Thank you a thousand times!!!! ! Huntersville Ford, Huntersville, N.C. quoted $508.00 to replace lock and match factory key! Paid $37.17 for the new lock. I was afraid to disassemble my original lock. It was working but would come completely out of the steering column when I turned it off. I used this video to rekey the new switch w/o disassembling the factory lock. It works perfectly! Thank you again! I’m also going to review the purchase of the lock and add your video.

Why didn’t you keep track of the customers wafers as you removed them and you would not have had to guess the code; you could just have reinstalled the correct wafers in the correct slots?
I can’t remember this particular situation, but sometimes the customer wants the original key to work, or a new key, or after running the vin they want it keyed back to that, or whatever the situation. Yes we are aware of how to do that and we use that technique, but in this situation we had to rekey it.
im currently working on a 10 f150 and its impossible to pull the cyl out through the rear due to lug on inner cyl and corresponding groove on outer cyl not sure why yours is different perhaps yours is a different year or aftermarket but this method does not work for all 10 f150's otherwise decent video
Update: the oem cyl cannot be removed from the back. The replacement (sw-6991 au5z - 11582 b) has a groove that connects and is repaired the way you show in this video. Having access to ford workshop manuals and all online content is kinda worthless when it comes to actually rebuilding the cylinder thanks for the info. My customer is mobile again.

@GuardianSafeAndLock what are those tools called you used to depress the wafers
Excellent! Thank you! Do you think a 2012 Ford F150 Platinum will have the same cylinder?
The new ignition comes with a key but does the key for the 2010 Ford F150 xlt.
GREAT!

Why don’t you just decode the key on the machine to get all the cuts that will save you some time bro
So you can actually just buy a new cylinder and rekey before you ever take the old one out.
