That's easy...A NiceTrench or Coat & a scarf. I don't care what you wear underneath...a nice coat/trench paired with a nice scarf elevates everything. Not mentioned would be a nice clean leather bag.🥰

I got so many compliments this summer, I have upgraded to linens and silk, elegant and feminine clothes. I have not changed my fashion sense, just put more effort in expressing it, just by putting in some thought and time. I honestly can’t recommend shopping secondhand enough! I have coats in cashmere/camel hair/virgin wool, scarves in silk/alpaca, genuine leather/suede boots, wool/camel hair trousers mostly under $10 US each and I was able to transition my wardrobe to all natural high quality fibers on a super small budget!

It’s usually worth the trip to go to an affluent neighborhoods thrift store, I also find great high end furniture in these areas as well. I just purchased a lamp that retails for $500 for $15. Great advice… I thrift often and hit the sales rack at Ann Taylor. Combining high end pieces with my sales finds really dresses up my wardrobe on an elementary school teacher salary. 😁

Ladies! Let me tell you a bit about my glow up. I arrived in my current city not speaking the language well so I couldn’t get a job in my field of education. I was working in call centres, coffee shops, even doing people’s laundry (yuck!). I shopped on second hand stores, closely scanning them for hidden gems… the $5000 wool and fur coat still with tags that a rich person had decided was out of fashion and barely wore. I ended up with an amazing wardrobe and always receive compliments… now, I got into one of the most exclusive law schools, live in one of the most expensive areas of town and have done a total glow up. I’ve been listening to Anna Bey the whole time, and she did mention to start with second hand or consignment stores to start (now I do a mixture of high, low, some vintage and some new). Good luck ladies!

Love your tips, and special effects. I also love pumpkin spice lattes! You've come a long way. I remember when you first started out and got a lot of push back, but being feminine is wonderful, and women are in their power when they connect with their natural femininity.

Yesterday, I wore a silk scarf, with a simple linen dress, for the first time since May (California summers are too hot). It felt so great. I’ve always worn them, and until recently I’m usually the only one around who does. I just can’t resist their softness, femininity and soft colors, and they make simple outfits so much more interesting. I’m glad they are back “in style”, I never thought they were really out.

I agree totally Anna about the poncho. Two years ago I began wearing my first plaid early spring my love poncho and I had so many compliments on it, that I picked up a second one for fall. Every since then I have added a couple more and every time I put one on people just rave about it. Each time it's been a heavier weight and a different color and I feel so fabulous when I wear them. It's the perfect accessory when you want to do a little shopping and keep the chill off but not leave Overcomer with heavy jackets and coats in the store and you want to try something on or you want to have a luncheon with a friend out on the patio. Frankly I'm so glad they're back in style again and I love it with a pair of Slimming trousers

Definitely agree I’m a curvy girl with DD chest & my calves are pretty huge due to bone structure on top of my size 10 feet. I’d love to hear tips for the curvier girls in the boot area. I find the over knee boots to work for me since they stretch however riding boots especially in leather are hard to find for my wide calves.
Long, flowy skirts that hit you at the exact right point (ex. If you have small ankles, just above ankle length to show then off, if you have ankles you prefer to hide, go with almost floor length), paired with ankle boots - a friend of mine always ROCKS this look in fall!
@@kizzyellis7365 Your options. 1. Buy wide calf knee high boots. If you order online- MEASURE your calf and check the calf width of the boots BEFORE you buy. The description box has that information. 2. Go to a store, try on the boots, before buying. 3. Buy regular width calf boots. Go to a shoe repair shop, have matching elastic inserted into the calf.

I need to share this with you, Anna. I normally wear jeans and some pullovers, but since I'm watching your level up videos, I'm trying to be more feminine. So I bought a pair of brown knee high boots recently (never ever had any) and today I chose to wear them with a long knitted cream dress and a brown belt. My hair was nice and wavy, my makeup was very natural. I was running errands and I can tell you, men looked at me like 👀, turned around, etc. One of them even said good morning. 🤭 I'm only in the beginning of this journey, but I think I'm on the right path. Hey Anna, any tips on how to dress while pregnant? I am sure many women would be interested in this kind of video...and perhaps the casual yet neat and classy busy Mom look?
I find it hard on women once they become mothers they generally have less time to combine think about their wardrobe, yet not every woman wants to look like a tired doormat in t-shirt and jeans stained from her toddler's lunch...those who do I regret. But sometimes there is no time to think about an outfit as kids are running around so any tips on quick, elegant yet practical clothing there? Thanks!
A tip i can give you is : on your rest day when you feel good about yourself and have time, pick outfits from your wardrobe and take pictures. Then arrange your pictures in an album in your phone, then you can just look at the pictures in your phone and decide what you want to wear

After getting a puppy this year I also thought "How on earth can dog owner ladies look elegant in their daily life?!" Especially when the puppy is small, you have to take it out every few hours, and the puppy might chew on your sleeves and hems so convenience is key. But that also leads to athletic wear in my case. In my desperate moments I've thought "Maybe elegant ladies just don't have dogs".
Maxi dresses with empire waists, with lovely colored light cashmere cardigans and bejeweled sandals or minimalist flats.
Solid color or Breton stripe fitted tunics or tops with leggings and high boots, or with straight leg pants and ankle boots, with a smart and sharp blazer on top.
Soft cashmere swaters with jeans, a scarf and non athletic, walking sneakers for casual wear.
A wrap dress with a low heeled pump or slingback for fancy occasions.

Culottes with a long vest and boots is how I'm wearing those elements together. It keeps the feminine vibe and doesn't create more horizontal lines when in the same color!! Yes! You can wear a thermoshirt under an elegant blouse so you look elegant while still warm. I know there are also clear tights with fleece hidden in them (but you don’t see this at all from the exterior. But not sure where to get those. Thanks Anna great video!

I really like royal colors like emerald green, burgundy, purple, etc. I think people can look quite classy wearing nice pieces with these colors. Does anyone else think so or are neutral colors just always classier?
It actually depends I can agree with emerald green, burgundy and even purple but in pastel in case of purple because purple can be just too much in the face unless its purple turtleneck basically everything depends on the pieces and colour combination
I’d say neutrals with a pop of color, say in a handbag or shoes. Or maybe with a piece of jewelry.

Culottes with boots! Yes! I remember when I was in elementary school (early 2000s), this one teacher always stood out to me because she was very fashionable. Her culottes with pointed toe high heel boots is ingrained into my memory. It’s such a classic outfit.

I would add turtlenecks and mock necks that you can layer under dresses and midi skirts with the heeled boots that always looks elegant as well as the quilted vest/jackets over the turtlenecks that add to the equestrian sort of style. Also felt brim hats and felt newsboy caps that will be trendy this season but are also a very classic elegant look for the fall!
Classic block heeled Chelsea boots are a great variation too!

I’m really looking forward to fall! It’s over 100 degrees where I live with extremely high humidity, so during the summer I sweat so bad within minutes of walking outside that all my makeup comes off and my clothes are instantly saturated no matter how light the fabrics are 😭😭😭
