I needed to hear this. I dated a Muslim guy for 3yrs and funny enough he was like the best guy, friend and brother I ever had. The first day his dad set eyes on me he disliked my spirit. The guy wasn't the very committed Muslim and he attended Christian schools and so knows a bit about Christianity. It was his father's decision that he goes to those Christian schools because they're more discipline and high performing than Islamic schools. I attended church service on some occasions with him. Prayed with him in the name of Jesus. He was very respectful of me and I did really loved him. When we were about leaving school he would propose we move to a distant region or country to start life so we can marry. He never insinuated I convert to Islam because he used to tell me religion shouldn't divide people and that was huge for me hearing it from him. But of course I did not agree with escaping to be together. A week after I left for my region after we both finished the university, he called me one evening to tell me he wants me to be happy and marrying me into his family is the least place I would find happiness. He told me his family would never accept me no matter what he does. He told me it will break his heart to see me rejected by his family so h wants to let me go. I was broken and felt nothing would ever make me whole again. He finally confessed to me his dad had arranged a Muslim lady for him and the lady was staying with his mom waiting for him to finish sch. He is married to her and they have a child together. It was extremely hard for me to move on. Being with someone for 3yrs and doing almost everything together? I couldn't do nothing without missing him. But at the end I am glad we broke off the relationship and not marriage. At the beginning of Christian Muslim relationship, it's always very assuring that it will work be they never do. I hope Christian ladies who are trapped in it find their strength and in the holy Spirit to move out and move on.
The bible States very clear that Christians should only marry other christians, WE should obay the LORD JESUS CHRIST, If He IS truly our GOD. Listen to the HOLY ✨ SPIRIT ✨

I appreciate you sharing your heart and your experience. I understand what you went through. It is so tempting to believe the ideals a loved one is telling us. It is very hard sometimes to be single struggling with loneliness or facing the challenges of doing life on your own. But....your story really encourages single people to wait for a dedicated Christian.

I thought about dating a Muslim man… but honestly I found him so incredibly condescending. They don’t respect Christianity. Also him constantly trying to say Jesus is not god offended me. I knew someone who had a similar situation, A young lady from Scotland qualified as a teacher the opportunity arose for her to go to Saudi Arabia to teach English. Having meet a Saudi national whom she liked but this individual turned out to be a monster abusing her in every way in the name of Religion . I had a similar story years back I live in Los Angeles and I dated a guy from Syria and the same thing his whole thing was that he wanted me to convert to Islam and he was deceiving me with little things just like you but his final idea was for me to convert in order to get married to him. At the end I didn’t do it we broke up and I found out that he was cheating on me the whole time. Maybe you didn’t know but no one just gets married in three months he was already contemplating marrying somebody else because you wouldn’t convert. Same thing happened to me as soon as we broke up with in couple of months he went to his country and he got married and he brought his new wife here to America. I found out that he was already talking to her and her family when we were in a relationship so trust me they are liars even if you don’t think so and if you’re still in love with him trust me he was probably lying and cheating the whole time and you didn’t know they are master manipulators and they know how to cheat very well. Dating an Arab would only end up in heartbreak.

Thank you for your testimony. I was in a relationship with an Arab Muslim man and although he “claimed” he wasn’t religious which made me relived, all rules of his religion were imposed on the woman, but not him. He was so jealous and possessive. I had no right to talk to men even if I have been friends with them since childhood. I was told that only whores are not home past 10pm even when all I did was drive from my dad’s home at midnight to his home… in my CAR. I wasn’t OUT. As much as their religion says that men can marry a Christian, your religion has absolutely no respect in their eyes. I got so upset one time when he told me that no Christian names could be given to our kids. It would be unacceptable. Then I truly realized that you as a woman are just a decoration without dignity for them. A tool for a means. I never felt more oppressed in my entire life as a woman until this relationship and I pride myself as a women of equal rights and freedom of being. I learned a big lesson and have a lot of regret entering that relationship too. Too many beautiful words but in action over time he had no respect. He also lied like I have never heard before. Ladies, be careful out there before you sell your soul. You may lose everything including your children.

This is not a kind of relationship one wishes for life where the man doesn’t respect you at all on all fundamental levels. Women are smart, capable, dignified… they do not belong to a man nor 1/2 in the eyes of God. 😔 Imagine what women could achieve if they are allowed in these societies to truly be productive and free to operate their lives without hiding their face and their talents and their intelligence just so men can feel better about themselves.
Wow, this really touched my heart. I too dated a Muslim guy from Morocco for about 2 years and I too am a Christian. Seeing you in these long dresses and scarves just bring back memories for me. He also bought me hijabs as gifts when he would come back from visits to his county. I loved him so much but unfortunately it didn't work out because of religion and I too would not turn Muslim after knowing who Jesus is. I've not really gotten over my love for him up until today but I can never choose a man over our Jesus... Praise God for just keeping me from further heartache.

Sister i also dated an arab Muslim guy who was an amazing human being and we were together 7 years and at that point I lost my faith... I was ignostic for a long time and had a hate towards God (lord forgive me). Anyways one day I woke up and felt the lord calling me back home to him. At that moment I broke up with my boyfriend and I ran to Jesus... this was 4 years ago and I've been walking with christ since then and I have become so much closer to God.
He wasn't a bad person, he was the best person I've met and my bestfriend but Jesus will always come first... now I am single but I'm confident God has someone amazing for me one day who will serve the lord with me. Using any law or quote to their advantage, whatever suits him at the time! When I left him for good, he went to a "temporary," (even tho he was still married to his cousin in Iraq.) Gosh that ending I cried for you sister. I can imagine the pain you felt.. you spent a lot of time with this man and had a lot of memories with him. It probably felt like a ton of bricks just hit you when you heard he was married. Went through something similar but I cut it off pretty early before it could even begin. Still hurt though because he was like everything I wanted in a man. He was literally perfect. Everything I wanted... except he didn't believe in Jesus. He was a great provider, had good morals, we could talk for hours nonstop, family oriented, great work ethic and very bright. I kept on making excuses in my mind, like oh maybe I'll convert him to Christianity. Hurt me badly when I had to cut it off but I learned my lesson. As an outsider to your experience I can see how you were slowly being sucked in and if you had said yes to marrying him, you could have been beaten by your husband for going against his wishes (especially if he's the jealous type), rape is not only allowed but also expected in marriage in Islam, you don't get to make decisions over your kids and his control would have only gotten stricter and stricter. Not only that but he could have taken more wives while also being married to you. And if you had joined Islam, there is the death penalty for leaving it especially in an Islamic state like UAE. They don't explain any of these conditions to people converting to Islam. See also Suras 4:3; 23:5-6; 33:50; 70:22-30, all of which permit male slave owners to have sex with their slave girls. Suras 23:5-6 and 70:22-230 allow men to have sex with them in the Meccan period, during times of peace before Muhammad initiated his skirmishes and wars in Medina.
Surah 4:24 is the one that literally says that if a muslim man can't marry any free muslim woman, then they can marry their captive woman even if her husband is still alive.

From wicca/transcendental meditation/pranic healing/yoga/shamanic healing/santo daime....I had several supernatural experiences. I desired and constantly searched for God. And I was always looking for a man to save me...when my husband and father of my two children left me I was devastated. They were raised in a lukewarm church when I first became a believer because it was the environment my worldly self could feel comfortable in when I first started going to church. When we moved to a new state I found a more biblical congregation but sadly it is starting to be more like my old one. That being said my teenage children have some foundation in the Lord but not much belief, power and strength in the Lord yet. But I believe that the Lord will be faithful and answer my prayers to save them as well as my mother who is an unbeliever as well. On a side note the Lord did save my little sister about 5 or 6 years ago! She is now married to a Christian man and is expecting a second child this spring! 😁 💗🙌

I am a a Roman Catholic since birth and I am at peace with my belief, never allowed myself to be swayed by false misinterpretations. If I have doubts, I go to our priest. I have dated A Muslim for over 2 years now I had to break it off with him a few months ago religion would always get in the way. I always respected his decision because I know in Romans it speaks of household salvation and those who care for the Lord’s people will live forever so I just was okay with him being Muslim. But when he would tell me I am going to hell for so called believing in three gods I knew his heart was not pure he would send me reliant less videos of Zahkir I just felt so much tension agrression hatered towards me just because What I chose to believe. Christianity to me is more of a feeling then seeing I see through my heart that Jesus Christ is the son of God I always has visions of him sitting on the throne right hand of God. Please pray and pray hard because it for sure is a spiritual warfare Muslims have hate in their heart towards non Muslims you can see in their words actions and energy. I have a neighbor Muslim I never force the Gospel on her I just show the love of Christ to her but yet she still acts a little funny towards me. Unlike faith. For though we can say we won’t convert to islam, but choose to dress, and willing to marry even if they don’t force islam we are compromising. As Christians we have to live out our faith not just talk about it. Pray this changed ur life to do that.
Being able to wish happiness and blessings to a person who either hurt you or was "the one who got away" displays true love for that person. It's incredibly difficult and painful but it is required for maturity and growth necessary to make room in your heart for the love of someone in the future.
They say the opposite of love is hate. Actually, it's indifference.

Heard of you via David Wood and Acts 17 Apologetics. My wife had a similar testimony from when she worked in Saudi Arabia. Met a guy (Egyptian), fell in love. He did not insist on her becoming Muslim but wanted her to lie to his parents that their children would be raised Muslim. She refused to lie and it caused all kinds of problems. (There was an inheiritance at stake.) He chose money, She chose truth. She came to England, Prayed to God to meet a good man, we married a year later. (Now have two handsome CHRISTIAN sons.) Her only regret: She asked for a good man and not a rich man! lol.
Sadly now, she has a niece working in UAE. She is not a Christian, but is dating a Muslim man. Praying for her to see what she will lose by turning to Islam for marraige.

My niece was dating a Muslim boy. From 15 to 21… such a gorgeous girl, loyal. Finished high school. Started university. He was always out made her stay home, she caught him cheating many times. Young love. Only met his brother who lived on his own and was dating an Australian girl (we live in Australia) and we are Italian. We have had a really weird mix of religion while growing up. But I’ve always loved Jesus due to my own personal experience. He would only come over and stay for a small amount of time and over the years I tried to explain to her what a real relationship should look like. How we shouldn’t deny Jesus and how she would be forced to change or her children would have to be raised as Muslim if she wanted to marry this boy. He was always respectful to us. Helped her and encourage her to study and kept her focused. Slowly slowly she opened her eyes and left him…. I pray ur niece has an open mind and strong will and intuition to release she truly has free will and oppression and abuse of women is wrong

Definitely you're an intelligent and mature girl/woman. I appreciate the fact that you exhausted everything, investigated and researched, studied widely...and gave every chance to your ex...while being honest and open all that...before you learned it wouldn't work. And from the way you talked about your ex, I understood he was a decent person...but he was chained by his culture that he couldn't be the man you wanted him to be. So, I can't see any reason to blame him.
I think you were able to do that because you knew yourself and you knew what you wanted. All that made you very principled and firm on your decision. "Know thyself", that's for sure the key before we can make the right decisions about our lives.
