The newer Silent Knight voice systems are always the one that have the audio failure where it's distorted in some parts of the message because of their bad Quality Control

This time it doesn’t have audio failure!

Haven’t heard that voice evac message before, pretty interesting. It kinda annoys me that they only put one pull station on the system, but maybe that’s because new installations around me always have pull stations near every exit.

they might not want pull stations in a school

@ I still think it’s important to have a pull station by every exit. A simple way to deter false alarms is to put a stopper over every pull station. Every school in my area does that.

@@dabitzz pretty sure my district requires pull stations at every exit door, but every area is different. I know that some districts in other states only require one pull station and just have smoke detectors everywhere else. I’ve also heard that some districts require pull stations at every exit, but no smoke detectors if the building has sprinklers installed. I don’t know much about other areas of my state, but smoke and heat detectors are still usually installed even if there’s sprinklers around here. Doesn’t hurt to have extra measures of protection ya know?

@@siphonralarms9411 I'd actually like to see a pull station cover that not only has the alarm like the stoppers but also has a camera that snaps a picture of the person who pulled it. Let the person try explaining a clear shot of his face, with the facility cameras recording it in action.

I'm surprised there's a sounder base on the smoke you set off. how come the horn didn't go off on it?

It's more like his state, or at least the jurisdiction, has a contract with Silent Knight. I don't know if it was my state or the college I attended, but all had Simplex systems, ranging from new installs with True Alert horn strobes back to 4051s with coded pulls. The math building even had a Simplex system with bells.

Using a magnet to test smoke detectors doesn’t comply with NFPA 72. Showing that you are improperly testing systems opens you up to liability.

@@YourAlarmist hello sir as I stated in bold red text in the video the system was activated that way as the only pull station is way up by the panel in a mechanical room
