    Gohar. Similar to Asal - she needs some time at "Attitude Camp" / "Finishing School for Squash Players". I get she's frustrated - El Sherbini keeps beating her and now there are more young Egyptians and the odd American working for those top spots. Settle in, set an example. You're one of the best, the very best. You'll never look back at your career and say "I wish I argued with the refs more, shook less hands after the match". You're a technically good player, but you need to work on your character.

    For both the mens and the womens, I wish there was more respect from the players for their opponents but also for the referees.
    There should also be a tour psychologist and every player should have mandatory visits to work on their emotional issues and reactivity because it has a bad effect on the game and viewership.
    It’s ok do disagree with a decision by a referee, that’s what the review system is there but being verbally aggressive and disrespectful towards them is highly u acceptable and I wish the PSA would take action on these issues

      Great, hard-fought match with some terrible ref calls... To you it's entertainment... To the players on the court, it's for their paycheck/livelihood.
      Nothing disgusting about Gohar's behavior... A bit too intense, and lacking sportsmanship at the end, yes... But not disgusting... Disgusting is when a player spits in the face of their opponent, or headbutts them, like you see in soccer.

    At 5:08.... Gohar was long gone. That wasn't even CLOSE to a stroke. Its interesting how the players aren't even allowed a discussion with the ref or they get conduct warnings and a conduct stroke. What happens to the ref if they are right? Nothing.....

  • @Larry-jj8sb
    @Larry-jj8sb 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Gohar never moves into the T after a shot. She always has a leg or an arm out when opponent goes for her shot and feigns disbelief and frustration if umpire calls let or stroke. This against any opponent she plays. Look at some of the battles she has with Hammamy. Central part of her game plan to get in the way. The no handshake? Let her sit next tournament out ....

  • @user-ny1ot1wn4j
    @user-ny1ot1wn4j 29 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Refs should change the scoreline ONLY when they are sure" Build that simple axiom into the logic sequences that are recommend to refs, and you will solve most of the problems. See it applied it below to a common and frequently controversial traffic issue..... (then you can go back and apply the logic to this match, and see where you get the same or different outcomes to the ref👍🏼) 🎾A loose shot is returned successfully straight and wide by a player and from the T, anwhile their opponent is hunkered down next to them, as close as they dare, ready to pounce forward or backward (or even across through the other player for the volley). First, before applying the above logic, lets clear up one common misunderstanding : while the player hitting the ball is entitled to finish their stroke, they are not entitled to then remain on the T if their opponents path to the ball is through the T - There is still a duty to make reasonable effort to clear the path if possible.
    Ok, Below is the simple logic process (only two stages!) that carefully seeks out sureness/definites, and cautiously avoids bringing any "probables" into play:
    ⁉Q1. Would the player who is potentially entitled to a let or stroke have reached the ball if the path was clear? (taking into consideration everything, including their current tiredness or injury). If the answer is they DEFINITELY would NOT have reached the ball, then the punitive decision of no-let should be made. They loose the point. But if the answer is ANYTHING else, go to Q2...
    ⁉Q2. Was there an opportunity and reasonable effort made to clear? (taking into consideration that there can sometimes be more than one route to the ball (to the volley or after the bounce), and with the out-of-position opponent standing quite close to them, there might not have been sufficient time for the player to react to whether their opponent is going to take it on the volley, or take it later) If the answer is that there was DEFINITELY an opportunity to clear, and Definitely no reasonable effort made to clear" then its a stroke. But if the answer is ANYTHING else, it's a let. SORTED! Not a single use of the word probably, likely, possibly, might have etc.
    🎾Yes, this will cause more lets, but of paramount importance, it will cause much fewer instances of the ref changing the score line based on a "probable" or "possible,". It will cause less instances of close five-game matches being decided on the inappropriate score-changing effect of uncertain strokes and no-lets. "If it ain't clear - don't change the score-line : play a let." Likewise, by adopting language from this logic in the explanation, there will be consistency - not only in the decision making, but in the language and logic of the explanation. Great for Officials, Great for Players, Great for the Olympics 2028 ! 👍🏼👍🏿👍

    • @B1J0D
      @B1J0D 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I'm not following your logic? If each players movement is good there's a significant amount of space on the court.
