WOW what a performance by Nour el Sherbini. When she's in the zone, she plays fluent and dominant squash like no-one else and her shots are the best in the women's circuit
One observation on this match as against Hammamy's match. Sherbini was going behind Gohar to get the forehand volleys from the centre and was successful. Hammamy was trying to go from front and was getting stuck
Gregory Gautier moved Sherbini from starting to struggle despite being an excellent (one of the best) players ever, into almost unplayable and back to her number one place. Her movement and tactics are just so far improved.
only 3 out of 4 racket sports allow both power & finesse.......squash/badminton/table tennis, where mastering power is not enough/////////////soft highlobs, 8 delicate drops are winners........tennis still have to develppe such skills........its ashame that only tennis have big stadiums & massive viewers.......allowing big prize money.......YES THE PRINCESS IS PLAYING BETTER & BETTER
Gohar can hit really hard shots but her game is one dimensional and predictable. I’m sure it places pressure but sherbini is just too experienced in neutralising gohars power game. Love the contrast in styles.
I would love if Squashtv could have a shows like Monday night football where they engage with fans and have debates with different players. Discussing highlights and insights. I love what they do but would love to be engaged between tournaments.
Some saying sherbini is slow on court but just look at the speed and court coverage plus superb shot play from sherbini proves the game is not all about power👍
I have never heard anybody say Sherbini is slow...? As far as I know she has actually always been fated for her movement and incredible anticipation and reading of the fame
Gohar has improved from a few years ago. She also looks more athletic and leaner. But with a player like Elsherbini, she has to work on improving strategy. When she feels that she needs to win badly, she starts to hit the ball very strong, losing control. She has to learn to calm down when she is under pressure and to play more with the mind, not with the full strength.
She needs to drill and drill for tens of hours on her drop shots. I think she is able to rely on her power with most players, but not with the last 2-3 in the world.
Me too. Is it terrible to dislike a player who cannot bring herself to shake the hand of an opponent who beat her fair and square (Elaraby)? She is all smiles and graciousness when she wins but can't give you the time of day when she loses. Not a great player.
Waing for the day when the speech actually says something. I shouldn't be so difficult to say something special. Tired of this "im so happy, he/she never gives up, plays so well, thanks for my sponsors bs" Otherwise im not salty they played very well and im happy Gohar lost, shes bad vibes:)

Agreed. In the 3rd game, Gohar looked like she had seen a ghost. It seemed like she knew she was outmatched.
What a performance Sherbini,👏👏👏👏👏

Nice.. congrats..
ElSherbini sensational against a strong and worthy opponent!

She's a great player this one, such a competitor, well done Nour.

Gohar’s short game was absolutely horrific in this game
Gohar needs to come up with a strategy other than hitting powerful shots on which Elsherbini feeds and thrives

After Gohar does the hard work that puts Sherbini in a bad position, she fails to hit the target with the proper shot weight.
She needs to drill and drill for tens of hours on her drop shots. I think she is able to rely on her power with most players, but not with the last 2-3 in the world.
She’s one of the best wrestlers with omen players ever👍
Was the prize for 1st place $50.000 ?
More like $3.25
a pittance
As bad as it sounds... I'm glad to see Gohar lose

To beat a talent like coll. Farag is the only one
Nah…it’s easy to beat Coll
@reamartin6458 I bet coll couldn't beat you on the keyboard OR the touchscreen
Better then Paul Coll 😂
A shame for Gohar “Asal “…
Gohar is always loses to Shebini. Surely squash is relative
