  • 9:36 Yes I drop the carburetor on the concrete while apart, and it still runs PERFECT lol! Now this of course won't work for everyone, not everyone has the same exhaust and such. This should help you of those were you cannot start your engine like me and it was too lean whenever it did run. This helped mine so much and saved me from putting on a Mikuni. I also checked the valve lash and they were set to the maximum. So I tighten them up, but will make another video for that! Hope this helps! I never accept defeat!

    Thanks for the help. After talking with you on Facebook yesterday I was able to drill out just the low speed jets and fixed my issues. Be careful. I did brake the drill bit off inside the jet and spent the next hour working it out. I don't have the size sorry. Bit is now in 3 pieces now. Ugh.

      Yeah its hard to read the size on them for sure! once mine got mixed up that was it lol So glad you got it going and thanks for all the feedback it will help out for sure!

    Great video. I saw on one video they put different sizes jets to solve the problem of one exhaust being longer than the other. Thats stupid. Like you obviously, i prefer same size jets in both cylinders. Rather tune headers than mess with one cylinder running rich and the other lean. Good job! See you riding strong!

    Mine on my mud boat started running like crap ended up having to pull the air cleaner off and using my hand to choke it and leave my hand choking it to get out of the swamp today. Guess I got trash in the carb or something but I do feel it has always been on the lean side. Imma try this to mine and see if I can get it to run better before spending the money for the dirt bike carb.

      Yeah I would for sure buddy mine ran good 2 years now this is second winter as well it gets below 0 and up to 100 degrees in summer no extra tuning required runs good in both. I haven't messed wiht mine since install!

    Just bought new predator 22hp. Stalls out when I give gas, unless I slowly apply throttle. If I hold choke half open throttle is must more responsive. Ideas?

      Sorry buddy I was outside all day or would have helped ya sooner. I replied on facebook I'll just copy what I put on there and head back out to mow before dark hopefully its right and helps. "Yeah thats the low speed jets idle jets you can drill out the welch plugs and adjust it out a little more and it will start without the choke but run a little leaner than it already is. I did that till I drilled them out one size bigger. So when you hold the choke in it chokes some of the air flow to compensate for the fuel/air mixture. I hope this helps buddy."

    If I understand correctly, you drilled the idle jets out 1 size larger. You also drilled the main jets out 1 size larger. I know the motor came with 2 different size main jets, a 105 and a 108. Did you equalize those? If so what size did you wind up with?

    • @kartguy
      @kartguy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah buddy you said it perfect one up on each, then mine are the same size because both my exhaust pipes are equal in length. Yeah they do that a little off on each on because that one enters really far from output of exhaust and other is right by the output hole so they offset to make up for that. So if you equal your pipes out which is why I really did my mains because of the 12 inch pipes, which ended up adding 6 inches to them and didn't change it any! Should have left them at 12 inchs they were perfect! Thanks for watching buddy! LLet me know if you need any help!

      @@kartguy Did you drill the 108 out 1 size and then drill the 105 out to the same size as you did for the 108? Thanks for the reply and the great videos!!!

      @@craigmitchell5628 Sorry I can't believe I forgot to mention that part they both went to 109 that way they were jetted for the short pipes going under the regular jetting didnt seem right so went up one on the bigger one and the samlller one got same drill bit. Sorry I should have thought about that.

    What size bit did you use?

    • @kartguy
      @kartguy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      On which one? Honestly it would be a guess they got all mixed up when I opened it but I know the mains are now like 62 and idle in the 70's. I'm really not sure since they got mixed up. I just laid them all out and put each one in till it was the same size then went only 1 up, only 1 size. Hope this helps sorry wish they made a better pack to organize the bits when you open them they go everywhere lol

      @@cantgobck69 Yeah people say that mines been two years runs great, of course you have to adjust air during colder and warmer times thats a given. When tuned for 80 degrees and its 20 in Ohio not going to run the best on that crisp cold air.
