  • Tripods are messy and take up a lot of room. In this video, I show my home studio setup and review the Cobra Monopod and Spider Crab Magic Arms from iFootage. This equipment really helps with content creation in confined spaces.

    It’s not something I’d probably ever use, but the quality and usability of these products is really impressive. Love the beard, Dave. It’s charming.

    Love this sort of content - I get that it might not perform well because of the break away from normal programming, but it's great to see.
    For me, it was an introduction to something I had not considered - I have traditional tripods, and lightstands etc and just accept that if I have to leave my desk, I may as well be competing on Crystal Maze with the contortions involved 😅
    PS: the home studio setup has always looked very cool!

    That looks some nice kit - I assume it could easily support a shaving mirror! 😂

      I'm sure it would. I seem to have misplaced mine. 😁

    Great Review!! What kind of camera(s) do you use?

      I'm mainly using a Panasonic S5 now - sometimes connected to a Blackmagic Design Video Assist 7 12G, to record 5.9K BRAW. It's a fantastic camera!

    Yes, and YES!
    I have a relatively small space as well, and these 2 monopods are ideal for me. I will be doing my upgrade in January.
    Thanks for the video

    These look really nice. Would the MonoPod work well for nighttime photography with an iPhone, do you think?

    • @ConstantGeekery
      @ConstantGeekery  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I wouldn’t use it with the round base outdoors. There is a mini tripod option that it fits onto that would work better. You’ll want to have the phone on a delayed shutter timer, because monopods are more prone to wobble. There are some other photo specific models too. A nice light portable solution 👍🏻
