NO “ladies’HIJAB” found in the Quran.
The word HIJAB is used in the Quran but not for ladies.
Check these Ayath/verses that they say have Hijab in them. (But not found)
In Quran 33.59 - “ … JILBAB over themselves…”
in Quran 24.31 - “… Khimar over the Jayb..”
The word is KHIMAR in the Quran.24.31
- Root Meaning of KHIMAR is just a COVERING,
it can also be a neck scarf, any scarf, dupatta, chadar, etc.
There is no head, hair, veil, niqab or any such importance in the Quran,
Check the transliteration of Quran 24.31:
“yadribna bi’Khumur’ihinna ala juyoob’ihinna”
[Plurals : khumur, juyoob]

KHIMAR = COVERING
and
JAYB just means OPENING
- like an opening in a dress, deep-neck, like shirt pocket - is a jayb
To verify from the Quran
check this example in
//Quran 28.32 (part)
“…. yadaka fee jayb’ika …”. //
“… put your hand in your Jayb..”
(clearly a pocket or opening in the dress)
(or) some people translate it as chest/ bosoms coz that’s where the Jayb is.
Look at where the importance is in the verse:
“COVERING over the Jayb”
- but the EXPLANATIONS of ‘Sect’ /Firqa leaders promoted the concept of ladies’HIJAB
- by adding it in books written much later after the Quran AND by adding words with brackets in translations and explanations - gradually shifting the importance of COVERING the Jayb
- giving importance away from the Jayb seems like DISTRACTION from the main EMPHASIS.
- AND also these Firqa leaders wrote the Dictionary centuries later to push their meanings
- please ask them : when and who wrote the Dictionary that they show their meanings from?
We should not accept new meanings to the words after the word is used in the Quran
- in the present era the meanings can be understood by checking the same word usage within the Quran
- see where the word is used again.
QURAN is it’s own DICTIONARY within it - (by using the important words in other verses and locking the meanings).
They should know when the same root word is used for khumur/intoxicants even then it’s used for “COVER”
- - any intoxicant or alcohol
COVERS the ability INSIDE THE MIND - -
Please NOTE : khumur /intoxicants/ALCOHOL does NOT cover the HAIR or outer-head.
How can a religion claiming to be for the whole world - promote desert clothing for far off freezing lands?
They’re Spreading culture and calling it religion - They took the desert clothing that is needed in sand storms and called it religion
OTHER religious groups were ALREADY wearing it in the desert.
IF anyone wants TO FOLLOW WORDS OF ALLAH then they should verify with the Quran - coz every secondary source should match with the Quran
AND they should not add words in translations.
JILBAB:
Means any decent OUTER CLOTHING worn above the under-garments - it’s plural is JALABIB
The verse in the Quran 33.59 is about JILBAB - it’s about wearing outer clothing - where it also says that “they can be RECOGNISED and NOT HARASSED”
So the condition is to be recognised :
how will anyone RECOGNISE if you cover fully?
- So avoid tight clothing - it’s really simple as per Quran.
Wearing clothes that the security personnel and other people are scared of coz they cannot recognise the person inside - as a result you face difficulty and then that results in feeling harassed.
Check the verse Q.33.59 below and remember that some translations or interpretations have added words in brackets - so look at Arabic /or word-to-word translation to VERIFY, yes VERIFY.
“… alay’ihinna min jalabib’ihinna… “
(Plural-is JALABIB)

O Prophet! Ask your wives, daughters, and believing women to draw their JILBAB over themselves .
In this way it is more likely that they will be RECOGNISED

Notice it’s only talking about properly covering themselves - there is NO emphasis on head, hair, face covering in this verse also.

Yeah Muhammad married a woman with children and he loved those children so much that he years later bullied one of her grown sons out of the girl he was in love with because Muhammad felt the urge whenever he saw her.
This is recorded in Islamic scripture.
Your prophet ended up keeping her for his own and nobody was allowed to say anything about it.

As a Pakistani muslim woman with children of my own, I say : shame on all you muslim families who prevent halal marriage of your children to good muslim reverts just because of race and ethnicity.

It doesn't have to be the SAME culture but I also suggested to her (in another comment) to give white reverts a chance (he can be American, Australian, French etc) because marrying someone who has things in common does help (also White's are very open-minded & will be more accepting of her previous life)

It’s really interesting to realise women struggle as much as (serious) men do. I am a revert myself; apart from what relates to children, I can resonate with all your struggles.
I spent quite sometime trying to understand why people in some ethnicities were too focused on skin tone than on how good of a Muslim one strives to become.
Fast forward to when I moved to the UK and found myself being rejected because of my nationality as well. If you aren’t UK born, you aren’t good enough.
It just seems to me that we deliberately choose to complicate what Allah has made easy for us.

It is really sad to hear this but unfortunately , this is true. If most of our parents truly studied or understood the deen this would never be an issue. its mainly due to cultural/traditional mindset, which can be difficult to change.

Whenever I hear about reverts who get rejected because of the colour of their skin, I wish I could let them know that they dodged a bullet. You really do not want to be living the rest of your life trying to please closed-minded people who already have made their mind up about you. When you think long-term, it's better to marry into a family that is righteous and looks at piety (which is something people can control) instead of skin colour.
Unfortunately, the European emancipation mission which started with colonialism, and carried up to date, corrupted the morale compass of the muslim population. In Algeria, French colonialism used a horde of missionary to promote racism, superstition, magic, and blasphemous languages.

Has anyone seen Archangel Gabriel visit the self proclaimed Arab prophet? Has anyone seen the self proclaimed prophet perform miracles? Did the Torah, Psalms or Gospels prophesy such an Arab prophet from Arabia? What was the religion of the self proclaimed prophet religion at the time of his birth? If God wanted to send a prophet, He would have chosen from the People of the Book and not a person born in a family practicing polytheism. Also as per the scripture believed to be recieved by the self proclaimed prophet, God doesn't know that Christians don't worship Mary, Mother of Jesus as God and mistakes Jesus mother as Moses sister. The following verse is from another holy book sent by God to Prophet Musa or Prophet Moses.
“Yes, this is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: ‘Do not let the prophets and diviners among you deceive you. Do not listen to the dreams you encourage them to have. They are prophesying lies to you in my name. I have not sent them,’ declares the Lord” (Jeremiah 29:8-9).

Yes, he came in human form to see the prophecy whilst he was amongst his companions. See Hadith 2 in the 40 al nawawi.

Yes, his contemporaries. See "the splitting of the moon". You must keep in mind that the Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم peace be upon him could not perform these miracles on his own and he could only when Allah had granted him the power to do so, in a similar way that Jesus peace be upon him could breathe life into clay birds and cure the leper and the blind.
- Did the Torah, Psalms or Gospels prophesy such an Arab prophet from Arabia?
Yes, they did!
I am not Christian and therefore do not know exactly the difference between the Psalms and Gospels, however I found this analysis of a verse from the bible: (which I assume to be from the Gospel since I understand Psalms are the Old Testament.)
“And he said, the Lord came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from Mount Paran, and he came with ten thousand saints; from right hand went a fiery law for them.” (Deuteronomy 33:2)
"Coming from Sinai refers to the appearance of Moses(as) and rising up from Seir alludes to that of Jesus(as). The prophet who shone forth from Mount Paran could be no other than the Holy Prophet(saw) of Arabia, as Paran is the ancient name of the part of Arabia where the children of Ishmael(as), the ancestors of Hazrat Muhammad(saw), settled. The Arabic form of the word Paran is Faran or Pharan. Jacut’s Geographisches Worterbuch (F. Wüstenfeld, Leipzig, 1862, Vol. III, P834) says that Faran is the name of Mecca. The word Faran seems to be the Arabic Farran. It means two refugees. It appears that the place took its name from Hager and Ishmael(as), who came there as refugees. Dr. A. Benisch calls it in his translation of Pentateuch the Desert of Paran.
What unmistakably points to the identity of Muhammad(saw) is the phrase: “he came with ten thousand saints” and “from his right hand went a fiery law for them.” At the time of the conquest of Mecca, ten thousand holy men followed at his heels and he was the bearer of the law of the Quran. Hence, the prophecy has been wonderfully fulfilled in the person of Holy Prophet Muhammad, (peace and blessings of God be upon him)."
As of what I believe to be the Psalms, It says in the Song of Solomon (5:9-16):
"“My beloved is white and ruddy”. This was the colour of Muhammad(saw), Thirdly, “Chiefest among ten thousand”. We have already shown that Muhammad(saw) was at the head of ten thousand followers at the time of the conquest of Mecca. The fourth and most striking point in this prophecy is the name of Muhammad(saw) in verse 16. It reads: “Yea, he is altogether lovely” in the English Bible. In the Hebrew Bible, the word is “Muhammad-im”. See Hebrew Bible printed for the British and Foreign Bible Society by Trowitzsch & Sons, Berlin, P. 1159."

Answer:
“The kingdom of God shall be taken from you and given to a nation bringing forth fruits thereof.” Matthew 21:43)
Thus Jesus(as) has made it clear that the Prophet who came after him was not to be of the Israelites but from another nation - their brethren, the Ishmaelites.
- What was the religion of the self proclaimed prophet religion at the time of his birth?
I do not have knowledge of the religion of Muhammad at his birth. He was born in a polytheistic environment but was not polytheistic himself. He believed only one God existed and retired to the cave of Hira to meditate (or pray) on Allah's creation. This is where the angel Gabriel will give him the first revelation. He has been described as “Hanif” translated as true believer, an adjective also used to qualify Abraham. It might be interesting for you to look at how Abraham found faith in God despite living in a pagan society as well.

In your last paragraph, you mention that in the Quran, God says Christians worship Mary (or Meryam) and mistake Mary as Moses' Sister. Interestingly, you raise the latter point as it has been subject to misinterpretations even amongst Arabs themselves.
As for the first point, in prayers like the “Hail Mary” or “Ave Maria,'' there is an ambiguity as to whether or not Roman Catholics do or do not worship Mary since they pray to her for intercession and give her titles such as “Mother of God”. As you might already know, Saints or intercession are considered “shirk” in Islam or Association to God, which is a cause for Muslims thinking Christianity is not a truly monotheistic religion, (in addition to the trinity concept. )
As for the “O sister of Harun”,
"O sister of Aaron! Thy father was not a man of evil, nor thy mother a woman unchaste!"
There are several explanations:
The expression "oukhta Haroun أُخْتَ هَارُونَ is mistakenly translated here as "sister of Aaron" whereas this same expression can be translated as "similar to Aaron", or even "spiritual descendant of Aaron", or even simply "descendant of the tribe of Aaron".
There can be no confusion between Mary the sister of Aaron and Mary the mother of Jesus, and what the Koran specifies in verse 19:28 is that Mary was of exemplary piety and worthy of the teachings inherited from her ancestor Aaron, the Messenger of God and brother of Moses.
Another source emphasizes further: - It was said that Aaron is the brother of Moses, and what is meant is: Oh, who(Mary) we thought was like Aaron in worship, how could you come up with something like this?
Others interpreted it as the following: Mary was one of the descendants of Aaron, Moses’ brother, so she was attributed to him as a brother because she was one of his descendants, just as it is said to Al-Tamimi: O brother of Tamim, and to Al-Arabi, O brother of the Arabs.

@@sajidabenmbarek Mary, Mother of Jesus is never part of the Trinity and is never worshipped by Christians. Hail Mary is not a prayer created by the Church, but is the greetings Archangel Gabriel spoke to Mary. The question here is nothing but why God as per your scripture don't know that Mary is not worshipped as God and intercession itself is words which means to mediate between God and a person. A per Christian faith, God is so Holy that we are unworthy to ask anything to Him and that is when Mary and Saints, who led a life as per the will of God, rewarded them the right to ask for favours, could pray on behalf of us to God. By seeking intercession, we are actually accepting to be unworthy in the sight of God and humbling ourselves. Unlike the self proclaimed prophet from Mecca in Arabia, Mary and Saints perform miracles and that to in the name of Jesus Just look how Archangel Gabriel visit the self proclaimed prophet from Mecca in Arabia. Archangel Gabriel is not rude like the way it is portrayed in the Arabic scripture? The following verse is a reference to the Holy Trinity

In genesis 1:26, God The Father is talking to God The Son and God The Holy Spirit. Anyways God is using here the term 'we can', anyways God The Father would be speaking to God The Son and God The Holy Spirit as only God as per the scripture is the creator.

I’m a born Muslim woman, and I would 100% choose a revert Muslim man over a born Muslim man given the option because Islam must be CHOSEN and for those born Muslim who do, they’ll see no difference between a revert and born Muslim. The light of the heart will be the same, if not brighter.
I find culture to be a complete deterrent in deen these days, rather than to complement it. Humans will always create corruption through self determined hierarchies - even within a culture they’ll create tribes. Once you meet a family like that it’s best to step away.
Plus as a Black East African woman born into a lineage that has always been Muslim, I already see how I still get treated/ looked down on when seeking intercultural or interracial marriage just because of being black. I would never inflict that level of unwarranted and un-Islamic rejection on a person because of their ethnicity, race, any non-Muslims in their family or past life, nor would I join a family that does. This is all a test.

I agree with the revert logic honestly.. But sometimes it's not always the same. Some reverts are still not as serious, like Dave Chappel for example. And sometimes born Muslims can be amazing when they actually search for the truth like a revert would, like the brothers Mohammed Ali, Mohammed Hijab, or Sheikh Uthman.
I'm not trying to brag, but Alhamdulillah, I feel like one of these types of people. Despite Iiving in a "Muslim country," I had doubts and kept on looking for answers to questions I would ponder, but couldn't ask about them to people around me; because their faith is blind or unknowledgeable or even my language difficulties.
So, again. I understand that it's more likely for a revert who charishes what he had been missing in his life (Islam), than a non-revert who takes his deen for granted to be a better person. But, neither case is 100% and it's best to chose based on the character when getting to know them for a while first.
You need to avoid the extreme of fetishising people who are born non-muslim and the muslim community has this inferiority complex where they worship converts. There's still a gamble involved here. I am a Bengali man and my parents are completely happy for me to marry converts and people from any ethnicity but I do know that many converts leave Islam or are still very liberal, and being actually devout will be such a "culture" shock for them - no music, no free-mixing with opposite genders, massively restricted on which movies and TV shows we can watch etc. Also, there are some eastern cultural values which are toxic, but there are also some that strengthen the marriage, hence there's less divorces. I grew up in a location with white non-muslims only and non-muslim life is built upon anti-Abrahamic values - non-muslim culture is thus not good for marriage either. I've seen marriages with converts fail.
People from non-muslim backgrounds divorce a lot because divorce is normalised in their culture.
A number of born-Muslims actually do ask themselves the big questions in life and turn to Islam themselves.
Ultimately, whether you are born muslim or a convert, you need to make sure you're not so culturally oriented and actually utilise elements of culture that are good for a marriage and not harmful - have those conversations before marriage. It's better to marry someone who doesn't identify with their own cultures so much. For me, many women who are converting these days tend not to be very orthodox, conservative muslim so it's not worth it. What if they're going through a phase etc. Ultimately, it's all *dependent on the person*.
By your own logic, your not even eligible as you didn't 'choose' your religion. Anyway, I've got news for you - women reverts outnumber men 4 to 1. Looks like you should go east African. Somali's are a good example of people who are humble and pious and those are excellent qualities to look out for in a husband

Sister Aisha, take your time in searching and selecting you are still young. My advice is to always judge men by their actions, not by their sayings. Look at their history and ask questions like what did you do towards helping and caring for your parents (actions), what did you do to spread islam (actions), what did you do to memorise and implement quran in your life (actions) and so on. Never discuss what do you think, what would you do, etc.

Fake kind actions is very easy considering that we cannot properly date so we only spent a very limited time together in public.

Dear Aisha, we were really sad to hear about your divorce. Sadly there are many beautiful pious revert sisters in similar positions all over the world. Allah will give you better in sha Allah. A mature husband, loving and caring and racing in studying the Deen with you. Just hold onto the rope of Allah. This is your test, and in my experience, reverts are tested as soon as they take their Shahada. Our duas are with you and your daughter, Allah is the best of Planners.

Although i am a born muslim living in a muslim country and all my family and friends are muslim even then i am having the same issues in finding a spouse just like you and i am 33 years old and single. Many of my friends are single too and struggling.

... to be honest, when we (men) are young boys, and I'm sure young women as well, we do not even consider divorcees as our first marriage, we only think about starting things with someone who is also starting for the first time... in the back of our minds, divorce to us, has us only consider that they (man or woman) is willing to break marriage, but we're naive to consider all the wrong and right reasons why divorces happen... we rely on elders but even they too are concerned with what divorcees may bring because they want to look out for their child as well... the problem with older generations was simply they didn't always fully explain things, it was either yes or no with "because I said so"...

Successful marriage is in adjustment rather than thinking as an ideal husband or ideal wife.This is the natural rule as in hadees if you see some bad qualities in your spouse look at some other good qualities which are very much there . This applies to both husband and wife. Actually one is mr different and another is miss different.So one should be pragmatic

Its important to to realise that if the biological father of your daughter is still alive, then he IS her Wali, but only if he is muslim. Children have rights. On the day of judgment,.you will be called by your father's name. Our beloved prophet would have made sure that the rights if the children are protected, thats why we are commanded to be honest and truthful to them.

Yes Please stay away from those who are not serious about marriage, especially when they do MISYAR and MISFAR. My husband is Arab and from Medinah, and he does that. I found out after he married someone and she contacted me. He used her as MISFAR. After he successfully completed his mission of buying a car from Germany he flew back to Madinah, then she was divorced. I was shocked. she is a revert too. May Allah protect all reverts and all women.

Temporary marriage is haram. Any marriage that is done with the intention of divorce is haram.
Aisha I would also highly recommend you to look into narcissistic behaviour so you can notice red flags. Unfortunately, in this day and age, narcissists are everywhere.
I am incredibly sorry to hear about your experience with the culture barrier. I just wanted you to know that perhaps it was Allah who saved YOU from getting into a marriage where the family were not accepting of you.
I'd highly recommend you look into setting boundaries. It's something I had to do with people within my own culture. There are too many people who abuse their power using culture as their shield, but we must set our boundaries and know that we do not have to put up with it.
May Allah grant you a righteous spouse that will be the coolness of your eyes and be good company for your daughter.

It is sad to hear that this also happens in other parts of the world. Currently, in a similar situation, add being over 40. Some of us were not fortunate enough to have been born into a Muslim family. We have, however, been blessed to find the right path later in life. Alhamdulillah. Our cultures, ethnicities and traditions also differ, but we do not put any of those above Islam. And while we have sabr, we also want to be accepted and seen as worthy spouses for Muslim men and women.
Can relate. I’m 35, a convert from East Europe. I converted 8 years ago. I haven’t been able to marry because when I had prospects, it always halted to their mother not accepting a European / a convert / someone who had a past before conversion / “oh she can’t cook anyway”
(I’m a very passionate amateur cook). Once a mother of a prospect said I don’t *look* innocent enough. I don’t know what that means. I dress decently.

@@gimmelicoriceIt isn’t an excuse but the reason most such families do this is that they don’t want someone out of their culture regardless of whether they are reverts or born Muslims. As someone born into a Muslim, I don’t have that mindset. I actually admire the struggles of reverts. While I don’t have a particular preference when it comes to marriage (no preference for reverts over born Muslims or vice versa), if I want to marry a revert I will make sure I talk to my parents about it first before looking for someone. If I cannot convince them then at least I wouldn’t have gotten someone involved and broken their hearts.
