Not sure the exact context of what the commentators were discussing, but just to be clear, you aren't allowed to not clear your opponent's path just because the ball comes towards the center of the court. You're allowed to take your normal space to hit the ball and finish your swing, but then, as always, you have to do your best to allow your opponent access to the ball promptly. This may require quickly bringing in your limbs and moving out of your opponent's line once your follow through is done, even if you have to move slightly off the T to do so, and even if you hit a good shot that you think is a winning shot. The only way to know if it is a winning shot for sure is to give your opponent a chance to get to it.
It was amusing to hear the co-commentator laying out the importance and purpose of practise on the court to perfect shots. Does she not know that Simon was a former world no.3. Thanks for the match.
Why has the quality of coverage declined so much? Audio is awful with so much background noise. Also, why aren't full highlights posted on TH-cam now? This new format of clickbait titles looks really unprofessional.
I wish these kids(and the guys too) wouldn't screech and yell when they're playing. It looks so silly. If they played and forgot about the histrionics it'd be a better look all the way round.
