Those smokes are mostly garbage. When my middle school was built 1996?, they had a Thorn-Autocall system that used these smokes. They wound up replacing all of them because they were so faulty. Not sure if it was related, but almost every single time there was a thunderstorm with lightning that moved through, you could count on the fire alarm getting tripped. It took about 2 or 3 years to get that fixed.

Thorn modified those smokes a lot. The Apollo ones (OEM) are solid
