I get that Back to the Future vibe every time I walk out to my shop (Blue 87 Toyota 4x4). Ranger reminds me of my buddy's truck, $700 extracab raingutter Ranger (AKA Goldmember). His was "supposed" to be a budget build (now backhalved/linked/engine swapped/caged). Good luck with it.

Super excited to see this build unfold I have the same year make, model and engine ranger even same color just with an automatic transmission. As the Acme media vehicle you should have got an SUV Bronco or K10 square body.
Wouldn’t be my first choice for build platform.
