and sophisticated. Thank you so much for your helpful content!
Turtle necks are very sexy actually, they make the chest area look amazing.
Number 1 Tip to dressing expensive in the winter: Get yourself lot of money and be ready to spend it on classy coats and boots
Cynthia Gwanfogbe A Sentaler coat will make any woman look like a million bucks. Nice luxury coats from this Canadian brand.
Coats, boots ... and taxis.
good boots are a must ! along with warm wool socks! warm and toasty!
Buy when they are on sale or off season 👢 🧥 👛 👜
I would love you to make a video for petite women, the pictures usually show these tall women model like, also for different types of bodies in the petite side
yes that would be so great, I am only 5 ft. tall and I want to look classy and elegant not "cute" please if you could would be so good. Thank you for your tutorials they are so refreshing to learn from, love it
Yes please. Same. Want to look classy but it’s hard when you’re short
I recommend dearlyBethany , she's a petite style influencer! Love her videos
The more I watch her videos, the more I love her! She is spot on with all the suggestions. Thank you Anna.
Please make video about jewellery- silver,gold..ok but what about from zara,hm etc?
I like winter for makeup, in the summer it’s so hot and humid my makeup melts off so I have to wear very little. In the winter I can have more dramatic and creative looks.
I do too because my sunkissed skin naturally looks good. Even being a dark skinned, black woman, I still get quite pale in very cold weather.
Invest in taxi with Ac lol
Yes! Tights with open toe shoes is not a classy look!!
It looks ridiculous
Emily Jane you can buy tights without the toe .But they do not look good with sandals. Peep toe shoe yes.
I'd rather be bare legged than wear tights with open toe shoes the seam showing is not classy!
I love turtlenecks too..I feel that they are classic and in a way, make a statement. Underrated. I love em💕
Dearest Anna, I am a great-granny who lives in sub-trop Florida. Not trying to be elegant but I love your vids. Your backgrounds are elegant & best of all, you do not wave your arms around.
Thank you for the advice ❤️ I'm 22 and I have been wearing hoodies, leggings and running shoes for the longest. I've been wanting to try something more classy but I had no inspiration.
Yes!! When I wear long, more conservative dresses, I get tons of compliments on how classy I look!
Good tips thank you. I wore today, a complete black outfit, head to toe, black scarf and gloves and then put a nude/cream colour jacket on. And the result looked so smart, classy and elegant looking, and different 😄
Thank you for speaking our language Ana, its really easy to dress up when you don't have to use public transport and I am so glad you touched on that
I know right! I am so obsessed with turtleneck!! Thankyou for the advice on winter ware! I live in north east USA. Its not easy to look good all winter.
Hi Anna. I'm Monika and I'm from Poland. You're so likeable !. I've watched all of your videos and I think you are a professional in what you're doing. Those pieces of advice you give are very helpful and I think many women around the world appreciate your work. All the best !.
Woman you have such a great sense of style. Make recommendations on good stores to shop at
School Of Affluence you previously mentioned that Zara is not ideal for leveling up. Or maybe there are quality passing items that we can consider purchasing from Zara?
School Of Affluence Thanks for the tips
Thank you Anna for always including Beautiful Black Women in all of your examples it means a lot.❤️
Black leather gloves are also a must 😍
Can we do a new one for Fall? not too hot anymore but also not freezing cold where you start to wear boots? Fall shoes?
being a lady is an art that is lost in the new generation. i find that more men know how to look like ladies than women.
The younger generation see this and are a bit more traditional than the generation before :)
ingrid and piercings
I have tattoos but they are not noticeable and are easily covered up, and I dress pretty similar to this.
@Joanna Livingston you are a woman, not a doll 😏
@@toni5543 I have definitely noticed this.
I love this video! Anna, you get the credit for bringing women’s fashions back to elegant, classic, feminine looks and for popularizing the equestrienne look. Remember the torn plaid shirts of the 90s? It’s time to look like ladies again.
Your baby picture is SO CUTE. ❄️♥️☃️
@@AnnaBeyOfficial I always felt like the Michelin Man too in my puffy coat, Glad I'm not alone !
I love that your firm but soft & appreciate the beautiful elegant black women you use in videos. Keep up the great work and thank you from the UK ✌️💖✌️
Will you do a video on some good stores to start shopping to imitate some of these looks? H&M, Windsor and what are some staple pieces and accessories that we should have in our closets to start with?
Shape wear helps you keep warm as well. Also, layering good materials really is key. I grew up, and live, in the north of Sweden and those two things are a great tip to keeping warm.
Dear Anna
Would you kindly put out a video for classy plus size ladies. This would help ladies like me who would like to stay stylish while they are working on their weight and health or for after pregnancy etc. That will be much appreciated xxx
Being fat is not classy
Uvwvwevwebue Onyetenyevwe Ugwemuvwen Osas she did mention that the tips would be for those that were actually putting an effort into fixing their health so I guess she knew it well, no need to re-point it out :) on that note, i hope Anna would come out with a video for post-pregnancy women too. Not everyone can put down weights quickly.
I LOVE this video!! I am a firm believer that modesty is classy.
I love these tips & your channel. So helpful in many ways.
True
It’s sad u hv to tell women the basics.. what happened to this world ? T n A Isn’t what a real women shows. It’s neck or back. Didn’t ur mothers teach u anything? Of course better fabrics( clothes) last longer than trends. Always ship in February n August for the next year. Classic clothes!!! Ok my rules that hv always worked
@@contessanyc4572 what if some women dont have mothers or aunts to tell them? Stop being mean.
I too share your love of equestrian sports, attire, fashion, all of it! One of my aunt and uncle owned a few horses. When I and my siblings and cousins were little, they use to take us riding. I thought it was the greatest experience. My love of equestrian was born!😊 Great content and video.
Wear layers (scarves, coats) and have flawless skin and a manicure!
New subscriber, chic, classy and sophistication never ever gets old. Thank so much for these videos. I am changing my image, I am entering into a new business and I will be working with Attorneys and their clients. Image is everything. I already started changing my wardrobe and my confidence has increased and the response from people I meet are so positive. They ask me what do I do now instead of me having to sell them what I do. Thank you.
4gma59
I *love* teal- it’s a deep blue-green, so it feels a bit different to what everyone else goes for.
Glad to know I can layer all the one colour.
Leather gloves which match your outfit also are a must for me. Especially when your nails don't look at its best
I rewatch this video every winter Anna!!!!
Could you make a video for college students
Thrift shop + good seamstress/tailor + coordinating scarves = elegance
I have been told all my life that I look expensive!! First comes you...and the clothes follow!
I walk alot too. the trick to pulling off some of the elegant looksis wear clothing in natural fibers like wool , base layers and more layers I usually layer up to 3 on my top and 2 on bottom ^_^ . I usually look in between a ski bunny and a glam hiker in winter because -20F is no fun! .
I always considered H&M and zara expensive. 🤣
Me too
Lol
H&M and zara are literally the cheapest
Expensive???? Then what's the cheap and affordable 🤔🤔
h &m is fast fashion over priced garbage
I love this video! Great information! One day, could you also make a video about how to look classy in hot/humid climates, for example like when on vacation? Or classy yet comfy style ideas when going through airports? (And not looking like a backpacker...lol!) :)
Consuwella Carrington what a fantastic idea! Summer is a real struggle for me as I find heat difficult to deal with so I’d really appreciate this too Anna.
@Cassie Miller That's a good idea! Will do! :)
@@ninaanwamane8967 Yes! I love traveling but sometimes trying to get to and from places and in certain climates can tend to make you look like a big sweaty mess...lol.
I love how you keep it real...I feel like you’re the big sis I never had 💗
YES to all of this!!!
Thank you, Anna!! 😘
I tend to be more of a warm weather person (and I’m fortunate enough to live in a mild climate) but what I love about the cold months is the ability to cover up! I don’t always like having a lot of skin showing- more so because I’m very fair skinned and my veins show easily (like spider veins on my legs 😞) and I can’t stand it when people tell me I “need a tan”. 🙄 “Uhh, thank you, but... no thank you.” lol!)
Thank you for showing that women of colour are elegant as well ❤️
Rain is even more difficult than winter.
I'll never forget this anna time
"Everything that is high end, I like" smiles... I agree with you 100 % lol
This is so true, I live in Bali, my makeups melts within 5 mins
I cannot stop watching your videos, Anna, they are my daily dose of elegance :)
You are fantastic you at the beginning of your advice could pass as the,," bond girl" xx😍😊
Anna!!!!!!!!
YOU ARE MY GODMOTHER!
Liker seriously, you know that feeling when you are shopping and you have no clue what to pick and what to buy? Like you just know you need winter clothes but how should they look like or what to pick or what colors look better and you're lost and making the worst decisions and end up buying things that are very expensive but will never wear them?
Well that is me every time I'm shopping, LITERALLY! and guess its never happening again THANKS TO YOU!
Haha, I love how you say “it’s impossible to wear high heels in 1 meter of snow and -30 without a car”
Hahahahah, come to Russia! Seriously our middle class women are trying so hard!! They wear crazy stiletto heels (boots) on basically ice! And they walk and take buses/subway everyday everywhere!)))))))
😂😂😂
That's awful, I hope they aren't falling so much!
I cant imagine!! do they use their stilettos as ice picks?
Hi Anna! I've been watching your videos lately and I find all of your tips very useful. I think you really help women become empowered by loving and embracing our femininity and becoming classy women. Love all your tips.
Merry Christmas Anna I hope you’re having a wonderful time in Sweden with your family. What a perfect time to upload, I love winter attire so this is the kind of video I love. That said I was actually looking for the new years for some classes in Qc for manner wines type ect to be more comfortable and your videos encourage me !
You did a fabulous job on this video and you look absolutely sensational.
Most of the time I wear dresses and skirts sewn by myself with a sewing machine, under my coat I wear cardigans or suitable pullover. Often I wear a scarf, and something on my head, it is between cap and heat it is from wool. The material is Jersey, therry, knitwear and dresses from Viscose, It suits me. I love delicately flowerprints and I wear these prints often. I combinate monochrom colours with prints.
You are so gorgeous! I wish!
